My grandmother of all people owned a copy of this game the orginal American release of siren and being the only game localized in the west. My cousin and I stole the game from under her nose only for the sightjacking mechanic and aufio design alone trapping me crying from the policeman in the room with the truck keys for LITERAL YEARS
For anyone having jittering issues - it is tied to CPU uptime (don't ask why, just make sure to reboot your pc if you want to play it, it becomes unplayable if it goes 3+ days). Very nice and concise coverage of this "hidden gem". And thanks for a shoutout! Also now I finally have seen how black textures, that people ask me about, look like. Sadly didn't really have access to a pc where this issue was present to try and pinpoint solution :(
Ugh. "Then there's Enemy Territory" BRO. You don't even know about Return to Castle Wolfenstein???? It's THE BEST FUCKING ONE. Fucking NOOOOOOOOB. Arg. You literally suck at life.
I downloaded this game for free a few days ago from a link on Google, about 6GB. It is brilliant and better than most of Bethesda’s efforts in my opinion 😊
Me and my GF played through Siren 1 and 2 on PS2 recently after I told her about it. This game was so scary to me as a kid, and I have no clue how I beat it back then. But youre right, its a super memorable game. Its a shame it never really took off, they had really unique ideas.
it's a 2007 game and it's not crap at all, the background sounds are good, they're really bad sometimes, but the background is very good. the fact that a lot of people made fun of the game in the past is still outrageous, here finally the theme was not like in most games that we only fought against the Germans or Afghan terrorists, but against the Russians as the Soviet Union. the game's graphics are still up to date on some level. It's good. It has some bugs, but they're not so bad that the game is bad. about the sounds, an old Hungarian videographer made an improved sound package for it and thus made this game even better. I understand that not everyone can like this game, but to make it worst, it's already a level above, I last played it 2 years ago, I had no problems, it couldn't keep the resolution at 60fps, unfortunately I also encountered a flickering error, but a quick save and the game restarted help
If the developer(s)/publisher(s) stop trying to appeal to a "modern audience" that don't exist or support these games. Odd certain aspects of the game remind me of shadows of the damned.
Great video, 14:06 so siren blood curse is already like a remake but is more like a american adaptation of the first game firom same series forbidden siren , this series has 3 games siren 1 and 2 for the ps2 and siren bloodcurse all of them made by japan studios, 1 movie forbiddem siren and some manga and light novels series. Siren blood curse is for siren 1 such as the ring is for ringu or the grudge is for ju on)
It's a very good game, and it definitely did not deserve all the negativity it received. Bethesda may try to erase it, but those of us that remember it will be around for quite some time... and who knows, maybe some day it will return to official distribution. I definitely do not agree with your so-called review.
you know after beating this finally, I'm really surprised watching so many videos that people hated The Ritual. I think you're the only guy I've heard mention that you loved it. I sure did, it was a great use of a different sense of gaming before the fights.
The chapter where Bella is stuck in a zombie family's home is one I'll never forget. It's all high anxiety throughout, but reveals another wholesome dimension about the zombies themselves.
bethesda as publisher : this game is not on par with our quality standard let's either send it to oblivion or don't pay the dev royalty bethesda as developer : it just works
i swear to the molested corpse of whatever dead god out there youtube, let me comment cool it worked. cant even comment in this cesspit of a site. also good video, good shit bro.
I like how there's this tiny subgenre of games from 2009 to who knows, where it's grungy asf, snd you get cook powers. In this trilogy are Wolfenstein (2009}, Singularity, snd Bulletstorn
Clock Tower series peaks with very first one on SNES, that one is surprisingly open to exploration while having endings tied to what order you do. It is tense, pretty beautiful and manages to be pretty coherent.
This is the best Wolfenstein of them all. Sure TNO and TOB are nicer, but there is something I like about mystical games that RtCW and Wolf (2009) have and are good with.
