You mean cheaper, same performance if not better and way more potential because it ain't locked down. The s650 is the worst coyote to have for this reason. People just gotta have the newest car though. Once people realize tuning isn't coming outside of Ford approved tunes they'll finally smarten up.
@midnight347 no. Once people start realizing that cars built for sport car purposes aren't always bought for that reason. They'll understand the balance for the looks comfort and speed combined to make their decision. S650 maybe locked, but we still can upgrade it physically outside of turning.
True brother coming from a previous s550 owner . However after 5k miles of daily driving the s650 is just better . Don’t get me wrong s550 is good but coming from a previous owner it doesn’t feel any better than a s650
Just recommending, but the Mach 1 is really a comparison for an actual Performance Pack S650. This is not a performance pack s650, its just a regular s650. Those wheels are just an option if you get a premium. This is just a base premium, with no active exhaust.

It’s a 401a package it’s not a “base” they have a huge gap in between the display. They are missing other options as well. This car has adaptive cruise control. But my car isn’t even the nicest one out there. It was one of the first s650 out there that arrived at the dealership.

With my Kooks headers and tune I'll take my 2022 Mach 1 all day every day. GT is really nice too. My 2017 V6 with turbo will gap either the 650 or 550 though and was only $10,000 so in comparison I like the 2017 V6 turbo charged.
There doesn't seem to be enough changes with the S650 for me to want one over an S550 and the things they did change I don't really like. If I had to choose between the 650 and 550 I'd take a Terminator Cobra lol
There is no comparison here. Watching this video is a waste. The S550 (Mach 1 in this video) is a track car while the S650 (GT in this video) is a daily driver. You're either searching for a daily, or a track. If you're going to the track, you already know you need the Mach 1 and nothing in this video matters. If you want a daily driver, the GT is for you and the same logic applies. Are you in the market for a daily driver or a track car? That's what should've been discussed in the video. Instead, these guys are wasting your time pretending these cars are comparable when they're not.Watching this video is a waste.
I don’t agree at all with your take, there is no waste when both cars are around the same money (GT $55K and Mach 1 $58K) I’ve seen loaded up GTs with the performance package going over $60K just like Mach 1s with the handling package. This video is for information and entertainment at the same time. How ever I do agree with your take on the GT being more suited for street drive and the Mach 1 geared more for track use, but that being said both cars could do both, The Mach 1 is a great daily driver and the GT with the right mods could be a track weapon.
The Mach is better all the way around and has alot more potential. It has nothing to do with needing a track car or daily. A Mach can be a daily just as well as an s650. There is nothing the s650 does the Mach can't. But there are things the Mach does the s650 can't. Like you can actually get a real tune and not Ford approved bs.
Your statement about the 650 performance pack having an opening on the passenger side for an oil cooler is incorrect. It does not open up on the performance pack s650 . The only s650 with coolers on two sides is the DarkHorse. Because it’s just a rebadged mach 1.
The Performance package in the GT does include an extra oil cooler just like the Mach 1 and dark horse. What it doesn’t include is a transmission cooler and a rear differential cooler. I agree the new DH is a rebadged Mach 1 with updates.
@@TheMGChannel yeah that’s what I’m saying it has an oil cooler but it’s on the driver side not on the passenger side where you pointed out in the video. What’s there is the washer fluid reservoir on both standard and performance package models. Great video btw!
All this talk from the Mustang haters about buying a pre-owned S550 Mustang. Stop talking and buy one. Pay those higher interest rates charged for used car while hoping those miles didn't come a quarter mile at a time and wonder how many performance parts were removed by the previous owner before trading it for a new S650 Mustang or they sold it because they couldn't afford the payments and needed to move back in with their parents. How many check the Carfax when shopping a used performance car. You might be surprised. Remember. Unless CPO which cost more to purchase or buying an extended warranty which doesn't always take care of the full repair costs. Your responsible for all repairs. After i purchase my Dark Horse. I hope Ford drops the Mustang and brings back a redesigned Fusion including the Sport with a larger engine than the previous model because after my new Mustang. I need a new sedan. Ford dropped the Fusion that was selling around three times more copies than the S550. Like the Camaro if it doesn't sell. It's discontinued

Dark horse is the biggest overpriced underperformed turd ever. A gt350 is a far better car for less money lol. The dark horse is the worst Ford performance mustang they've ever made imo. The s650 is the most lazy redesign they've ever done.
Dont even need to watch to know the mach 1 is superior to the base gt s650. If the darkhorse was in the same price range as an s550 mach 1 then it would be a toss up.
