What is a good salary in Prague, Czech Republic?

I am talking about the average salary and how much you can get for it. What is your net salary compared to your gross salary, what is the cost of living in Prague, Czech Republic.
Is the average salary in the Czech Republic (38 000 CZK gross) enough to live comfortably? Well, it depends on your situation, your lifestyle etc. but generally I would say that is the minimum reasonable salary you should be looking for.
Besides the cost of your accommodation, food, transport pass, internet, phone etc. you also have to count with the "expat" costs such as the health insurance, revenue stamps for submitting your application etc.
Get in touch if you need any help with any of the processes or if you just have any questions, I'll be happy to help :)

Hi Jan, thank you for making this video. I'm planning to move to Brno with my family - wife (not working) and 2 kids aged 6 years & 1 year. I plan to take a 3 BHK apartment outside city center. We do not have very expensive tastes (cooking at home, minimal shopping). I'm a Finance manager in an MNC. What range of net (in hand, after deducting taxes & insurance) monthly salary would be required if I want to save 25 - 30% of my net salary (for retirement planning etc)?
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert 9 месяцев назад
My pleasure :) I would recommend at least 100k net. If you deduct 30%, that leaves you with 70k. 3 bedroom flat will be around 30k at leats, that leaves you with 40k to spend. Food, traveling, phones, savings for yearly insuramce etc. - 40k would be the very minimum in my opinion.

20K rent and 15K other expenses are min in the Czech Republic while you can't even make 35K net on average. It just does not make sense to live there as a worker. Depends on what you mean recognized. If you talk about employers, yes, they usually do not care where the diploma is from as long as it is what they are looking for. @jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert 6 месяцев назад
Well, I can not comment on if the salary is adequate to the job. What I can comment on is that 35k gross, translates to 28k net and studios start at about 17k so you might be left with 10k to live, save, invest and whatever else you do with your money.

@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert I would hope for 40K gross in that case. I am single so I don't need much. If I get the job offer I will move. Here in Norway you need to pay at least 10 000 norwegian crowns which is about 1000 euros, for even a small apartment with mediocre standard. Now, the average salary (of course that is just a virtual number and most people make less but still) is 50k gross so you would be making just a little above average. So, no longer a luxurious salary, more like ok, as you mentioned :) Comfortable but not super high.

When you are a healty person, it might sound like you can live but when you start having a family or a health issue or idk want to have couple of things to do as a hobby,then you have to pay thousands of money for nothing. simple process in dentist even cost 5k czk. Hi ! Is 2000 EUR/month net a good salary to live in Plzen. I plan to rent a room instead of an apartment to reduce costs.
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Год назад
That could work :) That would be around 50k CZK a month net, with renting a room, I can see that as an ok salary :)

Minimum salary in CZE is 16 200 CZK in 2022. Low qualified jobs are usually slightly above this. Depending on the exact position and city you work in.

Hi Jan, thanks for the video. I am from India. I am being offered around 133000 czk gross/month. If I accept it, i will be moving alongwith wife and 4 year old kid. Is this offer worth considering? Please consider angle of having a kid as well. Thank you.

Well, it depends on you lifestyle mainly. 133 gross will be 100 net. If you are fine with a smaller flat for 25000 CZK a month and you mainly cool at home, you should be able to live ok and maybe even save a bit. If you consider your family's insurance (say 50k a year) and and international kindergarten (say 10-15k a month), you will probably not have too luxurious life here but can certainly make it work.

Is 2600 EUR/month a good salary package.
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Год назад
It should be fine for one person to couple tops. Not really for a family. it also depends if 2600 EUR nett or gross. Nett is fine, gross would be like 50 000 CZK nett which would be like a borderline for a couple. Ok for one person.

@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert is 90K CZK NET is good salary for 3 person for living in Prague? How much we can save if expenses are normal.
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert
@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Год назад
@@amitkumardubey3932 I would say it's ok. Tje rent is super high now so you need to be ready to pay say 20-30k gor rent at least. Then say 1500 monthly tickets, 1500 monthly phones, food might be 20-30k monthly if you want to eat out from time to time. Healt insurnace for an adult is about 25k yearly, for a child either slightly less or more depending on the age. So, generally, if you REALLY focus on saving, you might be able to save 30k a month, if not and you just want to live your live here comfortably, you might save maybe 10k or so.
