Ever heard of the term "chemo brain"?
It's this "fun" side effect that us cancer patients and survivors get to experience!
Here is quick video with a little more information about chemo brain.
I would appreciate if you could all share my videos in an effort to reach more people! If you know someone who is going through cancer treatment currently, please send them the link!

Thanks for doing this. I'm starting year 3 of treatment and its astonishing how nobody in the general population has ever even heard of chemo brain. I would get so many "the tumor is getting worse" looks whenever I would forget stuff or get confused. Such a comfort when I learned I wasnt alone. Best to you!

Lists are fantastic! I struggle with remembering the things I need to get done, I always keep a note pad handy so that the moment something important comes to mind, I can write it down before it "falls out". Nobody warned me about this side effect, in fact there is far too little talk about what life is like after cancer. Good for you for putting it out there! Calendar apps and note apps can be your best friend!

Thank you for this video. So far I have not had to be on chemo but I have been on a number of strong hormonal treatments for advanced cancer. Had many of the symptoms you covered. Hormonal brain is probably not as bad as chemo brain but it still really sucks. Lucky for me my wife has picked up the slack.

My mom simply asked me if I wanted scrambled or fried eggs and I responded by having a meltdown. At the time, I understood why my muscles had no energy when chemo dropped my red blood counts by 50%, but I didn't appreciate that my brain was also an organ that was being affected by low blood counts. It was having to operate on less oxygen. I found that it helped a lot to just have a sense of humor with all the side affects that comes along with chemo because they are weird, random, and embarrassing.

Have u heard of the abridge app? For recording ur drs appts (if ur dr is ok with being recorded)-I’m sure it would help with chemo brain, since the “pearls”, plus the convo is recorded!! U can share it with fam/friends! I just downloaded it-will try it the first time for me tomorrow!

Oh you sweet girl!! I relate sooo much!!! Chemo brain is REAL!!!! I think I will forever have it too. I will most likely forever have to take a chemo pill for maintenance. Not only that but I had a stem cell transplant and had a very strong chemo to kill all my cells in my body. I think I am permanently messed up!! 🙈🙈😂😰

Oh my gosh chemo brain is such a real thing😂 whenever I talk to my friends, I always find myself forgetting basic words, old memories, and mixing words that don’t even go with the sentence. I get laughed at a lot for it, but I just laugh with them lol. Thanks for the tips!

I don't know whether this is chemo brain or not, but it seems as though people talk faster than I can hear, particularly in healthcare offices. Part of it I chalk up to echoing sounds in small rooms. If I ask people to slow down -- you guessed it -- they talk louder. Has anyone else experienced this effect?

Do you feel that you have to rush to get everything done in your life, and how do you deal with the future. Sorry it's a heavy handed questions, but that's all I keep thinking about and I feel stuck .
@MagsBujalski

I thought a lot about this topic and I realized that cancer actually made me slow down. Before I was sick, I was in such a rush to “get my life together”. I worked multiple jobs, never enjoyed weekends or holidays because I always felt the need to work, I was in school full time and tried to juggle everything all at once. Getting sick made me reflect on everything that I missed out on because of that: time with friends & family, and even just time for myself. From now on, I will slow down and try to enjoy the moment more. There is no perfect timeline for life. Everyone accomplishes things at different points in their life! So don’t feel like you’re falling behind, because you’re not 😊

*question: instead of saying you have cancer, do people think it could be effective to refer to it differently; for example, in this instance you'd call it lymphoma.* *it takes the cancer out. Maybe possibly literally.* *humans, start a trend! Let's just not call it cancer anymore. It will take a couple of years to see the effect. Updating the language we use could help. Remember, god spoke and it was. The power of the word. Same idea here. Change this thing called cancer by eliminating the word and referring to the disease differently.*

For me, saying that I have cancer and not skirting around the word, gives me more power over the word. I’m not afraid of the word cancer.

Hi everyone reading this, I want to write this for everyone, because I know it's the Truth, Please turn to Jesus, He Loves you, and wants to save you from what you are going through, Only Jesus can truly heal you, He is a God of miracles, the bible says in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, I seen God do amazing things in my life and in the life's of people I know, There is nothing impossible to God, its as simple as asking Him to show you He is there and if you really want to know, He will answer you, I know this because it happened to me and others in my life.
