Why do people accept and obey laws? Professor Hadley Arkes explains that everyone has an innate sense of what is naturally wrong or right, as evidenced by everyday activities and judgments. People recognize that positive laws that are based on these natural law principles are worthy of respect and obedience.
Hadley Arkes is the Founder and Director of the James Wilson Institute on Natural Rights and the American Founding. He is Professor Emeritus of Jurisprudence at Amherst College. Professor Arkes is the author of several books and hundreds of articles.

Natural Law is absolute. Common Law is the humble attempt of we the people to see the administration of justice when wrongs need to be righted. Admiralty maritime law is policies of corporation that does not apply to we the people. Corporations make policies, not Law. ''Gouvernement'' is corporation [corporate agglomeration] the men and women acting as employees for those have no more jurisdiction over we the people then Mc Donald. Gouvernement IS slavery.

Policy is for corporation. LAW is for We The People. It really is that simple. I've often wondered though, does We The People in the constitution apply only to those swear the oath? or in other words sign the contract? Gonna see what a cursory web search brings back. I dno if it was that I was raised by video games or I'm an aries or James Bond was my childhood hero, but I just assumed everyone else wanted freedom and to fight for the truth and what's right. After 30+ years on this planet I've learned that the planet really is in the hands of the wicked one and things are the way they are because people intend them to be that way for the most part. Not that its all bad of course, but some shit we do is really fucked up. I feel like a lot of us are a lot more complicit than we'd like to admit.

A law is an instruction on how to apply a principle (a musical key) that makes humans harmonize with eachother and nature. In short, laws limit disharmony.

Currently, the respect for "law" is enforced through fear of punishment. One should bebrought into respecting "law" by reciprocity. Give what you like to get That way, we would need a lot less law enforcement agencies..

Can’t find “ligare” in the etymology of law... internet says it comes from from Old Norse *lagu "law," collective plural of lag "layer, measure, stroke," literally "something laid down, that which is fixed or set" from Proto-Germanic *lagam "put, lay," from PIE root *legh- "to lie, lay" (from PIE root *legh- "to lie down, lay"). Identical with lay (n.2) as "that which is set or established."
