Especially knowing that obsessing over strangers' stupidities and other things that seem like not a big deal to me are probably just normal for his type. That one always throws me for a loop, lol.
I'm an INTJ/INFJ blend and I think it has to do with the big picture. Family and close friends, quite possibly, are just our immediate sphere of influence, but we desire the grander scheme more. As I see it, that's why we go off on strangers, because they represent the "rest of society", and since we want to make impact there, that's why it tears us up so much more. I don't know if fellow INTJs do this, but for me, I get so much into myself, that when I go out and see a few strangers, it's like the slate is wiped clean, and somehow I can delude myself that society changed for the better if nothing bad happens with those strangers. But when something bad does happen, especially if it is callous and selfish as hell , it angers us more than might seem reasonable, partly because they're a bad reminder that nothing has improved, and, in fact, it's probably only got worse.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m an INFP female and I used to date an INTJ male last year after years of dating (I’m guessing) XXFPs. Being with him felt like everyday holiday. Just calm. He was rest and peace and serenity in a person, simply because he did the stuff I don’t like, I did the stuff he didn’t like, yet we had deep respect for each other. I missed him a lot and figured that one big problem was the fact that I struggled drawing boundaries. That way I felt kinda powerless or even manipulated in the end even tho I know today that everything he did and said was always to support me and find efficient, good solutions. Watching your videos makes me smile and giggle so much simply because I can relate to 99% of what you’re saying and it feels like you’re talking about my INTJ and me. I am an INTJ woman, for me I don't obsess over what strangers say or do. It doesn't affect me, i just don't care. But if it is some person close to me, it hurts a lot, for long.

Im a female intj myself and i have the same reaction as your husband 7:40 so i guess its an intj thing since we *need* to make the decision on our own, and if it seemed like he took your idea and made it his it's because he thought well deep in it that it actually felt like it was his lmaoo
I have never felt a woman hurt my ego. It is advice in general. I have thought about this for a long time, hearing that I may be wrong "from anyone" can bother me if I let it. I also HATE cleaning. Fixing things I am all over it. I will happily fix or change the dishwasher, but I hate loading it with dishes.
id marry only for love, but yeah takes a while to trust someone fully. im intj female. i like someone that is infp. my female infp can be a bit too emotional and discards my solutions and gets annoyed why i keep picking at trying to understand her logic. im not sure if male infp are the same? because he seems really calm , composed and level headed(though he can be a dweeb and space out), he is responsible and kind. i still have trust issues, but...should i expect my word being misunderstood and have a drama over hurting, despite i do try to be nice sounding, because my infp friend does this...and sometimes i am too drained to argue myself as i dont like conflict and end up apologizing all the time. i like being independent and have trouble with asking help. but i am very b&w loyal and honest when it comes to values and expect the same of the other. my self esteem is a bit low and i overshare and hate it and judge myself a lot. i like planning and only am affectionate to people i really feel close and comfortable with and thats like...1 person. i feel not so smart, but i like getting knowledge and skills to better myself and achieve financial stability and success so i can be on my own two feet without help. i hate feeling like a leech.(i have bad luck tho but still stubbornly trying). and another question: are deeps subjects a turn off for infp? my friend hates talking about space and such and life and etc. also i hate cleaning too, my mom has a cleaning obsession and it's dreadful. i also hate repetitive things, like in my job(that has bad hierarchy and rules), but i need the job so i'll endure until i can achieve my goals and get to where i want. my achievement goals are not only to better my situation, but to feel not worthless. if i dont achieve things i feel worthless. and the obsession part, i feel that. if i have a problem, i obsess over it, because i hate uncertainty and need to fix it(if i cant control it and fix it i get obsessively worried) and to get it over and done so i can move on. i can relate to what you say both on his side, but on yours as well. i also relate to the 5w4 enneagram type. also, is your intj husband also having strong opinions that alienate him from everyone, feeling misunderstood most times? :( i get this every time. (oversharing, i really hate doing this, but am also curious to know)
