Thanks man, means a lot coming from you. And yeah, the whole thing took about a month to record, and I went back to change some scenes, such as the parking garage scene smashing into the crown vic.
you know, I have to really give it up to you man, that intro is what I think everyone daydreams about making when they play BNG at least once. Hell, I've dreamt up my fair share of car chases and scenarios while playing and I always think to myself, "man it would be so cool to see this edited together" and you just sat down and did it, props.
Props to you man that intro was the greatest BeamNG cinematic I have ever seen. It’s been such a pleasure to watch this simple sandbox evolve into the masterpiece it is today.
@@MistniRintintin 100% a movie in the first 10 minutes, there's that cost millions to do and have way worse cinematography and camera work, this small RU-vidr that I didn't even knew dropped this insane movie/review of beamng
The first introduction of the new Ducc character, and I made the head way too small. Goofy Beetlejuice-looking guy. This is sort of a two-in-one video, the intro could have probably been uploaded on its own, but it does a great job showcasing beams engine and features. The camera path and script AI features are super easy to use. Definitely won't be the last time I play with it. As far as animating goes, for having zero experience, I think it came out... passable. I need a lot more practice but was interesting to try out. Im no Piemations, but I think with a bit more experience, I can get repeatable consistent results that look good. Or at least better than this attempt. Maybe I'll redo it in the future. It would probably also help to get a real drawing tablet. Also also, if you notice any audio glitches, such as at 16:05, this is an issue I have been chasing for MONTHS, DaVinci has been beating me down with post-process audio bugs that I can't fully exterminate. I tried my best to fix them individually, but I guess I missed some. Anyways, I'm off to my banjo shack to make more content. See you again in 5 months...
Honestly it came out great, while yeah the animation was a little choppy at times and the head was way too small it turned out way better than something a lot of people could make. All in all your content has improved since the days of geo guesser and the long dark over on twitch. I cant wait to see what your do next and it would seem quite a few people would agree.
@torry5498 not for a while. I got way too much on my plate to stream, at least for now. Hopefully, if I ever manage to free up my schedule, or find a new place that does 4-10 hour days, Ill go back to it.
This video is a genuine masterpiece. I'm not only talking about the intro. The amount of care you put into this video is shown in every single frame. This deserves millions of views. I really can't express just how good you did putting this together, explaining all the various systems and backstories to everything about the game. Fantastic work!
1. There's a reason why Beam has over 97% positive reviews and 2. This video is a masterpiece. This the game that i play the most and i will never regret getting this game. I'm even trying to get 3 friends to buy Beam 😂👍
i already have 2 friends that play beamng and i'm the one showing them what it can do and where the good mods come from, really enjoy that i just have to figure out how to make my own beamMP server with my own mods to play with my friends
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for showing off my mod as well :p Ya know, the Gavril Vertex ^^ You went to insane detail in this video and I really appreciate that. There‘s just so much you can do in and with this game- as a player and as a modder! The possibilities in regards to modding are insanely broad and the limit in regards to how many details you can add to a vehicle is sky high
The old segment was even better. But I couldn't get the rights for the music I had wanted, and it didn't fit with the new music. I actually had a bolide spin and cut to black right as it got to the camera.
Hello! Im one of the creators of the Gavril Vertex and i wanted to tahnk you for not only this awesome video but also giving the car so much praise :) However you did get one thing wrong about it! The mod you have on your pc is no longer based on the automation export and shares basically nothing but the wipers with it. It went through a full redo and is now its own car independent from automation :) I made the whole exterior (excluding the lights wich are innocents work) 3d model and many custom parts as well as the configurations. Innocent being the jbeam god she is, of course made the original mod by themselves and handles jbeam and texturing as well as also some custom parts. our Friends Shados and Theo W., both also prominent in the community made all the skins as well as a completely custom interior model and textures respectively. It was truly a mammoth project that took over a year and a few months to fully complete. We are happy that you and so many others had such a great experience with the mod and we hope to give you more quality content soon :) I also think the 2000s are cool :p -Vanilla
I only just finished watching the intro and i can already tell this is gonna be one of the best reviews I've seen in a while. I genuinely thought this channel must have like 200k subs from the quality of that, and the Jet music is much appreciated.
Im typing this paused at 9:43. Dude, that was an entire movie. The fact that just is just considered the "Intro" baffles me. That is some talent right there!
I've been playing BeamNG since about 2016 but I still love watching videos like this about it and seeing what they have to say. This is one of the best i've ever seen, that 10 minute intro is AWESOME!
this game has and always will go hard, honestly its such a unicorn, nothing out there really like it and whatever does try to be a copy ends up just flopping in comparison. guess over a decade of game development will do that, huh? beamng is sorta like the gmod of car games I guess. (oh yeah, kickass intro, definitely deserves more credit!)
From the animation to the incredible camera pathing to the voiceover script, this is a pure work of art and a phenomenal infomercial for BeamNG. This should be official content in the PR department. Kudos!
Man that intro was bloody amazing and seeing the rest of the video it brings tears to my eye from where beamng was and how it slowly became to what it is now, absoluetly amazing of a video 10/10.
Really liked the vid especially the intro it felt like a Fast and Furios Film also the animated Character was really good LOVED IT. Just one small improvment tipp somtimes the breaks felt a bit long but the rest was GREAT !!! NICE Work.👍
I have well over 1200 hours on this game, and it never gets old. There is just so much stuff to do. You did a phenomenal job on this video. Keep it up! You got a new sub
Wow, that was brilliant... I loved every second of it! From the bottom of my heart, thank you and the entire community for making our game possible! Videos like this, and all the surrounding support, encourage our entire dev team to continue trying our best every day ♥
I came because I was notified that my friend's Vertex mod was featured. I stayed for the simply amazing production quality. Seriously, that intro gave me goose bumps
Commenting on the intro here, even without reading the description I can tell how long this was in the works for and let me tell you it was well worth it, I love the smokey and the bandit/dukes of hazzard type style police chase. I used to watch beamng chases like this so its nice to get a new one. Nice job
What is this? A multimillion dollar movie or a video for youtube? Good job man!!! I sent your video in the beamNG discord and thats maybe why they found out ( or tney just saw it in their recomendeds idk). Icredible job right here. It is the best video I have seen in a while. And the music! I mean it's sooooooooooooooooo good. I shared it to all my friends too! Good job! Hands down best beamNG explanation video I have ever seen!!!
BeamNG is a game that redefines what a car game is. Totally open source, as well as dev source. The game is 100% soft body physics but with added traction simulation and torque simulation coded to engine sounds. But over the years, it has become an amazing game and not just a sandbox
It is a really good mod, especially with your recent update with the larger visor lights. I favored destroying the crown vic more since my buddy has a real cvpi. Only seemed fitting.
Insane job on the video, it is one of THE introductions to the game of beamng, people may look at the game as it is just a sandbox with realistic crashes, but once you get into it... you can't stop. My first ever bought game and I dont regret buying it till this day. 🔥 video man, and hopes it gets recommended to even more people. Hats off 😌
The intro is like the intro of a car racing game, it should be the intro of beamng when you first open it. Absolutely incredible, the editing, the driving, the camera work, animation and eveything else. Incredible video 🎉
As an avid enjoyer of not just your work but also beamng drive myself I found this video to be the greatest video essay ever and the 10 minute intro was just *chefs kiss* beautiful really gave me baby driver vibes
I haven't played BeamNG in years, and last time I did Version 0.12 was the newest version. Looking at it now, I'm amazed with how detailed the game has become! Amazing video, as always.
Man I really really hope RU-vid takes off for you, like so may others I know what it's like to have to put your passion aside to pay the bills. But you have a genuine talent for making videos, can not wait to see what the future holds
This was an absolutely phenomenal video! Looked great and hit on things I hadn’t thought about in a while. I’ve had this game for 9 years and have always had a blast with it, and this still reignited something about it. Thanks for putting together this cinematic show and tell.
What an intro, my gosh, amazing job. The best BeamNG scene i've seen so far. And the gameplay video is also amazing, I can't think of how many hours you had to dedicate to each scene.
Honestly this video is phenomenal. It's worth mentioning though that the BeamNG AI is pretty good as well. It is brutally efficient in "Chase Me" mode and actually difficult to catch in "Flee" mode (its only weakness is that it can't deal with loss of grip very well).
That intro made it seem like I was sitting in the Drive-In back in the 1970's, watching any one of the car chase movies of that era. The shot of the Dodge at the very end made me laugh.
That was scream at the end was the most guttural thing I've ever heard. Struck me to a core, truly shivered my timbers! I'm crying and I have a feeling he is too.
Oh my god the fact you included RoR. Nobody i've seen yet did that. I started out with RoR when I was pretty young. The fact you recognize its existence is what solidifies this essay as the best i've seen yet regarding BeamNG.
Oh my, I just realized your the same guy who did the banger video on My Summer Car. Both videos made with knowledge only people with actual long term knowledge of the game would have. Great research man! Keep on making banger vids, wish you the best!
At first i was like "10 minute intro? hell no i aint watching that" But i did and i'm glad i did. Well done mate that was propably the best beamng edit i've seen. I've had BNG since nov 29 2015 and it's so cool to see how far the game has come since then.
the config is so detailed on plenty of cars that using the gavril d as a base, i recreated my 95 chevy truck even down to my engine and differentials and it actually feels like driving my truck irl
That intro was spectacular. No doubt a ton of work, but very impressive in both a well scripted chase scene and some great camera work. Super cool my guy
I've seen about 10 minutes of your work, and I have decided to subscribe. I can tell you're worth your salt and I look forward to seeing your channel grow.
