Hi! Sewer's Aid is basically liquid silicone. I had purchased spools of thread that my machine was not a fan of. Rather than getting rid of the spools of thread, I placed a couple drops of the liquid silicone on the spools of thread, and it enabled the thread to "pull through" the machine much easier, making it so I could use the thread. Hope this helps!
