Join Chummley as he asks Australia's largest boat dealer what is the best outboard to buy? Which outboards are the most reliable? What makes the best outboards the best? Which outboard should you buy? The answer is simple...Yamaha.
I have to agree Yamaha are the pinnacle of outboard motors, I love Suzuki also but the corrosion from electrolysis is insane, great motor to own for reliability and economy, I’ll have a 200hp Yamaha SHO on my 630 when I come and see you.
Yamaha are a beautiful reliable motor no doubt. Only problem with the v6 4.2l model is fuel economy. They are about 30% less fuel efficient than a merc in same hp.
No true All depends on throttle control there is a lot of absolute BS around fuel what they use at wide open throttle means nothing in real world use Just buy the Yamaha like you should have
There's a reason shit tecs went broke. Can you start a new business in Darwin? The crooks I have to deal with up here are unbelievable, $800 for a 100-hour service. 😢
Give your dealers a break Wages in Darwin for a technician at very high as you know and probably also get paid heaps for working in unbearable weather Boat dealers don’t have volume of car dealers so their wage component of bill is high spread across all the hours worked
225 is a civic engine, 3.6 LITRE V6 225 ?? . Not a fan of Honda marine, dealer network sucks, they were also one of the biggest lobbyists for banning 2 stroke's in Australia.
