Looks awesome! Is it best to have a separate laptop to run Serato (what I use) and Sound Switch? Or is it preference?

The simplest way is to run both SoundSwitch and Serato on the same laptop but you can also run SoundSwitch on a seperate machine. Like you say it depends on your preference. Drop us a line at support@soundswitch.com if you have any further questions.

opposed to the regular dongle is the micro version more cpu hungry?

Hi Don, it is less CPU hungry than the original unit.
