I was searching for info on disability policies. Top of the list was this old school gem from Bo and Brian!

Disability insurance is a basic protection of income, so if you are needing your income, disability insurance is a must! Great video as always, gentlemen!

I know I signed up for it at work because it was so cheap after taxes. If you get it through your employer does long term disability insurance always pay you % of your salary at your job? I don't recall HR saying how much I would receive if I actually had to file a claim.

I guess this would be a question for the employer, but do you also have to keep paying your employer offered health care premiums, dental, vision and life insurance premiums?

I also see that you usually have to apply for social security disability insurance...and the long term disability insurance reduces their payout accordingly...then why get LTD, if you can get SSDI? is it because SSDI is a small payout?

Yes. ~1.100$ And you have to be TOTALLY disabled for 24 months and prove it to the state once these 24 months passes.

What is the best life insurance for a 60 year old person on social security disability (due to a heart condition that only worsens with each passing day) that wants to make sure that in case of their death that at least their funeral expenses can be paid? I worry about this all the time that no one in my family will be able to afford to bury me.
