MVNOs, or Mobile Virtual Network Operators, are a type of communications services provider that operate similarly to traditional mobile network operators but with some key differences. While they sell mobile services under their own brand, issue SIM cards, and set prices for their products, they do not own the physical network infrastructure. Instead, they lease services from existing mobile operators.
Here, we’ll offer a breakdown of the different types of MVNOs, ranging from thin MVNOs to full MVNOs, each with varying levels of control and customization over the services they offer.
