Somehow i have overlooked this very good video before...and just now i've found some other similar (on topic) ones. I hope that they will help me with the mess in my head due to unclarity about what factors "lay harder" compare to other factors. Still, a long way to go, because it is hard to know/remember/see all (!) information and see the whole (!) picture. Also, it is hard to find information in the books on how to put "all things" together, including nakshatras (with their main planets), and so far i didn't find any video on that. That's how i see Jyotish and only recently i understood that i am thinking 'KrishnaMurti Jyotish' ... ;) Everything is important, simplifying makes everything black & white, and the exclusion the huge wealth of information from nakshatras in the chart and not listening to the experience of others, again sticking blindly to black and white text books, is not complete, not wise. For example, my first books didn't even make clear about how to count the aspects (including the bhava counted from or not); "The strength of aspect depends on the longitudinal difference between the aspecting graha and the aspected graha" - what a relief (why not include it in the book/video right away?); also the books (and videos) should make clear about different systems of Jyotish KP, Lahiri, Ayanamsa, Raman, Yukteswar,..); how to separate/see/combine the information on bodily organs according to rasi, bhava, graha and nakshatra: all that unclear, incomplete information makes one (at least, me) confused and frustrated. So, not knowing or neglecting the different strengths / extents of different rules (elements, gender, rasi and planets aspects, lords/sublords, avasthas, nakshatra with their 'rulers', shad bala, drikk bala, kala bala, chest bala, naisargika bala, drig bala, uccha bala, kendradi gradings, reading according drekkana, permanent and temporary friendships/enmities, and, of course, how things change depending on Lagna /malefics-benifics/, Moon and Nakshatra). Jyotish without nakshatras and divisional charts is not Jyotish. Somehow i personally have way too much information and not enough of it (to read and in my head) simultaneously. I guess, i need instructor, order, system...a brain and time, too ;) Also, books are books and reality is reality (just reminded it to myself after listening to James Braha discussing controversial placements) ... like in all things (Jyotish, medicine, Vastu,...) Those who teach have to know or anticipate different levels of knowledge (and ability to know) of those who listens. A good teacher is not only the one who knows a lot, but also who has experience and knows how to teach. Lately i stick to books, VarahaMihira, Ernst Wilhelm...developing my own structure to go along with, otherwise...can go nuts... ;) Vic DiCara is good, too. U mentioning strength by aspects.. what about conjunction ? Can I take that factor into the account if no planets receiving aspects from any planets. Does Conjunction by degree works with respect to strength ?

I am trying to do this myself and what you say about the waxing/waning moon confuses me. When you say "the closer the moon gets to being full" do you mean in terms of sheer degree or in terms of the amount of time it will take for it to be full again (in which case a waxing new moon being 0.01 degrees apart from the sun is 100% strength for the benefics because it will take 28 days to be empty again). Or is there some medium between the two? Thank you Vic.
Do we consider awasthas of planets while determining the strength? Also in the planetary war, do we look at exaltation of a particular planet in that sign and planetary friendships?
Hey Vic, Doubt: Once we determine overall shadbala, do we apply that shadbala figure across all divisional charts? For eg. if Moon has greater shadbala than Saturn, and if we are evaluating the Navamsa - can we say that Moon is stronger than Saturn within the Navamsa?
yes. but the bala/dignity in that divisional should be weighted more strongly when confining an evaluation to that divisional (which, however, is not a very reccomended or frequently employed technique)
@@VicDiCaraAstrology Oh okay. Because I have Ketu in the 12th from Karakamsa Lagna (Atmakaraka is in Sagittarius and Ketu is in Scorpio Navamsa along with Moon). Saturn is aspecting this from Aries Navamsa. Saturn has greater Navamsa Varga bala whereas Moon has greater overall Shadbala. I am trying to figure out whether this Saturn will mess with my spiritual prospects!

Even Ancient Astrologies have absorbed the influence of Leaders using Astrology like a Religion: meaning there are areas or depths/amount of "fear based Ideologies applied". This is my perspective, each have their own. I came to this persoective through understanding the "Universal Law of Attraction", and its "Absolute" value. The "Universal Law of Attraction" is all about "Energy, Vibration, and Frequency". It is "How" we are experiencing our Reality. Apply this to the subject of Astrology, and actually it is a reverse, add Astroligy (the interpretation of the available energies + the template/natal charr defining by induvidual). The "LOA" value influences the experience, thus the energies available can be enhanced by our perspective, beliefs. We can always affect a more posituve effect, throuug our Frequency ° ✨ I feel all the aspects were originally defined as "available supporting energies", ie: Positive. We choose how we are seeing, feeling, tasting, etc, whether Consciously or in an unawareness. Our perspective, expectations, Beliefs, influence the reality experience.
