I remember grinding for the recon helmet back in the day. Doing that firefight crap on heroic to the third set was annoying. I felt so much accomplishment earning it. When they made recon free for everyone it killed me inside. The nostalgia of seeing someone in halo 3 multiplayer with recon. Everyone would freak out
Helioskrill. THE ONLY ARMOUR made by Elites, a GREAT achievement (Legend) needed to get it, but most importantly, IT LOOKS KINDA LIKE THE ARBITER 'Nuff said
Here’s mine: 1: Mark V (Halo: Reach) 2: Hayabusa (Halo 3) 3: ODST (Halo 3 and Reach) 4: EOD (Halo 3) 5: Recruit (Halo 4) [yea, i’m being serious) Also, you are referring to Haunted Pilot with your No. 2
yes finally someone realises how awesome operator was in reach, that was my helmet for the longest time until i got Eva C I just though it looked awesome, especically with the headlight atachment.
@@Venian_the_wanderer Always hoping for Helljumper, i truely enjoy ODSTs lore wise, and being a spartan and ODST combo just sounds to badass to pass up
My favorite is the EOD In 2012, whenever I got Halo: Reach on the Xbox 360, I never knew the concept of "grinding", so I used the EOD Helmet, which it was the helmet I would use to this day.
The new artistic iteration of the Scout helmet in recent Halo games is quite nice, honestly. Despite the distaste for Palmer, her armor is visually appealing, especially the white armor contrasting with black undersuit, thereby highlighting each individual piece of armor coherently complimenting each other. Anyway, I digress, as this video is about helmets and not armor lol.
My favorite helmet is the Full kitted Halo Reach EOD helmet. It looked solid and I thought it made sense because I would go on little grenade frenzies when I played. (Explosive Ordinance Disposal...ish), but my worst pick is the Photos helmet.😐. See you in the next video.
I love the EOD the "storm trooper" there is something about it I've used it from Halo 3 to 5 in reach I would have so much good armor but I had the cheap EOD because it's special I don't know why but it is!
I remember when Halo 3 first came out, me and my other 14-year-old friends all thought unlocking Hayabusa meant you were good. "Give me the sniper! I have Hayabusa!!" _(It made sense to us at the time, okay?)_
6:33 Actually I still have and like my ODST Spartan, he looks like a ODST but has multiple upgrades like the tac-pad and other stuff, I like to think of him as an Elite ODST
I always used to think my reach Spartan was originally an unheard of Spartan 1 that became an ODST then later became a Spartan again fighting in reach and hitting the rank of lieutenant before reach was glassed and most of the Spartans including my one dying in a last stand Never done that shit for my other Spartans in the newer halos but if I could then he would be a Spartan 3 that is on his way to becoming a hyper lethal like chief (even tho he’s Spartan 2) and noble 6
This is the return to form we need in Infinite's multiplayer, the unlocking of armor and some cosmetics through progression. And if there are to be more armor sets on sale then they at least should be new or more interesting ones, rather than the fan favorites.
Honestly loved the Hayabusa helmet as Ryu Hayabusa was my favorite character in Dead or Alive, which come to think of it the concept of this helmet was obviously done as a trade off for Team Ninja putting the Spartan Nicole 458 into DOA4 along with a stage based off Cairo Station but renamed Nassau Station.
Is the fetus helmet really that bad? I thought it was badass. I didn’t think it was possible to outright hate it. Edit: wtf he barely mentioned scout....also that auto correct😂
I wish Infinite would let us add multiple helmet attachments like Reach did. Sadly I'm always just a bit restricted in making it truly feel like MY Spartan. Multiple helmet attachments, cross core customization, armor/character presets so we can have quick change variations, and then color freedom... These few things, along with a solid forge and theater mode would make Infinite a really great game
I like the AKIS Helmet that was like, cut form Reach but added in for MCC. Also, I think the armour in general in Reach (Specifically the MCC version) is the high point for armor in the Halo series. You don't have any of that weirdly and impractically shaped stuff. It's well shaped, not to visually busy while still having cool and interesting details, and looks "realistic" so yeah. The Reach stuff is my favorite. AKIS helmet in particular, but there are also some other one I really like in there.
4:10 I got Recon from Bungie Day, our squad stayed up all night queuing to try to face the employees playing. If you beat them you got Recon. We eventually did and won it :D Every game we played after that was absolute HYPE. Was so fun and always will be a cherished memory.
My Top Helmets: Halo 3: Mark V Halo Reach: Mark VI Halo 4: Mark VI Halo 2 Anniversary: Mark VI Halo 5: Mark VI I started the first 3 years of my Halo journey with an Xbox Original and Halo CE and 2, so there's a bit of nostalgia and bias as to why I only really prefer to wear Mark V or VI helmets XD I think the final best helmet to move forward would be Mark VI ^^
Ya mention Caboose with the Mark V helmet yet when the EVA helmet comes up with the character in all white with a brute shot in the ice, you don’t mention The Meta / Agent Maine, which is his compete outfit.
I know I'm a bit late but lol H3: Rogue Reach: it's a tie for me between haunted and EOD H4 Defender H5 Warrior Hot take here but I like all the halo art styles of armor for different reasons but I wouldn't consider any style "Bad" sure there are ones I think are better than others in any of the games but there are all winners to me in each game
I think Halo 4’s standouts are the ones currently missing from MCC: the Ricochet DLC armors. The namesake armor was... fine (made you look like a football player in power armor), but the Mark V and ODST armors were just something else.
Completely unrelated, Master Chief and the Arbiter starting a doughnut shop or bakery sound kinda nice and wholesome. They can have little event doughnuts shaped like helmets and cookies styled like grunts, drones and elites. Drones would do delivery, grunts could work at the counter and elites do the cooking, with shields to protect from the heat. Lastly, Arbiter in an apron would look adorable.
The reach pilot helmet is my personal favorite due to how its like E.V.A. which is another favorite of mine but it blends very nicely and I just think it looks good
In Halo 5, I didn't mind the Seeker ARMOR. The helmet was ugly, but I thought the armor was alright. I paired Seeker Intrepid with Mako Cnthonic or however you spell it, and I thought it looked pretty good. It looked like some sort of Scuba armor or whatever. The shark helmet with the scuba armor was pretty cool in my opinion.
Am I the only person who absolutely LOVES the Mark V [B] from Reach (default helmet)? To this day, in the beta, the full release, and mcc, I've never used any other helmet in Reach. Despite the fact that I almost unlocked everything in the original release, and I'm only a few levels from doing so in MCC. I love that helmet so much.
Same dude! I run Noble Six with all default except FJ/para knee pads and MK V shoulder pads, all steel color and the black visor. I’m really glad they made the Keystone helmet in Halo 4 MCC available for free. Reminds me of the Mark V B
The first time around, I didn’t really care too much until reach came around. I was on top of those daily challenges, but personally I was more about the attachments. With MCC I started off being more about the helmets and especially armor abilities which basically means you’ve unlocked a majority of things for a particular game. The helmets they added, say what you will about how true to halo they are, but they were things I never got to pick before, so I went after those.
Hayabusa was a collaboration between halo and Dead or Alive Games, in which Dead or Alive got themselves a spartan, and halo got one of the main characters armor who is also in Ninja Gaiden
All the reach helmets are great I think, I always wanted haunted but never got it, best tho I’d have to give it to Hiyabusa given the fact that there’s a whole Machinema song for it
I remember being one of the first people to be wearing the eva c helmet in reach and having so many people wanting to know how to get it, asking me to show them it, wanting me to join their clans etc. Definitely the biggest my ego has ever been
The Hayabusa Helmet was definitely the GOAT for Halo 3 back in the day because it was a crossover with Dead or Alive & Ninja Gaiden because they added a Spartan character & Orbital Defense Platform Stage into Dead or Alive 4. For Halo Reach, I rocked the EOD for a while but GUNGNIR was the King in my book.
yknow theres something people never seem to think about in halo and thats how your armour choices actually effect your competitiveness, i always find it easier to get headshots on people wearing helmets with big yellow visors, they look pretty cool but i avoid helmets that are basically a big yellow bullseye on my face, and armour pieces that make my silhouette larger even tho it can look cool, i always take dark colours too just to be sure
Tbh, I love the stock helmet in Reach. It's simple and sleek and looks good with any of the armor components. I do put one of the mods on it to add a little bit of variance, but I hung on to it forever cuz I wanted the robot arm and Carter's wrist computer thing.
2:03 exactly that spartan with the colors and helmet.. that scared the crap out of me multiple times as a teen in Halo 3... in Infection multiplayer on my cousin's old 360.... I would try to hide in various "box" bases on the sand map.. and every damn time he'd chase me around, or bash the boxes aside and get me with an energy sword... I kinda got PTSD off the glare off the top of his helmet.. cause that was the last thing I saw as I tried to jump away and shoot him. ^_^
Halo reaches military police helmet was just unique, it went good with most of the chest pieces and looked clean. I was never in a clan that made me wear the helmet I just wore it because it looked good and the lore was cool.
My favorite helmet is easily the Hayabusa helmet, but that's because I'm pretty sure the concept came from a Ninja called ryu Hayabusa that's in a game called ninja gaiden, which I absolutely love that game as well, but nothing will beat the hype of trying to get recon in Halo 3, those were the freaking days dude, and I miss em
The Halo 4 Hazop helmet is THE best helmet in the halo world. It looked so ridiculous, like with the visor shape they gave you you only could see out of the bottom left, bottom right, and top center of your face which was hilarious. Halo 4's Hazop helmet to this day on the Xbox 360's online scene is something that brings people together if you run into another spartan wearing it. Halo 4's Hazop helmet for life comrades!!
The Hayabusa Helmet for me, as a kid I've always fantasized about Ryu Hayabusa and Master Chief meeting eachother, 2 of my coolest childhood hero's! And this is pretty much the closest we (Officially) got. Including the dragon sword this was epic!
If you ask me, the best helmet in all of Halo has gotta be the Wetwork Cleaner from Halo 5. That vertical visor is just perfect-it looks even better with the Gallows visor.
I think my old neighbor had Recon in Halo 3, he worked for Bungie, he also gave me and my brother Halo Reach for free, but is was more a a gift to my brother because Noble 6 had signed it for him, true story.
I remember the two times I first saw the Hayabusa helmet and security police helmet and thinking they were ugly. Their looks slowly grew on me over time and now I think they aren't so bad.
3 months late, but: Scout has always been my helmet of choice, with the exception of Halo Reach, as I didn’t much care for Jun’s version of it. So in its place, I chose to wear the MP helmet as my stand-in for it. Now, I don’t know about you, but I think the reason for its popularity is due to how it basically appears in every mission of the game. Yeah, it really does. Every soldier and marine you meet over the course of the campaign wears some variation of the MP helmet. Just take off the faceplate.
My favorite Halo helmet of all time is CQB, with the best version of it still being Halo 3's version. best for each game, though... 3: Recon Reach: Commando 4: Fotus 5: Achilles Infinite: Mk 7/ Keystone
I personally as someone who only experienced these games in MCC(on PC)(except halo 2(though I didn't do the online multi-player)) really love the ODST helmets and armor.
