Hi Ladies, I want to tell you about my day. I breakfasted alone, went for a walk alone and then went to look at my Grandchildren. I say look at because that's all I could do and it breaks my heart. No hugging or kissing. Then I switch on my computer and there is a video from you and for 45 minutes I have respite from my grief. I don't know if you realise it but what you do keeps many people sane and I cannot thank you enough x

Lol.. reminds me of the time a friend of ours asked to metal detect our property. Our house was built around 1889, so he was excited to detect it. A few days before he got there, my Dad took a hand full of silver dimes and a cultivating fork and salted a patch of ground in the side yard with them. Well, Robert dug them all up and after he left my Dad said best $10 he ever spent. (He had always wanted to put a vegetable garden in there but didn't have the time.)

Lovely, and nice to meet Will, tell him he is perfectly photogenic. The Ronson was similar to the type my dad used to have, interestingly he was a Sherman Tank driver in WW2 and drove his tank up Gold Beach on D Day and all the way to Bremerhaven in Germany. The soldiers used to call the Sherman a Ronson as they easily caught fire and Ronson's catch phrase in advertising was "Lights first time every time", so it was interesting in the advert you found that it depicted a Sherman type tank, bit sick. The Germans called them "Tommy Cookers"! Lovely couple of days exploring with you, the value of the finds is irrelevant, the search is everything and the additional filming of your home was so good. Loving your channel.

I found this on the internet on F.Moore: Improved Fastening Technology By the late 1800s, Birmingham was the center of all industrial enterprise. However, the production of cuff links and studs also occurred in the colonies, France, and the United States. Firms such as George West, Greaves' Patent, W. E. Riley and Sons, the French F. Moore, and the U.S.-based Baer and Wilde improved fastening technology and competed for a share of the lucrative accessory market. Accordingly, advertisements promoted function and style, longevity, and decorative appeal.

“I caught a bird!” My son cried; As in cupped hands it tried to hide; A lark I think, and very young, filled with flight, and songs unsung, With feathers new, and brightly formed, barely hiding soft chicks’ down. “Can we keep it?” Well, of course! Anything else would make it worse; How would it make the young lad feel, if our cat had a lark meal? (And maybe lessons could be learned; of wild things caught, and nature spurned, For things that are so very free, rarely crave security) But there are times a helping hand, stands ‘twixt an untimely end. So bring some water! Cool it down, Find a spot up off the ground; (All soft and calm with soothing sounds.) Let’s give it a chance to sing its’ song, the strength to fly when the wind blows long! We’ll do our best to set things right, and help our fallen friend take flight. And so we kept it for a day, watched it strengthen, fly away......... As for lessons that we learned? Larks must be free to be unharmed; And if you lend a hand to them, You must let them fly again. I hope ya’ll are doing well during these difficult times, looks interesting from my side of the pond, still, keep it up! May we all go back to flying about freely again real soon!

I'll tell you about the Mansion Floor polish, back in the The Day ('60's) we had a playroom with quarry-tiled floor and us kids on a Saturday morning had to polish it. 1st a layer of red Mansion wax would be applied - very messy, which was then left to dry. Once it was dry we put old shirts on our feet to take off that damp layer, then we'd put on worn-out jumpers over our shoes and had great fun skating all over the floor to bring up the shine. Actually the best fun to be had cleaning! You forgot to tell us about the carpet bowls, that was a cute find. I have a notion to get pocket change, and some of my odd coins from US, UK & Dubai and scatter them over the garden and paddocks - just to give future treasure hunters a cheap thrill and get them scratching their heads! The old toys are often worth something as a commentary on a moment in time, if nothing else - people certainly collect old Dinky, Corgi & Matchbox vehicles... Worth preserving. 😎😻🐶👍🦘🐾

I bet if you look up an old map, it would show the original buildings on the property. You could find the carriage house that way. With the fine cut stone entrance way, that house should have a carriage house of some sort. Too bad that wasn't a cauldron filled with gold.

Wow! What interesting things you are finding just in your own backyard. Lots of coins you've been finding. I enjoy watching your video with your animals and love the music.

My mom still uses Mentholatum every night. She uses it on her lips & around her nose. It's made of camphor & menthol and apparently helps her breathe.

Great work once again! So lovely that Will can help with a number of tasks! Favorite this time was the successful eradication of those evil rocks; stellar proof working together helps to work things out! Waving from the USA MItten!

You found some nice objects. Too bad the cauldron turned out to be a steering wheel....but well worth the digging to find out. Great video as always.....thanks for sharing!! Stay safe sending you all light and love

I am only just catching up on your channel and I love it! The steering wheel reminds me of the time my Uncle passed away and the farm was sold. My cousin couldn’t bear to sell her Land Rover and Uncle Doug’s Bedford truck so she buried them!!!!! Imagine a future owner metal detecting…..

Oh shoot 😕!! I was so hoping for you ladies that the iron hoop would be something ancient and historically linked to your farm. 🤷Oh well, it was still fun and entertaining to watch the excavation. Well done Will on "muscling 💪" those big rocks out for the ladies 👍. Always love seeing your animal babies 🐈🦚🦚🐔..even the "gremlin 🐦"😉. 🙏🕉️☮️ for safety and health 🤗🤭😘.

I am enjoying this older video especially that you are seeking “treasure” at home 🥰 I am a collector of bottles glass and pottery and love finding treasures in the forest behind our home -just the 30s and 40 s rubbish -not older- but exciting the same- I love repurposing and creating with my finds - interesting metal shapes I save for my ecodying - lots of fun-I have plans to make pendants with my blue willow finds - I used to work in stained glass so I am hauling out my grinder and cutter☺️
