My husband got his card today with the parole so when we crossed they gave him a permit and told us that he can only use it to cross in an emergency??? Is that true so he can’t cross every other weekend?
Hello, Do you recommend applying for your EAD within a few weeks of your arrival or wait until you filed you Adjustment of Status (I-485)? I know applying separately costs more but the application fee is waived when filed with the AOS. Did you have to wait 6-8 months from arrival to get a job? Hi Daniel, It is up to you. I only applied for the one with the AOS packet and it does take a long time. Approval time after filing is around 5 months and that is without delays or RFEs.

Great video! I only have one doubt: for what I know, the EAD usually expires in one year. Say a company wants to hire you, they usually ask for permanent residence, because what if they give you the job and after one year you still aren't a permanent resident (so you might be deportable). In that case, they have to fill up that role again. Does anyone have useful comments about this?

Hi Valor, Nothing guarantees entry to the US, same with a visitor visa. It is up to the customs officer to determine if you are admissible. Every case is different so it depends on the person. Hope it helps.

hello. i would like ask about the proper fee for EAD. I submitted my AOS application .after couple weeks i submitted my EAD and advance parole application. they accepted my advance parole application but they sent me back the I-765 form. we paid $1225 for I-485 and we assume that I-765 and I-131 was included. please i need your advice... thank you

Itzkay Foster hey!! Maybe this would help. I applied March and I did my biometric April and got the approval letter this September and in 2-3 days I got my EAD and SSN this September. Still waiting for green card.. I applied for the advanced parole together too and my EAD is also serving as a advance parole.

4 months after NOA1. But if you get an RFE or make a mistake it can take way longer. Filing locations change processing times as well. Good luck with your case!
