What IS a Spartan - Halo Complete Story

+Eligible Monsters Gaming i think one of the things that confuses about the halo franchise is the forerunners because i am still confused about there origin and humanity role with them

+Tevya Smolka I dont have all the details but from what i remembered from the books and other media is that the Forerunners was one or our galaxy first being along with Humans and another race i dont remember (maybe the prohets), they bacame some of the most advance beings. the Forunners saw them selves as the holder of the "Mantel" a sort of otherity where they believed that they should guide the other races on their paths. All was going fine untill the flood started pooring into human controlled conoly and forced them to start looking for new homes this cause conflicts with the Forerunners who didnt want to accept the idea of the flood taking control. After a while a high ranked Foruner names the Didact along with other member of a concel decided to rage war on humans the turning them into prometheans (scary ai enemies from halo 4) until the remaining of the surviving humans where on earth where the Forunners nuked them to the stone age literally. More time passes and the Forunners kept fighting the flood untill they built the Halos to destory all living life. To make sure life continued they kept DNA cells in order to clone the races, all but the Humans they were saved by a Forunner named Librarian who saved them because she wanted other races to have the chance to claim the Mantel and believed that the humans were only trying to protect the galaxy when the flood attacked. Now that is about all i know when it comes to that there are some books that could explaing more and also the terminals in halo 4 do show a great deal of information. If anyone else has more information please let me know im always looking for some new information.

I like it cuz it feels like if humans went to war with aliens it would feel like this. Everything, even the spaceships looks like it was made by the military. And the covenant having their own style with using energy instead of bullets is really enjoyable

+Dilon Stutesman They make it seem like every spartan had an AI, but really master chief is the only one I've heard of having one. Yes noble team has Dot, but no one is carrying her around in their helmet. Also Cortana being on master chief mostly seems out of necessity.

+davante barbain The spartan TWOs already have the best training and gear in the universe, they couldn't have better chances of survival. The missions there are sent on are just so astronomically impossible.

+Tiber Septim IIRC Spartan IIIs were uniquely physically augmented, they removed most basic survival instincts like fear and pain/panic. Very unethical. IV may, powerwise, be more in line with IIIs than IIs however. But the project over all is much more humane, especially considering adult volunteers.

CLASS II

+Reagen Lionel Master Chief is a Spartan II and the Sniper for noble team Jun A-266 retired from being a Spartan III and became a recruiter for the Spartan IV project.

+Reagen Lionel noble team sinper is dead he died right out side of Reach's orbit protecting the doctor as for the other sparton that are still alive there are around 6 (10 counting the ones from halo wars) spartan ll. master chief and his group, 1 that is working for oni beyond covent space with 3 odst a scientist and some half spartan ( subject to change i havent finish the books) and another one that is some where. As for the spartans lll there are around 8 of them left from the over 10,000 that where made. with age ranging from 12 to 20ish and they are back with the unsc i dont what what happen with the younger ones but my guess they are off duty untill they become of age. And for spartan iv idk 100,000 give or take

+demonichoward2592 literally all wrong, Jun is alive, and recruiting for Spartan IVs, there is Blue Team and one more II left alive (the one you mentioned) plus Naomi (a failed II). There were 1,000 IIIs and currently around 1-2 thousand IVs
