If you're interested in seeing what trainers we've covered so far, check out the True Power Playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PLFdGupe1YxoirUsiWFGTSL4nbF4Tm1tej REMAINING PHASE TWO TRAINERS: Lorelei Agatha Morty Chuck Pryce Clair Will Karen Silver
@Logan Johnson I've been trying to come up with a way to do battles with these trainers, the only problem is that Sword & Shield don't have a lot of the Pokemon that the trainers have :S
Manager: Im sorry Bruno but, you're fired Bruno.... *Five minutes later* Manager: *Limps back into the room, beaten to a bloody pulp* He.....didn't take that w- *Falls to the ground* Other E4 Members: OnO.....
Actually, bruno is the second worst canonically. Even when being 2nd, he comes after lorelei. I guess he beat her somehow, which is even more impressive.
Too bad the Anime shut that down by episode... what 5? It would have been WAY cooler for Bruno to be Brock's father, because that would mean he succeeded at his Pokemon Journey, becoming an Elite Four Member.
Lorelei is my all time favorite, however, she just doesn’t have enough Pokémon. All the Pokémon she has had: Dewgong, Cloyster, Jynx, Lapras, Slowbro, Alolan Sandslash, & Piloswine. That’s only 8, so it wouldn’t be that different
Fun fact: In spanish there's two relevant guys called Bruno. The elite four member and the hoenn's male protagonist (Brendan). That's why in the spanish version of Pokemon Master Bruno is called "Elite four's Bruno" or "Bruno del alto mando".
Woah! That's actually a super interesting fact I wasn't aware of. Since RBY take place at the same time as RSE, it's likely that there was at one point two Pokemon League members named "Bruno" in Spanish; Champion Bruno, and Elite 4 Bruno! 😂
Keep the elite 4 going with Lorelei, who gave us our first ever taste of the power of the e4. I remember getting absolutely wrecked by her Lapras, thanks to confuse ray and blizzard, the first time I played Blue version. Man I miss the days before you could just google upcoming trainers and prep strategies for them.
Meteu 101 going in blindly against powerful trainers was amazing sadly nowadays even if you do that the trainers are very weak and have bad AI compared to the previous games
I made it up to the "elite 4" in Sword before I broke down and looked up trainers. It was fun when I thought we were getting an ice gym so I trained up a new fire pokemon only to find out it was rock. 🤦🏼♀️ 🤣 I tried to look up as little as I could, but I did break down and look up some pokemon after a while because I had no clue when they evolved.
Kim E i only looked up how to evolve Linone, oh and were I can find giga max Gengar. I REALLY want one because I absolutely love gengar it was on my first team ever, and I love it a lot. Anyways I can’t wait for the true power of Agatha xD
Unfortunately, Silver doesn’t have many Pokémon to choose from. Just the three starters, Sneasle, Crobat, Gengar, Alakazam, & Magneton. Sneasel & Magneton are not evolved, so they would probably get kicked off
Wasn't expecting one so soon after watching the one on Bugsy but I cant complain! You did a great job here Silph. I'm a bit surprised you put Lucario over Machamp but your justifications make sense. For a primarily physically oriented team very few would expect a special sweeper like Lucario to come in to resist both Flying and Psychic types. I think it does a better job than Steelix in the resistance department too. As a lead Steelix is no doubt the best pick, plus its defense can wall a physical threat if they're not expecting it. I think the only reason I would consider putting Poliwrath on his team would be to counter all the Ground types that are a threat for his Steel types (and Alolan Golem) with STAB water moves. But you are right in putting Machamp over Poliwrath because of practically the same role, plus Machamp packs a mean Ice Punch even without STAB. For the next one, since everyone is sayingit, LeT's GeT AgAtHa!
I love both of those ideas! With the challenges I'm actually working on a way to be able to set up battles with these teams, but the only problem is that Sword & Shield don't have a lot of the Pokemon that these trainers have, unfortunately.
the reason Bruno goes to a spa is because anyone who is as serious as he is about training his body, is probably equally serious about proper recovery after intense training.
One look at Bruno and you understand that he's everything a fighting type trainer should be. Big, muscular and hard working. His Pokemon must be proud of him.
Too bad there's no lore that could bring the possibility of his Hitmontop being an egg child of his Hitmonchan, because that one point would grant Top Technician STAB Mach Punch. Speaking of priority moves, Lucario's parentage being an unknown factor as well means that the special set cannot with certainty be allowed access to STAB Vacuum Wave, which is a bit unfortunate too. Still, awesome True Power as always~ Let's go for the Elite 4's Ice Queen, Lorelai!!!
Do winnona's true power because she's in the tournament with falkner where he has lugia so she will have a legendary pokemon to and I want to see what it is going to be
No good pun crosses my mind this time but a little Funfact: The Name Bruno means: "The one with brown hair" despite the fact he only have in gen 1 brown hair.
For me, the biggest let down in the gen 2 games/remakes is the elite 4. They are SO under leveled and them being the same for both regions doesn’t totally make sense. Do they only use gen 2 Pokémon if you’re from johto? Also IMO elite 4 teams in general should be a combination of BLUE’s fun (not a single typing) and Norman’s gym trainers (more geared to a certain style). You could have a E4 trainer who specializes in walking you, or one that uses stat changes to their advantage to keep players on their toes
Now i totally get your choices and i have no problem with them. With that being said, i am disheartened Chan the Man couldn't make the cut. Lol! But maybe next gen he can show his true power and be atop of the pecking order!
I think Bruno would have Hitmonchan over Hitmontop, because his Hitmonchan has the elemental punches (not all of them). I feel like that would give him more type coverage.
Little upset they never gave Bruno the crystal Onyx from the show in the remakes and had an interesting backstory for how he caught it It would be a Unique Onyx with neutral to grass and water type attacks but week to steel and ground
@@fortnitesexman And how many other members of not just the Elite Four, but also Gym Leaders, have pokemon that counter something strong against their type?
@@fortnitesexman I'll admit I don't know them all by heart myself. But most that I remember don't have type coverage. Maybe the odd move here and there, but not a full pokemon. Which only really proves my point. Yes this makes him, as you've put it, "as smart as a grade schooler" but the games are meant for kids. It's likely why Agatha's pokemon are filled with poison types
I particularly like the usage of a second Onyx. To get the jump on trainers that think no one would be dumb enough to have more than one of them on a team.
I guess my theory is, If Bruno Moved on to bigger things to become an Elite four member Let's say that he was a former Gym Leader of the Saffron City Fighting Type Gym and then was given later on to the Karate Master as a replacement and then got smashed easily by Sabrina Let's say if Bruno was still the Gym Leader of the Fighting Type Gym and then he faced Sabrina I guess it would be a fair match, Type Disadvantage wise, for sure Bruno would be evenly match against Sabrina unlike the Karate Master that was easily beaten
