I still hate that Sony said they don't have enough IP's and that's the reason why they're constantly doing remakes and remasters, even though they have so many IP's under their belt.
They don't have Ips that they have not "finished". They would terminate horizon, god of war and the last of us if any of their live services actually worked and they didn't had to buy bungie to ruin theirs.
FYI: Bloodborne is successfully being emulated and progress has been made in such a short amount of time its astonishing. It won't be a PlayStation exclusive soon enough
@@ericbaker8781 He typed, then proceeded to press enter, a glimmer of pride in his eye having defended his favorite multi billion dollar company. "That'll show him! my overpriced brick will be a smart investment knowing PC will surely NEVER be able to emulate my handful of games which are mostly just remasters of old shit"
@@VualDaZartlook, that guy is pretty dumb but he has a point. i did download the emulated version but its still a long way from being ported 100%. still hoping it gets released as i dont have a ps4😅
I completely agree. Sony is contributing to a larger industry-wide issue where far too much time and money are being invested into projects, resulting in a platform with very few exclusives and even fewer are worthwhile. You can’t sustain a studio when they’re banking their entire existence on one or maybe two releases per console generation. Best case scenario you have Sucker Punch with the Ghost franchise, and worst case you end up with Concord. The triple-a games industry is practically cannibalizing themselves at this point, but I digress. Great video! Looking forward to what you do next!
Sony has a BOATLOAD of beloved IPs they could easily revive with "minimal" budget. But instead they threw 400(!) million at Concorde, hoping that it turns into a cash cow....
The heads of Sony have recently said that they don't have many original IPs. I think they're just completely ignoring some of their best games, tbh. Sure, Crash and Spyro are owned by Activision, but they still have so many from the ps3/psvita era
@@dogdog357 Or PS2 and PS1. Like I said: they have a boatload of IPs and many of them are still beloved to this day. Take Jak and Daxter for an example: the fans got so desperate that they wrote a decompiler for the PS2 game, by analyzing the machine code and the manual for the propietary programming language Naughty Dog invented for the game and then ported it as a native PC game. But hey, I guess they dont have any beloved IPs...
Or Parappa, or Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Rachet and Clank, or even freakin PS All Stars, or Little Big Planet! I could go on, but my point has been made.
In a different youtube video I had a 1 hour argument in the comment section with a guy saying disc are S**T and that we are destroying gaming. They made gaming on the original ps1 then he said that there useless. They ain't useless because the media is always there unlike digital when games get delisted it's gone forever. I said to the guy if digital is so good then sell your games. He said I can't. He fell for my trap I said why not?. He said there digital I can't re sell them. If I have a disc that's worth 3x then a new ps5 game the value keeps going up this is why players should buy disc my eyepet games is $60 and higher factory sealed
I don't play consoles much these days, I'm almost always on my Switch. But, one thing keeping me from upgrading to PS5 is that it's still really expensive. I thought for sure that, 4 years later, this console would've been closer to 300. Not that I'm super eager to buy it. I do want to play FF7, because I love the game. But I still need to play Yuffie's DLC before jumping into Rebirth. But that's all that really grabs me. There might be one or two other games (I do enjoy the Ratchet and Clank games. Not enough to buy a console but it'll definitely be on the list of games I get once I get a 5)
Im still sad what they did to sackboy yesterday it just shows that they don't care about their long time fans putting out Bad games and then saying "they have no IPs" when they have more than 15+ franchises to make games and i feel it's good to focus on new things but the ps5 library has been very lackluster with mostly ps4 remasters of games that don't need it or a Game nobody cares the only good thing(for me atleast)in the ps5 is the new Astrobot Game but that isnt enough to make me buy a ps5 also when they do make a good Game its also ported to PC and that is a good thing because more people can play those games but it makes even less sense to play on a ps5 since most games are on PC too and sometimes are even better than the ps5 version
I only got my regular PS5 11 months ago. The PS5pro is such a stupid "upgrade" I'm content with the console I already have. Also, Astro Bot is my pick for game of the year.
The PS5 PRO is very misunderstood because the only games it benefits are ones tailor made to the PS5, and those games are so big that they HAVE to be digitally downloaded. Disks simply can't hold the space needed. There is no reason to buy a ps5 pro if you're primarily going to be playing your ps4 library since it's overkill. The PS5 Pro is a niche product for a niche market. Sony learned from the PS3/PS4 generations and allow consumers to upgrade their storage natively nowadays to avoid the issues of the previous generations, yet, I hear nobody acknowledge this when discussing the PS5 compared to the competition.
Um... No? A blu ray disc can hold up to 50 gigs. Compress that and you can hold up to like say, 75 gigs easy. You can also do a dual layer disc to hold even more data or ship multiple discs. Your logic does not justify them cutting the disc drive from the "upgrade" of a console that came with a disc drive by default. :/
It’s going to be entertaining seeing Microsoft jump ship from the console market because then Sony will continue to get more and more anti-consumer once there’s no competition (not that Xbox was competing anyways. They haven’t been good since the 360. Also, Nintendo’s doing their own thing that doesn’t really impact Sony). As a PC player this won’t impact me, and I can laugh hysterically as the hardcore Sony fanboys actually get their wish for PlayStation to become a monopoly. If you don’t want to suffer that join us on PC. Sony and Microsoft are porting their games to PC, and we can emulate the super majority of their libraries.
I used to be the biggest Playstation fanboy around the PS2-Early PS3 Era but around the start of PS4, I just don't see why I should have a console over a PC? For all of Nintendo's problems, at least wacky shit like the Wii U, 3DS and Switch have some uniqueness to it compared to modern Xbox and PS which may as well just be a PC for your TV.
The way I look at this is like I do woth cars: new cars are expensive, boring and sometimes even plain shit, so I stick to old ones because they’re plentiful, cheap and lots of fun. There’s a miriad of great old games I haven’t played, and maybe too much for a whole lifetime to be able to play. So maybe it’s not lost, plus some cool games have come out since, alan wake 2 looks awesome and I’ve heard that silent hill 2 remake is actually good! It’s grade A copium but it’s the best I can do.
It’s gotten to a point where it went from picking the best console for the generation to picking the least shit one since the switch is 7 years old, series x and s barely getting exclusives, and the PS5 barely has any exclusives
"I want shorter games with worse graphics by people who are payed more to work less and I am NOT kidding" Honestly starting to see things from their perspective
Honestly. I prefer the PS4 Versions of all of these re-releases. The Graphics are not as good but they have exploits the new versions don't. Like I prefer the PS4 version of Fallout 4 because of the infinant money Glitch. I can raid all the Diamond city shops and buy the resources I need to build higj quality power armor and weapons early in the game saving me a ton of time farming resoures. That is just one example.
I play on Xbox and let me tell you the moment they announce a remaster for the infamous trilogy or a new game for it. Then i am fucking crashing through the wall to buy a PS5 PRO
That starfield rant was completely justified. Have you fucking played that shit? And Microsoft even gave them another year just to bug fix that shit I spend 100 bucks on that shit ye im mad
Immediately the first thought is games in lieu of the PS5 pro and mf treats the PS5 pro like it’s a PS6 (“remastering games for it” bro it’s the same architecture as the regular PS5; it is the iPhone # pro of iPhones). Like throw shade all you want but you mfs keep on with this idea that it’s the PS6 without saying it Also the biggest problem with Sonys position is not Xbox not competing it’s that they’re trying to act like they have Xbox money and resources while not having that. Xbox ends up being the inverse of that but of course not because they can’t compete but rather they’re trying to offer up services like game pass at a pretty big loss making any moves in the game production space mean either they’re impossibly successful or they cut 50% or eliminate the company that produced said game(s) and if you can’t tell by “impossibly successful” here I’ll give you a hint, it’s not working
1:38 this just you reeling at the seems to add more to your 4 :28 ah video. Dont you think your being a bit too critical to diss foamstars along with true failures like concord? You tick me as a guy who would upload a video on cancelled sqaure service games, yet foamstats aint doing too bad. What was bad with it was not starting free and multiplat. Going free was them correcting arrogant course, not because they're going on a downward course. But its just funny how foamstar slander never say anything bout the game just perception talk like splatoon wasnt just like that on wii u days now look at it. Nintendos pocket sweeper of the bunch Also nice blaming Xbox for Sony's arrogance......same arrogance that probably made foam exclusive
I agree that there's not as many games as there should be but to say there's one game is objectively false. GoW Ragnarok, Returnal, Stellar Blade, Spiderman 2, Deathloop, FF7 Rebirth, Demon's Souls remake, Rise of Ronin, Silent Hill 2 remake, Final Fantasy 16, Helldivers 2. That's a solid lineup of well crafted games.
