In todays video I go over why I own 2 acura rsx's. I love the rsx platform and I touch on differences between the base model as well as the type s. With owning both models I can definitely say there are reasons to own both.

Welcome to the Illusive YT channel, my name is Nick. I own 2 Rsx's a Silver '06 Base 5 speed manual and a Red '05 Type S. My newest addition is a 2004 Honda CBR 600RR and will be making a few videos on it. The silver rsx is my daily while the red rsx is my project. I was gifted my silver rsx for my birthday 3 years ago from my brother. My red rsx I just bought from Florida in July of 2022. We drove 20 hours from Wisconsin to Tampa, Florida and the 20 hours back with the car. With that being said I store my red rsx for the Wisconsin winter to preserve its mint Florida condition. This channel will mainly be about the red rsx but during winter I wont be driving it.

Just reached 2 full years owning my 04 Type S. I've done A LOT of maintenance, but it's been worth it. These cars are insanely reliable. Just drove mine 560 miles one way to my new place and it didnt skip a beat. It feels super strong and healthy for its age, especially under VTEC

You picked the RSX out of the other good Honda products because it's the one you liked the most. I totally get it. I drove a CRX back in the early 90's on a prom date. It was her car, and it was awesome that I learned to drive stick before I ever drove an auto. That was a fun car. Like you, I love my Type-S. I'd love to have two of them, but my wife might divorce me. LOL.

When I claim the rsx to be my favorite It may be really subjective as I've only ever driven a 1st gen integra and older manual civic. I'm never driven or even been in a crx or s2k unfortunately. I hope one day to have the opportunity but for now I have nothing to base the rsx experience too. I just know I really love the rsx looks and feels wise. Trust me my mother was not happy finding out I was buying a 2nd one but after awhile they get over it😂 (or maybe not in your case😂)

@illusiversx True. I bought my wife a muscle car a couple of years ago, and she's mostly over it. Then I had Borla catback exhaust put on said muscle car. She's mostly over that. It really is her car, as we gave our daughter my wife's old car. I seldom ever drive my wife's car because one day I'll get her that suv or whatever and keep her current one. lol

I smiled when you said " other big named Hondas" because when we were using them fo college and pizza delivery we didn't think that. Much love man really appreciate the kind words. I feel like a lot of hondas are just frowned upon because of how slow they are. I think hondas are just that much cooler because there slow😂

I have mine, 02 Type-S blue. I still remember when they started to come out in the streets and I couldn’t drive because I was just a kid. Redline is at 7,800 RPM on the Type-S by the way. 🫢

I'm witcha, I have an Integra and an RSX and I go back and forth loving them both. One thing I'm over is the mechanical power steering, it seems like all of them have bad leaks. I repaired the RSX PS for now while I was swapping motors but I want an EPS from an Si fo sho.. Also the RSX has a little more creature comfort and is super easy to work on.

I agree my 3 favorite things about the rsx: there cheap to fix, easy to work on and fun as hell. I hear a lot about the power steering but throughout the years never had a leak on either car. Now that I say it it might happen. I know a lot of people switch to the ep3 electric ps rack

The base 5 speed is usually left alone in the groups I'm in. The base auto gets dumped on the most.

Clutch makes noise when in or out? In neutral... If when in, throw out bearing, if out input shaft bearing.

Everything for that is in the video for lowering the cbr. Should all be in the description. Just lowered the rear so should just be the rear lowering link and adjustable kickstand in the description

Do both of your RSX’s still have the stock air boxes in them? You’ll notice a pretty significant difference of the type s hitting Vtec when it has an intake.

Yes. Big changes coming for the type s soon tho so stay tuned. Never got a short ram because where they are routed on these cars they actually reduce performance

What are your thoughts on the new Integra Type S? Just curious since your such an RSX fan.

Personally I couldn't afford it lmao so I can't talk shit about it but if I were to speak truthfully on it, the base new integra is uter garbage that is just a tlx with different taillights. The type s is pretty sleek with the wider body and better performance. I guess only time will tell if they become as iconic as the rsx/integra in the coming years

I have a pretty decent job, but I still couldn’t justify paying for it at MSRP. There are things I like about it and things I really don’t. Interior looks really nice, performance of the car is great. Have no fucking clue why they made it a 4 door and TBH there isn’t a single thing that tells me it’s a descendant of an Integra, oh wait, it has a hatch lol. It has grown on me style wise though.

I definitely feel like all cars are just ridiculous rn I mean look at the type r. Too outrageous for me to even think about. Maybe in a decade or so but for now imma stick to my cheap ass hondas😂. I really don't like the fact they made it a 4 door either. Like I get there was a 1st gen 4 door integra but 4 doors doesn't scream integra to me. I definitely feel like it's going to grow on a lot of people in the future as the electric cars start rolling in more commonly

The 06 Acura RSX Type S came with 201 hp and the 05 Type S with 210 hp.

05 and 06 acura rsx type s makes exactly the same power. Same engine and same transmission. 02-04 rsx type s I believe you are referring to makes a little less than the 05-06 if that is what you are referring to

LOL Light and nimble take drive in a DC2R and you will realize how heavy and sloppy an rsx-s is. I have a Milano red S and a Phoenix Yellow itr the itr is the better performance orientated car lighter and more thowable threw corners. the rsx-s is a better street car but is heavy and has its comforts but sloppiness in the corners. Any questions about rsx-s platform just ask i will be posting videos myself in short time. I am long overdue to pass some education on of the chassis i own.
