Okay, I thought this would be bit more plug & play and couldn't figure it out in my club last night. This video is exactly what I needed, straight to the point and super easy to follow. Not fully wrapping my head around why there's different MIDI mappings depending on what faders you're using, maybe I just need to mess with it to understand, but this is going to get me up and running tonight and that's all that really matters. I can't freaking wait! Thank you!
This is super helpful! I can‘t afford a Prime 4 (yet) but thanks to Serato and Soundswitch working together, I can use my Roland Dj-808 for now, thanks 👏❤️
Nice video team, I have a scenario, I have a Reloop Mixon 8, running Serato, and I have an iPad running dj pro ai as a live backup on the outer channels in case the MacBook running Serato dies, can the soundswitch software still have the four channels working off the up faders
It appears that as soon as Phase DJ connects, my actual mixer (DJM S7) disappears from the MIDI Controllers sidebar and is replaced by "Phase" and Soundswitch stops working properly. Like if I run Serato in Internal mode, everything does like it's supposed to, but as soon as the Phase box is plugged in, SoundSwitch stops seeing my mixer and therefore stops working. I can't seem to find any videos or articles where anyone else has this issue, HELP!
I'm gonna buy it really soon.. how do I connect t hardware? Do I need to get a usb splitter cause I used both usb c on the laptop . Or do I need another mac just for the lights . As you know serato is getting a bit heavy on macs now .. don't wanna affect performances of my djing .. . Video on how to setup using 1 laptop and 2 laptops please
Hi. I purchased a SAUNDSWITCH. My disco effects are moving heads that I hang upside down on the lighting traverse. The effects are hanging above me and I want them to shine only in front of me (180 degrees) automatically to the beat of the music (SERATO DJ). Behind me is a wall that is not meant to be illuminated. Can it be set somehow? Do you have a video explaining how to do this?
does the ss dongle need to be plugged in to get ss to show up as a remote? trying to set up a new lappy with the dongle packed in my booth, and i loath to unload the van
The hardware you use is not important. SoundSwitch connects with the DJ software. You can use any DJ hardware as long as its supported by: Serato DJ Virtual DJ Engine OS If you are using Rekordbox DJ, you cannot use SoundSwitch.
Hope to get some help here: I am trying to connect the SoundSwitch to my Serato DJ Pro, but whenever I try to see it in my remotes, I get the error-message: "Error: Connection to MIDI-Device failed". That is all. Can anyone help?
ok either i am missing a big step or something. I cannont get my lights to connect to serato or Virtual DJ. I am a windows user and I have tried both. Both will not work. Please help
