If there are any parents reading this, I just wanted to let you know that to stop your children from accessing this website is very hard and they will find ways around it. It’s better to educate them about the dangers so that they won’t want to visit the website in the first place (this is coming from a teenager btw)
i dont like the idea of my 13 yr old daugher getting set up to video chat with aome random 45 yr old man. the whole website needs to be abolished or age monitored.
You need to monitor 100% of what your child does online. My sons say" don't you trust me Dad " my answer is always "HELL NO". I was 13 once and times may change but kids don't!!!
@@ctdvargas that is so easy to say. You can delete your kids profile. They will just find a way to create a new one again and again. Like the other poster said, times may change but kids don't. Where there is a will, thee is a way.
I just went on to see what it was about. I see it on Tik Tok and my kids have mentioned it. Not that they have gone on it, but they know of it. So the first person who I'm talking to is a little boy. He's probably about 12-14. My topic was a spiritual awakening. Clearly, the intention isn't a factor. So this kid is on here, and either he or someone else is immediately trying to pull up my IP address. I had seen videos before where this happened to another adult, with the same scenario as mine. Since I'm on hotel wifi so I know he'll get that IP address. He asks me if I live in a place where the hotel is, and I tell him now. Are you pulling up my IP address? He then says something to someone else either in his headset or behind him in another room, and he asks if I'm with the FBI? I make a face like, "gotcha!" and he quickly gets offline. So, if you do want to do this, don't do it from your home. If you do, use a VPN. Don't let your kids on there. I couldn't believe the first person I got was a kid. I even asked if he talks to adults often. He was like, yeah, sometimes.
Sure is, and my 8 year old daughter just told me her friend pulled that site up @ their sleepover the other nite. The friend is a cops daughter. Real smart. At least I'm teaching my kid right!!!
The thing about IP addresses now is most routers flush them fairly often and every time you restart your router you get a new one, also most IP address that are assigned from you are from the area where your ISP is from or similar areas. When ever windows tries to give me my local weather it is for a place 200 miles away lol. However there are people with static IPs that are traceable.

Omegle is alright, i just wish people knew how to be nice. People show their true colors a lot when they are with a group of friends or just straight up cocky in general. I have anxiety, and i kind of regret installing omegle😔😔 I'm pathetic.
while I'd agree with this... well, i'd agree for a different reason. A friend of mine who was until this pandemic a chef is 25... I'm 53... I don't find anything weird in that, we are good buddies and we share lots of interests. However I can see where this website would become an absolute magnet for folks that should be monitored at least if not outright locked up. Having said that its a good idea in principle... if for example all videos and text were monitored by an AI or something. But as its stands there are too many nefarious characters in this world and all of them will home in on this. So the volume of people that are just 'out there' will simply be higher on a magnet website like this. That said, well just use a VPN and don't give out private details about yourself. More easily said than done with kids though.

It has been my dream but not only did i NOT start back then when I clearly could have and would have probably been a super big channel and NOT bc of me but bc of how different the platform was and bc there were not many youtubers on there in fact it was simply a "Sharing' platform where you could just upload your videos and if you wanted to share them with family and friends. I got a chat request on my Skype yesterday I sent a text turns out this guy was given my Skype name by a German girl. I told him my picture is not her obviously. He said he only saw her body. i was doing video today was my 1st day on omegle, there were only 10,11 yr girls. I told them you kids should not be here because you know the omegle video, kids told be "bitch fuck you". I just write wow good manners. they stop video. I am in shock how many under age kids were there, what this web doing to stop kids to even use it nothing, and i can bet their parents don't even know what kids are doing on this web.

If you're that worried about your kid getting hit on by a 40 something yr old man then oh I don,t know, restrict their internet access?? C'mon parents. Get it together. Lets not blame a website. Lets blame each other for being neglectful and ignorant. :)
First of all this man did not say that his kids internet is not restricted and didnt say that his kids are having problems with this website. He also did not say this was an evil website but that lots of kids are using it and it has high risk for predators. This video worked exactly the way it should for me I clicked the link because I seen this website on my daughter's computer and she's been talking to random men and women on the website. Because she is 16 in a young woman I'm not going to restrict your internet she is completely educated on all of the risks of the world and is a very humble and intelligent girl. He made a very nasty and honestly unwarranted comment. Because I had never heard of this website I wanted to know exactly what it is used for and what people think about it so that way I am aware of what my kids are up to in the risks involving it. Obviously any parent is not going to let their 10 or 12 year old daughter talk to random men on the internet and most likely will restrict their internet up to a certain age. I listen to this man's video a second time after reading your comment maybe you should too cuz he was extremely respectful and did not say this website is evil or responsible for wrongdoing he is saying that there is a real problem of child Predators out there and they are constantly finding new ways to find victims. Everything can access you IP man. Microsoft is NOTORIOUS for gathering information! Right up there with Google! Want to hide your true IP address? Get a VPN (Virtual Private Network) preferably one that encrypts your traffic so that not only can your outbound and inbound signals not be prodded into by “hackers” but the destination of that info only reaches your VPN provider, which should be the only PRIVACY POLICY you should ever *read in full* and your desired destination!
