We’re adding back ups because we’re getting a haul from another team which I expect that extra cap space will be used for drafting more players than usual.
Where is the haul coming from?? At most you will get 1 more 2nd round pick this year.....most teams don't have two 1st round picks to trade in the same draft.

Right now the Bears have 1 WR1 and 2 WR5's in addition to 0 pure quality centers. Also, we still need 1 more TE & probably 1 more flex Oline person. So, the Bears still have a lot of work to do to just complete their offense. In addition, we should try to add to our defensive line at both DT & DE.
I think we are keeping J. Fields. Also, they are bringing in Backups and we have Big Dex as the starter at DT. I think we are going for WR and C and maybe edge after trading the #1 pick. Ian Rapport said that Bears have not been offering Fields on the Market. But I aslo think that Fields is not getting 40 million. I think 25-30 is fair unless he blows the doors off the season.

Put Marvin Harrison Jr with Dj Moore Cole kmet and Everett Swift and Herbert around Justin and on the defensive side they need that 3 tech and DE but the DE doesn't have to be top tier because sweat is the one that's going to get the top tier contract and they don't have enough cap for 2 so if they can get an above average DT and a solid DE and get Marvin this will open up the field for Justin and keep the defense off the field as much so they're not getting worn out in the 4th qtr of games. This FA has made sense to extend Fields to a reasonable extension and not tie up crazy money by overspending on FA's. Poles refers to FA as walking through a landmine field. I think he'll sign a WR 2 or 3, an edge, and a 3T before the draft. Trade back a spot or two to safely get MHJ and recoup some picks and get some insurance future 1st rounders (if Fields doesn't pan out). Or they get a haul and load up on picks and still get Odunze/Nabers and more. Taking Caleb at 1.1 seems less likely by the day, IMO. I think Poles is far more savvy than fans give him credit for. Since he's been GM, leaks from organization have been non-existent
Dude, you said Chase Young 😂🤣 and Poles should of traded Fields during the 2023 season. Fields value is getting weak everyday closers to the draft. Chicago has to pick Caleb Williams but CW can't play in cold weather like Fields.
D.J Wonnum visits tomorrow so I think he's be a good addition Remember Ryan Poles said when asked about what he's most excited for in the draft and he said " I think the tackle class is the most exciting" so I think definitely drafting starting caliber Left Tackle barring more craziness of course and if we don't get Mike Williams or Tee Higgins then draft MHJ or Odunze. Before writing this comment, I’m a Bears fan and will continue to be one. As of now, the Bears have signed nothing but second stringers. Poles has not signed a single premium player from the free agency thus far. Why? No Clue. Wild guess would be that Poles always intended to keep Fields and trade down for multiple draft picks for this year and following year. If this is not the case the Bears are totally fucked with only 5 picks from which only the first 2 picks will result in premium day one starters. Second wild guess, the Bears ownership has always had reputation of being cheap going back to days of George Halas. Are Poles hands tied. Finally if Bears take CW and put him behind this offensive team as it now stands, CW will get annihilated.

Inflation exists in the NFL football market just like anything else. In fact while values associated with the actual American economy and market system fluctuate, in the NFL contracts only seem to get more expensive. Sign JF now for 3 years at say 25/ million/yr in 3 years that 25 million is about 27.5 million. The Bears save 7.5 million. If JF balls out in 2024 then your looking to pay him 47 million next year. Giving him a contract, instills confidence in him, get the Bears a discount, puts pressure on JF to perform, makes the season strategy clear and concise going forward keeps cap space available. Genius move. However, if he does perform the Bears will have to pay up the ass to keep him and the fans will love him.
Here's bottom line. If Bears want to win the NFC this year the only way they can do it is to keep Justine and get Marvin Harrison,Jr, either Cade Stover in the draft, he is a tight end that can actually catch a contested ball he caught 90% of contested ones at Ohio State, great blocker, and runs routes like a wide receiver. Watch the film. Get an edge on defense, recommend Young. And another d-back. NFC Champs if this is done.

You simple move down, and wait till next year for 1 extra pick, and 2026, for 1 extra pick. As soon as you do t take Caleb you add 1 extra QB to the class, and teams can sit and wait for their guy, or make a trade with the Chargers who want to move down. No extra pick this year, none, 0. There is no “haul” buddy, he’s right. We traded the pick last year I don’t see poles doing it again. If he doesn’t draft one of these QBs and ANY or all of them turn out to better better than JF1 he is FIRED and possibly NEVER getting a GM job again. The Justin Fields QB situation is truly caustic and devisive . Keeping a proven failed pocket passer and failure in the 4th Quarter is a truly historically inept decision . If Poles chooses to keep Fields and not draft a Future QB …. He will be terminated after the season. Poles ultimately will secure his job and draft a QB ✅
We should trade our first for 2 first (2024,2025) 2 second (2024,2025) and a third this year. And offer our 4th this year. Keep fields draft a center a receiver and a d lineman.
