This is less of a Q&A than it is a comment on a Facebook conversation I read last week, debating whether Cameroon wrapper is still Cameroon wrapper if it’s grown somewhere other than Africa. Tricky question, since tobacco is grown around the world - but it’s worth knowing what you're getting on your cigar, as I think you should know what you're paying for (it'll also help you explore other cigars you might like, too). I actually think it’s an even bigger deal when it comes to Connecticut: see how and why terroir matters to wrapper tobacco, and I’ll explain why I get a bit peeved when people call any old CT seed leaf “Connecticut Shade.” Get nitpicky with me, in this video!
