In this One Piece Kuzan Aokiji character analysis I discuss the role of Aokiji in the one piece manga and the one piece anime. Kuzan is one of the marine admirals and wields the power of the ice logia devil fruit. Important moments for his character include the incident of Ohara, saving Robin, meeting the straw hat crew as well as the marine ford war. Aokiji follows the path of lazy justice, which is very different from the absolute justice of Akainu. In the fight aokiji vs akainu, Kuzan lost and from then on left the marines to follow his own path. Other important opponents of aokiji include doflamingo, whitebeard, luffy and robin.

This channels is like a year old and has 26k Subscribers, and he gets 20K views on Chapter reviews. Grand line review has 100k and about 20k views on his Video. This time next year Ohara will probably have 100K Subs plus. I remember when he had only 2K Subscribers.

A thief robs a store to feed his family. The admirals: Aokiji:Lets them go because they arent doing evil acts for the sake of evil Akainu:Kills them because the robbery affected the store owner and it was a crime Kizaru:Allows them to go because there are more thiefs that could be more dangerous Fujitora:Allows them to go because they are doing these acts out of selflessness and love towards his family

I get and like the analogy but three things 1. Sakazuki wouldn’t kill them just send them to prison the dudes not evil, just strict. 2. Barsilino would definitely let them go but if caught again would lock them up essentially giving the theif a warning. 3. Issho would not have only let the theif go but probably would have given the theif some money and or help him find a job so he no longer has to steal in the first place.

I really love all 4 of the known Admirals we have. Akainu is a ruthless, tenacious bastard who is a perfect admiral to combat the second golden age of pirates. Borsalino is condescending and slow yet terrifyingly competent. Kuzan is laid back and conflicted, but moral at heart. Fujitora is physically blind but sees through the injustice and always tries to do the right thing.

From the little we’ve seen of Green Bull his brand of justice seems fairly similar to Kuzan’s. Whether or not there’s an underlying cause as with Kuzan is an interesting question

Aokiji reluctantly executed Jaguar D. Saul, he was not pleased with his actions... because if he does not.... Akainu will do the execution personally...then report to headquarters that Aokiji was neglecting his duty Aokiji, has been walking the road to atonement ever since killing Saul...who was his best friend.

Honestly, Aokiji is one of my favorite characters outside of the main cast. I believe he started as Garp working for what he thought were the good side but then discovered the corruption on the world goverment. Massive respect for this guy, I'm curious to see what's going to happen with this character in the future.

it's crazy how many purposes ohara serves in the story of one piece. We learn more about poneglyphs and the secret history. It's the start of Robin's arc, the end of Saul's arc, a turning point for aokiji, and a defining moment for sakazuki. I have so much respect for Oda's writing skills

I find it interesting that the three Admirals have clear strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their ideology of Justice Akainu's Justice brings true Order and Peace but at the cost of Freedom and Individuality; No mercy Kizaru's Justice is Strong but is unclear/lacks an identity Aokiji's Justice is Merciful and Adaptable but has tendencies to breed complacency/weakness; can be inconsistent

He's following his own morals like you said, but whether that takes the form of working solo or with both pirates and/or marines, is not clear yet. The way he's portrayed doesn't align with Blackbeard, so betrayal from both sides is likely.

I feel Kuzan is a bit indecisive, so i think Akainu is a better fleet admiral in these troubled times. Also if it were fujitora or garp or sengoku, i think they would have found some way to adopt nico robin after saul tried so hard to protect her. Aokiji may have looked out for nico in secret but it was still cruel to literally leave a child on her own devices in this cruel world and her escape was even reported to the marines. I think previiously Kuzan too followed absolute justice like akainu, but ohara made him doubt himself....

@@Ohara-the-Fox The recent chapters actually paints Akainu in a favorable way, his actions so far are not very different from sengoku's. I think the added responsibility has softened him, so i dont think he too now follows absolute justice ... Akainu seems like a member of sword and might truly wants good for people. Kizaru though seems quite close to the celestial dragons. Kizaru for some reason kinda reminds me of Kimblee, though i do not think much of a similarity..

He still believes in absolute justice but as a fleet admiral, he is starting to feel the friction between his absolute justice and the World Government's orders. The World Government is fine with ignoring their own rules if they benefit. Akainu does not feel the same way. Order and rules are paramount to him.

@@d4dr4g0n Akainu was supportive of the shichibukai system, It was akanu who recruited fujitora and they were friends. Akainu very well knew how just fujitora is.. Akainu gets all the hate because he was the one who killed ace, but given the circumstances, if it were aokiji, he too would have killed ace if he were capable of killing him. In that war the only person in the marines who would not want to kill ace was Garp... Aokiji killed Saul and he was innocent. Aokiji was not all that different from akainu, its just that after ohara he was willing to look at things in not black and white lens, but he was too institutionalized to actually act. Akainu may not have softened, but he is serious about his position. Sengoku too covered up alabasta, if it were sengoku in akainu's position in dresrossa's case, i bet he too would be furious. Akainu is not all that different from sengoku, more extreme yes, but not drastically different.

Thanks for the video *Ohara.* Aokigi is a very mysterious man who I still don't know everything about him. Whatever his role maybe be in One Piece since leaving the WG and being affiliated with the Blackbeard Pirates, I will patiently wait when the time comes and he finally takes a side. P.S: The next Admiral I would want to know even better is *The Blind Samurai* Fujitora.

In the movie Z where he already left the Marines he mostly stands out of the way, only giving directions to Luffy and observing his former mentor there are two times he actually does something. When he saves an entire town (or at least most of it) from the volcanic eruption, going an extra mile to save a disabled old lady and her grandchildren and at the very end erecting a gigantic ice wall so his old friend can die according to his own wish. I think these show his heart well.

I love these character analysis videos but I feel by doing so soon before side characters can fully develop holds back the videos’ true potential. There’s still so many questions surrounding different characters and situations in the One Piece world

I think similar to garp he thought joining the marines would be the best path to exercise his justice if he was a pirate although he'd be expressing his truest form of justice he'd be going against the system like the difference of a policeman and bounty hunter if u know what i mean

Don´t worry! I would never ever sacrifice quality for quantity! :) It´s just a way to also push myself to work more consistently on my content. Just the opposite actually, I try to make every video I make a little better in some way or form

I know this is far ahead, but it would make sense and also would put things together for us now a bit. What if kuzan is aboard blackbeard's ship as a part of sword or other, with Akainu to take down black beard and luffy. Kuzan knew of luffy and Akainu blackbeard. and so they formulated a plan. End game after luffy shows up, he may side with kuzan to take down black beard. And the plan may be to take down luffy too, but his moral justice says to side with them in the final war.
