Hi Dr Frita. I always learn a lot from your videos. But i have a question : why do patients often die while they're connected to the machine ? Is it due to a sudden malfunction of the machine ?
I have only but one kidney and I am at stage 3A. I also have what is called restricted lung disease. And I also get a lot of spasms in my arms and legs and when that happens I go flying into first base can anything be done

You don’t need to have necessarily symptoms to start dialysis, if the bloods show you need to start then you need to start, earlier without symptoms it’s better than later in distress fighting for your life. Hope you did start dialysis back then. 🙏
Dr. I'm getting diabetes when my husband passed away. They said it was the shock. Now a few years later I got very sick and in hospital. That Prof. said I do have Hart and kidney failure due to deabetes and its buzzy sutting down my organs. I'm also COPD and have Ostrio Arthritis. He also said in my stage nothing will help I must just go on like this.... 🙈 I do drink about 5liters water per day and drink water tabs but get alot infections in my bludder, but only take home remedies for that. What do you think? I'm from South Africa and no medical aid and 55 years old. I 95 % only in bed and my burning painful feet is killing me. My feet swelling under the feet. They also dead. Walking wuth a walker. Can you please have advice for me?

Yes, nay patients with AKI (Acute Kidney Failure) do recover in time and no longer require dialysis, it is the ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) patients that require dialysis for the rest of their lives or until a kidney transplant is performed
My father has end stage liver failure and his kidneys aren't working properly, he just started dialysis . I was wondering what are his changes ? He isnot on a transplant list for his liver or kidneys and he's had end stage liver failure for several years now.
If the cause of health problem is severe for dialysis is severe infection was there a research to read what's inside the memory t- cell's information or if an autoimmune disease is the cause of dialysis was there a research to analyze the misreading and misdirecting of the immune system on the types of antigens or research on how to reverse genetic mutation, or if the cause of dialysis is severe inflammatory reaction can the information inside the mast cells be analyzed? Because knowing those things can direct the treatment or create new treatment approach.
this has been very educational, I think I would just accept my fate and surrender. but that's just me. I understand those who would choose Hemodialysis.
Was there a research about how the stem cell differentiation like for example how bone marrow stem cells or umbilical cord stem cells which differentiate to create cells for heart, brain, muscles, kidneys, liver, lungs etcetera a stem cell differentiation on organs in a controlled manner wherein a defective organ can be the focus of controlled stem cell differentiation for the treatment of that particular organ like for example if the nephrons, or glomerolus, or renal tubules were affected the stem cells will be focus to repair those organ parts and aside from that what if a new regenerative research will be undertaken focusing on how the body repair itself and push that regenerative capability of the body to the maximum.
Thank you for covering hemodialysis Dr. Frita. I had a kidney transplant 12 years ago. Prior to that I was on hemodialysis (I had the chest catheter) and then peritoneal dialysis. Do you work with patients on Home Hemodialysis?
@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 definitely far from true Gloria. I’m working on year 13 myself and I know many people who are 30 and 40 years post kidney transplant. One is a good friend of mine. Professional Rollerblader Paul Noworita. He’s currently 32 years post kidney transplant and doing great. I interviewed him on my RU-vid channel and we discuss this actual topic. Hope this helped.✌️

He had his kidney transplant about 20 years in and was needing another one, as he was back on dialysis. But I also seem to recall that he had other health issues going on as well?🤔 Anyways, great to know that you and others are doing really good!!😊
