I believe he's mistaken, a MOPA can literally do everything a q-switch can do and more.

The guy is being disingenuous at best, and basically intentionally confusing people. The MOPA lasers are just as fast if not faster at standard engraving and they have the added benefit of being able to product colors on stainless steel and titanium.

Hello, Can you tell us if this type of laser can engrave color on tungsten carbide material? Nickel base or cobalt base? Or are the colors only possible on stainless steel? We work with a lot of tungsten carbide wedding rings.

No, it can only be marked with color on stainless steel or titanium

Yes, it can engrave black, and light color without take out the aluminum properties.

MOPA IS a fiber laser, and if you're just engraving without color the MOPA lasers are as fast if not faster than the lower cost fiber lasers.
