Cigar smoking is one of the few guilty pleasures I have left in this World. It is expensive but I can usually make a cigar last about three or four days depending on the size, so a box of cigars will last me about two months. I try and keep the cost at about $160 a box. When my budget will allow I would like to buy a box of super premium cigars to have on special occasions. Thanks for information. I was curious what drove up the price of cigars.

Love videos like this as im new to trying cigars and i love them . Import tax for us in england is through the roof, for every 2.3 gram of tabbacco i buy costs me 1 pound which about 1 dollor 20 cents extra . A kilogram of cigars is near £500 plus the £400 quid a paid for them which was about 500 dollars. Think ya selves lucky ya not live here . Cheaper though buying direct from America than from shops here as its double the total price .

The Customs of various countries mess up order fulfilments.

Cigars are like fine bourbon and whiskey and wine they only get better with age. All of this is a artform of true craftsmanship quality Always has a price. Its all a individual preference for how much a person is willing to spend i believe

Bottom line, the man who knows more about anyone else alive today, Mr. Lew Rothman, the former owner and founder of JR Cigar said about 1 year ago, the average cigar hitting the American shores these days are about $1.00 ish, and that covers a huge number of them. The importer adds 40% when he sells them to the distributor. So now it's $1.40. The distributor then adds 50% when he sells it to the retailer or e-tailor, bring their cost to $2.10. The retailer then marks it up a minimum of 100% bring it up to $4.20 in the store. How any cigar retails at over $5.00 to $6.00 is way beyond me. I constantly see cigars that look, taste, and smoke like a great $3.00 to $4.00 cigar that sell for $8.00 to $20.00 or even more. Another greedy practice the higher end cigar industry pulls is they put their brands on an "excluded" list. That basically means if a great company such as Famous is having a big sale, like a Black Friday sale for example, that the "excluded" list of cigars can't be discounted during these big sales. What these clowns don't understand is that guys like me, and there are lots of us, can smoke whatever we want and price is no object. However that doesn't mean we're dummies. Cigars are and always have been a 100% commodity item. The name of the game is to turn and burn. Keep that cycle going full throttle and it keeps things efficient. Very early this morning I placed a large order. on that order I included 10 - ten packs of an alleged "luxury" cigar that is normally $88.99 for 10 cigars. With the great Black Friday sale Famous is having, my cost would have dropped to $62.29 per ten pack. When I hit the checkout tab, there was a note under this part of my order that read, due to manufacturer restriction, these are not eligible for the Black Friday discount. I removed them from my cart and added 6 boxes of fabulous super high quality cigars to my cart and was perfectly happy. Look it's pretty simple, right now the manufatcurers are paying more for everything due to shortages on materials and rollers who are fleeing their countries to come here to America in big numbers. So that means a goose in price of 20% or so is to be expected. But no cigar that I've tried that costs more than 8 bucks has been worth the money and is not better in any way than a ton of 3 dollar cigars I smoke on the regular. Fortunately, outfits like Famous never forget who their bread and butter guys are. In the last month I've purchased somewhere around 30 to 35 boxes of cigars from Famous. I also bought that many from another site that carries a brand exclusive to them that's in my wheelhouse flavor and price wise. I smoke a lot of cigars. I know a great cigar when i smoke one. Taste is subjective, and the best thing about smoking cigars is freedom of choice. If you like the fancy 15 to 20 dollar cigars, I'm happy for you. I'm more happy that Famous goes out of their way to have a wide variety of great cigars made that they sell for great prices. To the manufacturers out there with the fixed prices, you lose so many potential sales and would be regular customers with your goofy policies that you can't get outta your own way. I have no pity for you. Cheers

Expensive cigars , hand rolled , loaded whit stems 😐 or plugged or hard like a rock . Fuck expensive cigars .i rarely go over 14$ per cigars but when i do 1 time put of 3 i get a plugged cigar or loaded whit stems barely smokeable . Most of the time its a 28$ montecristo loaded whit stems .
