The stingray is over $600. If you don’t have that I recommend the hummingbird V2 for $160ish. Solid machine.

I was happy to see this video today, I'm hoping to buy my first machine to start tattooing bananas with. I was leaning toward rotary to start so I didnt chew up someone's skin when I start doing real tattoos. I'm glad to hear rotary is good. It seems to be the one most consistent.

I've used coils for a few years and I am currently trying a pen style and have a rotary showing up tomorrow. I've been away from tattooing for 5 years now and I feel like I have to start over completely.

I got Cheyenne thunder this is my favorite machine and this machine work so well we can do black and grey , realism tattoos inkjecta also awesome because I have been tattooing since 8 years by the way I'm from India 🇮🇳😊 🤘🏽

So I want something that I have complete control over the frequency intensity and penetration strength. All that. So I am thinking HOW ? So I am looking at peavey amp and a tone generator.. Who else uses this ? It would seam I would have ultimate control. Right. ??

Yes he is talking about the machine for $650. A little too expensive for a beginner. I recommend the hummingbird v2. It’s only about $160 and it’s the best beginner machine you can possibly get. Another option which might not be so popular but it does have a Faulhaber motor (same one bishop uses) is the CNC Q2 , it’s also about $150 but it is a solid good quality machine.

Very good the way how u suguest a dragonfly better than coil I will suguest coils to But tattoo machines company some times make good machines and wrong way they dont let tattoo artists to chose like profesionails I think peoples have to know more about tattoo machines cam strokes and motors about rotary Have lot of artists who use for example tattoo machines with 2mm cam strokes and they choose the stigma rotary and lot of complicated stufs Im old tattoo artist and 4 me is important the tattoo artist to understand how the tattoo machine works From coil to rotary grips needles and everything

I would have to disagree because if I didn't start 25 years ago with a coil machine I wouldn't nearly have the ability to trouble shoot a rotary

I agree with most of what this guys said. But don't buy anything expensive as a beginner because you may end up deciding tattooing isn't the career or hobby for you! Beginners should stick to tattoo machine kits, which is why starter kits exist for every hobby and most careers. With a tattoo machine starter kit, you'll figure out whether or not tattooing is for you.
