I think 3 things are of utmost importance in a marriage Respect, friendship & acceptability In quran the word “ libas” is used for spouse It’s so beautifully explains what marriage is Libas is a covering: so spouse should feel protected being around you, spouse should cover up your faults, spouse should not make you vulnerable, spouse should feel pride wearing you, spouse should be a source of respect, should add colors to your life, libas is an essential part of ones life unless someone opts to live a barbaric life. Libas has so many beautiful facets to it. I love the definition of marriage as libas it completes you.
Alot of other things too are taught abt marriage do we know that all? Not only women but men should put an equal effort to make it work and keep the love alive! It's a biggest responsibility and can get you (Man or women) to hell or heaven. And yeah it should be started with mutual agreement, forced arranged marriages are not valid in Islam! Just like a marriage without a wali does not happen! Children should be put 1st in marriage mostly marriages break Bec of men wanting more and more while women is exhausted as she puts children 1st Bec of her more sacred connection with her kids while at that point men want a breaking out, in the most demanding part of marriage when real responsibilty of marriage strikes after initial fun and games.

Unfortunately in our society no one teach us about what is marriage and how we can take it in our future life. We are just interested what we wear in our wedding or what will be the venue and many more. I think its the timw where we have to tell our kids both male and female about it. We have to talk about it

Ppl in western countries too go through divorce. We should be better protected as Muslim women but unfortunately these days something is missing.

I recently started watching your channel and noticed you both nice towards each other and was surprised to hear this news but no one knows better than yourself the reason of this break up.You seems very positive and lively person and your husband a bit quite as compare to you which was not a big deal so I can say that there must be an extremely extremely genuine and valid reason for this sad incident occurred in your life. You are 100% correct. It grows every year or gets worst. I have been married for 22 years and it’s gotten better every single years. Yes, there were bumps but not any structural problems. Just a few adjustments.
What is marriage? Indeed a great question! Partnership - very true! I will add to that a business partnership can be broken down if one or more parties feel it no longer has any value to them. However, you may still retain a relationship with the other parties on a more human level. In marriage - this partnership is intertwined with emotions, love, hate, intimacy, offspring, etc. When getting into a marriage - it actually requires a FAR GREATER commitment to each other first than a business relationship. The WHOLE beauty of a marriage is that you share something that no one else does with the other individual! My feelings of marriage are that two people individually coming together becoming stronger as a pair than apart. So, 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2 - but actually equals more - so long as both partners put in the effort. More the effort - the better the outcome! What I see is that in marriages that have ended - it's usually (A) 1 person doing all the work or (B) financial problems. Lastly - marriage is not about - the husband was at fault or the wife was at fault. I feel culturally - people criticize the opposite gender without knowing the true and complete facts. Please don't do that - there are great men / husbands and women / wives! Keep this going - I'm sure in due course we will hear more of your wisdom!
Wht i understand . marriage is a name of compromise from both sides It is not only women has to compromise n respect ur spouse. Husband n wif they both has to compromise . i think compromise is the only thing which can cannot broke the marriage n respect is also very important
@@sehrishrehan5657 Thanks for the insights - I actually disagree as I feel a compromise between two people is taking something away or downgrading (one or both people). Marriage is actually something that is better than not being married provided both individuals work on the marriage itself. If they have the common goal of working on the marriage - they will be assured a better outcome of it. Life on its own is tough - but doing it with a partner makes the journey more easier - however this is something they both need to understand. Love, wishes, and prayers to all of you.

Hi my purpose of marriage are sharing and caring COMMUNICATING and FORGIVE AND FORGET and supporting each other working together with situations comes in life and yes I agree every year two people build up positive relationship and this make it stronger if the foundation of marriage is strong nothing can stop their marriage. Marriage is equal partnership. When one person carries all the weight marriage clapses. But I do strongly believe in trust. There is no happy marriage without trust. It is different though. Culture plays a big role in fail marriages, religion does,money does.there is not one thing. But the bottom line is ....You don't have to stay in marriage if you are not happy. Suffering for rest of your life is not a good choice. We need to get rid of divorce stigma.

Replying to your question: for me marriage is Understanding of how to fulfill eachothers lackings and giving moral support. Respecting eachother space and communicating if there are misunderstandings or disagreements.

I agree Communication is the key! Emotional understanding is the most important thing too. I also crave for these 2 in my marriage and sometimes feel that i can't go long in future without it 😔 but then a thought come that what if the next one is also the same or worst?! Seriously Farrah I got married at the age of 18... just for the marriage without any explanation or purpose and now im 31 n going through divorce ...I have 3 kids ma sha Allah ... thats the only happiness I got from this marriage...otherwise ive been tortured emotionally for no reason
Stay strong and all the best for your future life. No parent should put 18yr old for marriage and allow to ruin your beautiful yrs and lèave you with more responsibility. A girl should be allowed to grow and know herself and life 1st before being put in such verneable and demanding relationship. In our culture men are not taught to be supportive and compromising like women do. They are taught control and an 18 yr old don't know how to deal with all this crap. It's such a life shock that makes marriage a sentence for women then a beautiful moment.

Every one needs it from both sides equally but why every one forget about this equality in their own relationship if you ask something from other you must need to see if you are giving the same or not . Some don't want to grow and it's exhausting! Usually these kinds will drag you down along with them. They mentally break you so you die inside then fall back , they grab you and encage you in this emotional backmailing jail that you get confused and you can't escape. Real honest friends are as imp and conversation outside of marriage with good intention and sincere ppl is as imp to let you know where marriage is going wrong as Bec of these confused emotions you feel weak and incapable to trust your own instints.

It also depends on each person’s relationship with their parents and the kind of attachment style he or she had in their childhood.
A successful marriage is based on a mutual respect, acceptability and trust . Respect is something one has to earn , trust is something one has to gain these two will end up in acceptability and finally will turn into a strong friendship.

That's why one should know each other before marriage and find the one most compatable with you. And one shoukd be willing and open to adapt good from partner and both mould themselves for their partners and make a great life together. Make an effort for happy life. I would say, marriage is not based on rules n regulations, it's that type of pure relationship, where you learn not to live for your own self but for the whole family, where beautiful relations add on with times, as for in laws, n children... Where sincerity, understanding, respect n above all love play the most important role in your life, i would add here self-respect is too much important, but devotion n selflessness for your loved ones is the key to build the healthy n strong relationship. Being an introvert myself, i know how hard it is to express, it's just the way we are programmed i guess, and i haaate it if someone pushes me , so yeah that's where you accept the other person for who they are, we can't help it. I am glad my husband doesn't push me to be more expressive and accepts me the way iam although he is a complete extrovert. Never push an introvert to be expressive.
This is so true Fatima. Introvert people may actually be emotionally more sensitive and balanced as their locus of control is inside. The stereotypes of people who can communicate to be perceived capable and nice is strange. An intensively extrovert person can also be an equally great emotional burden for others without realising. They also should tone themselves t adjust t others.

When you carry a child, give birth it's more often your natural biological instincts kick in. Mother's walk through fire to protect their offspring.
