I think the reason your patients are so satisfied is because you are thoughtful. You are patient and explain what and why you are doing something. I'm sure there is more, but I can't think of it at the moment.😊

Irrigation was what I had as a child. I know that I need to have my ears checked as an adult. It is probably a huge part of my hearing loss as an adult. I don't know why my Mom stopped taking me unless it was because the doctor retired. He was awesome and I did so well with him, but I have had so much trouble since. I wish my mom would have continued taking me. I didn't even think about it until I started watching your videos. I have so much trouble with hearing and I have the wax bouncing around in my ears. I fully admit that when the ears started itching I put cotton swabs in my ears I was a very bad girl! LOL!!! I remember being told as a child that my ear canals did a weird turn or something like that. This should have been a life long habit for me to go to a Ear Nose Throat doctor to have my ears checked for plugs as the doctor called them. That was the one doctor's visit I never minded. It was soothing with the irrigation. I wonder now how I would feel about it, if it was suction. I don't think I would have a big problem, but I do wonder.

I worked years ago as an ENT surgeons rooms nurse, he was absolutely nuts, he threw a container of sugar with 1 fleck of coffee granules right across the waiting room full of waiting patients, and he always ran 2hours late on every consultation, I lasted 4months

How do you dispose of the wax ? What if it's infected.

Talking about what you are doing gives the patient a sense of participation in their own treatment which probably brings them back.
