Dysphoria is not merely confusion of one’s sex. I know clearly what my sex is. Dysphoria is pain and disgust with one’s sexed body. I would love to just drop the dysphoria and only be bisexual. But I haven’t been able to. Imagine feces being smeared on your skin. You feel a visceral disgust. You want to get it off. In that case you just need to wash it off. For me I would require surgery. I’m at least lucky that the intensity of my dysphoria fluctuates, otherwise I’d snap at this point. Now, I do believe that people conflate dysphoria with discomfort from people expecting certain things about them based on their sex. And instead of proving them wrong through actions, they think they must be the opposite sex because they don’t fall into stereotypes. Thus reinforcing stereotypes they are trying to get away from. Dysphoria ≠ Identity Thus, I am not identifying as a man, I am someone searching for a means of reducing or eliminating my dysphoria. A truth that, a few years ago, was universally accepted and was gospel is being denied and, abetted by the perfectly commendable desire to extend fairness and tolerance to a tiny minority, an ideology has been allowed to take root that is generating enormous confusion and causing enormous conflict and in some cases enormous mental harm amongst our youngsters. In the UK ,during a Green party leadership debate(it always starts with the greens🤣)not one of the candidates gave an answer to the question that was anywhere near the Oxford English Dictionary definition of Woman "an adult female human being" All panellists were set on not excluding transgender women (that is men who self identify as women) from the definition.
