I’ve seen those trekology pillows be used for seats on rocky dirt by big guys and they were perfectly fine

Great video, Craig. One thing you might have mentioned is that mummy bags can be less comfortable for side sleepers. This is why I’m shopping for a quilt.

Thanks Jeff! In my opinion it's a real good choice for bargain shoppers I'm hoping to be my one bag for most of the year. I did forget to mention it does have attachment straps for your sleeping pad.

@@ThenaturalmedicAdventures since you mentioned budget, one thing that’s not clear in the title is that the video seems geared more towards the budget conscious/limited backpacker. Which I think is a shame, because a lot of people who might otherwise want to try backpacking are scared off by the $700 tents, and the $450 quilts, etc. I’m sure there are also more than a few people who even though they can afford the priciest of ultralight gear, simply don’t feel the price of a few ounces isn’t worth it. A lot of this budget friendly gear is harder to find(especially the good, budget friendly gear), especially with all the really good and expensive stuff getting the most attention among the backpacking RU-vidrs.

Klymit is only good in price, and fair weather. It’s actual R value, is 1.9. Even though it says 4.2.

@@ThenaturalmedicAdventures Take a look at, Backpacking for family, He reviews a number of pads. Comparing the stated R values, with the official ASTM tested values. He also, does his own tests, using thermal imaging. Klymit, comes in last place. The ASTM R rating, is less than half that, advertised by the manufacturer. This is why I take exception, to anyone promoting their products.
