Jesus is NOT God in the flesh, he is the SON of God, the term God in the flesh does not appear in the Bible, it is YOU who just made it up. The eight beings who are called YHWH may refer to those angels who have the Tetragrammaton as part of their name. These are highly ranked angels that are outside the normal system of authorithy. They are the ones Yahuah uses as his counsel. So when you call on YHWH you are not calling on YAHUAH. You're calling on his 8 princes who are his counsel. Food for your thought

Thanks for the presentation. Yes you are right that God has only one personal holy name as represented by the Tetragrammaton ( יהוה) often transliterated as YHWH. Then as known then translated into various best guessed forms such as Yahweh, Yehwah, Yehwih, or Yeho·wah According to Britannica - "Early Christian writers, such as St. Clement of Alexandria in the 2nd century, had used a form like Yahweh, and this pronunciation of the tetragrammaton was never really lost. Many Greek transcriptions also indicated that YHWH should be pronounced Yahweh" Of course, when this is put into English or Latinized (as an example) then we can get Jehovah, Yehovah, Iehovah, Iehouah etc… all pretty similar. I personally speak English. Did God say not to translate his name into other languages that we speak? Please show me a scripture that’s says he didn’t want humans to use his name in other language forms. Sure, we can say Yahweh or similar if we choose to or a close representation in our own language. There is no prohibition in the Bible to do any of this. Also if you don't want to use a J letter at the beginning of the English form then stop also using J for Jeremiah and Joseph and Jehu and Jonah etc...etc... So if you are going to pronounce it Yahweh and not a English or Latinized form then you are of course going to be consistent and call Jesus - Yeshua. Jehovah is simply a Latinized form the same as Jesus is Latinized. If we don’t know the exact way to pronounce it due to the lost vowels, then should we NOT use it? Should we really believe its too sacred to get wrong? Should we follow ancient superstations that are not in the Hebrew Bible anywhere? On this interestingly the Encyclopaedia Judaica says: “The avoidance of pronouncing the name YHWH is . . . caused by a misunderstanding of the Third Commandment (Ex. 20:7; Deut. 5:11) as meaning ‘Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy God in vain,’ whereas it really means ‘You shall not swear falsely by the name of YHWH your God.’” So clearly this is not a commandment by God not to use his name. He is simply saying don't use my name in a bad, worthless way or use it to lie basically. Or to impugn his character in any way. This is NOT saying..... don't say my name if not sure how to pronounce it. Why would he mean that? Does not fit with the scriptures at all! (see the verses below in various translations for comparisons) Also, Leviticus 24:16 is talking about blasphemy (as shown by verse 15) and using Gods name in a bad or blasphemous way such as calling down evil on God's name which was a practice that started previously. So, God stated that the death penalty was to be invoked for such a crime against him. This is not at all saying DONT use Gods name! Purposely ignoring context here to say otherwise. Gods holy personal and divine name is in the Hebrew Bible over 6800 times much more than any other name. Quite amazing. Its very obvious he wants us to know his name and use it! The common noun words (as examples) - God or god, Almighty, I Am Who I Am Lord, Sovereign, Father, First and Last - are all descriptive titles and are not personal names of God or a proper noun to identify Gods name. Again, context is not taken into account and surrounding verses which tell the accurate story. Ex 3:14 being a case in point. This is used by itself to give a false impression about what God is saying about his identity. But then verse 15 is ignored. This next verse explains what God really said to Moses about his name which is Yahweh or similar. But what is Gods viewpoint? Does he want us to use his name whichever language translated version we use of the Tetragrammaton in the Bible? What is God telling us in these verses below (provided in various Bible translations below) Is God saying don’t use my name- forget it? Its to sacred to use? You must only use for a 1500 hundred or 2000 years or so then stop using it? Then just use my titles like ...The I Am Who I am, Almighty God, Most high, Father, Lord etc…..? Or don’t use my name if not sure how to pronounce! Really are there any verses in the Bible at all that hint at this at all?? Isn't it completely the other way around? How important is God's word and name to us. Or is it just our own viewpoint that's important. Hopefully some food for thought for truth seekers. Thanks The Bible in Living English Ex 3:15 And God said to Moses again “You are to say to the sons of Israel ‘Jehovah, your fathers’ God, Abraham’s God, Isaac’s God, Jacob’s God, has sent me to you’; this is my name forever, and this my identification for generation after generation Literal Standard Version Ex 3:15 And God says again to Moses, “Thus you say to the sons of Israel: YHWH, God of your fathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this [is] My Name for all time, and this [is] My memorial, to generation [and] generation. Professor G. T. Manley points out: “A study of the word ‘name’ in the O[ld] T[estament] reveals how much it means in Hebrew. The name is no mere label, but is significant of the real personality of him to whom it belongs. . . . When a person puts his ‘name’ upon a thing or another person the latter comes under his influence and protection.”-New Bible Dictionary, edited by J. D. Douglas, 1985, p. 430; compare Everyman’s Talmud, by A. Cohen, 1949, p. 24; No wonder Almighty God told the ancient Israelites that they were his witnesses and to be called by his name. He wanted to protect them and also to reveal his name and his power through his miraculous protection of his people. His people were his children. He was their father. They were in reality to represent him through their actions and worship. All the nations were to come to know his name as the true God! A loving father but also identified specifically by his personal unique and special name. This would also separate him from all the other false gods of this world promoted by the enemy of truth and the father of the lie - Satan the devil. Those that serve the true Almighty God and our creator today and use his name regularly in conversation and in prayer (Yahweh, Jehovah or whichever one you prefer or in your own language) today know that he is their God protecting them and guiding them today. They are also being obedient to his instructions in his word. Thanks for your time ( Isa 43:7 - Acts 15:17)

Yep correct! Thats why to pronounce God name in English as Jehovah is perfectly fine. If you want to speak Hebrew, then sure use Yahweh. Its common practice all over the world and for centuries to translate proper nouns (personal names) into other languages which change them. Its still the name but in another language. So, if anyone complains that we shouldn't use the letter J as it wasn't used in Hebrew or Greek then stop saying Jesus or Jermiah, Joseph etc... Be consistent or if not maybe its about trying to hide Gods name as the ancient Jewish leaders did. These ones Killed Jesus in the first century. But well before that they stopped using Gods name and just wrote or said LORD (Hebrew - Adonay / Greek - Kyrios) showing their wickedness. Im not going to follow them so will use Jehovah and a Bible translation in English that uses Gods name Jehovah in the original places over 6800 times. Yes put on high the author of the Bible and especially after he told us to use, know and tell others about his name many times in his word!!@@AntiquatedApe

@kableguy5525
@kableguy5525 8 месяцев назад
Exactly! - Jehovah is not the exact name of God and nor is Yahweh or Yuh-hwuh or Yeh-hwah. The original pronunciation of Gods name was lost - hence the variety on suggested forms today of Hebrew forms of Yahweh to other forms in other languages. Best guessing in fact. Actually In the second half of the first millennium C.E., Jewish scholars introduced a system of points to represent the missing vowels in the consonantal Hebrew text. Yeah the VOWELS were MISSING. So God allowed that to happen. So when it came to God’s name, instead of inserting the proper vowel signs for it, they put other vowel signs to remind the reader that he should say ʼAdho·naiʹ (meaning “Sovereign Lord”) or ʼElo·himʹ (meaning “God”). Then later the Codex Leningrad B 19A, of the 11th century C.E., vowel points the Tetragrammaton to read Yehwahʹ, Yehwihʹ, and Yeho·wahʹ. Ginsburg’s edition of the Masoretic text vowel points the divine name to read Yeho·wahʹ. (Ge 3:14, ftn) Some Hebrew scholars generally favor “Yahweh” as the most likely pronunciation. They point out that the abbreviated form of the name is Yah (Jah in the Latinized form), as at Psalm 89:8 and in the expression Ha·lelu-Yahʹ (meaning “Praise Jah, you people!”). (Ps 104:35; 150:1, 6) Also, the forms Yehohʹ, Yoh, Yah, and Yaʹhu, found in the Hebrew spelling of the names Jehoshaphat, Joshaphat, Shephatiah, and others, can all be derived from Yahweh. Greek transliterations of the name by early Christian writers point in a somewhat similar direction with spellings such as I·a·beʹ and I·a·ou·eʹ, which, as pronounced in Greek, resemble Yahweh. Still, there is by no means unanimity among scholars on the subject, some favoring yet other pronunciations, such as “Yahuwa,” “Yahuah,” or “Yehuah.” Since certainty of pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton is NOT NOW attainable, there is no reason for abandoning in English the well-known form “Jehovah” thats been in use for centuries to favor some other suggested pronunciation. If such a change were made, then, to be consistent, changes should be made in the spelling and pronunciation of a host of other names found in the Scriptures: Jeremiah would be changed to Yir·meyahʹ, Isaiah would become Yeshaʽ·yaʹhu, and Jesus would be either Yehoh·shuʹaʽ (as in Hebrew) or I·e·sousʹ (as in Greek). Yet those who complain about the pronunciation Jehovah or Yahweh don't change those names. I lIke what Luther said back in 1543 - Luther wrote: “That they [the Jews] now allege the name Jehovah to be unpronounceable, they do not know what they are talking about . . . If it can be written with pen and ink, why should it not be spoken, which is much better than being written with pen and ink? Why do they not also call it unwritable, unreadable or unthinkable? All things considered, there is something foul.” Yeah, I'm with him on this. The purpose of words is to transmit thoughts; in English the name Jehovah identifies the true God, transmitting this thought more satisfactorily today than any of the suggested substitutes. But hey or huh....each do their own. Have a lovely day😊

Wrong! This video is heathen propaganda. God's word in the English language is found in the Authorized (King James) Version of the Holy Bible. Using the name Yahweh is not a different way of pronouncing God's name. It is a replacement of the LORD Jehovah with a heathen tribal god, Yahweh. Dr. Nehemia Gordon, Ph.D., researched the origins of Yahweh and was shocked to find out that Yahweh is not the God of the Bible, but is a pagan god worshipped by the Samaritans. The Romans worshipped Jupiter as the principal god in their henotheistic mythology. Josephus reveals that the Samaritans rededicated their temple to Jupiter (a.k.a., Zeus) in 168 B.C. The Samaritans called Jupiter Yoveh. In Latin, Yoveh was pronounced Yoweh, which ultimately became Yahweh. Yahweh is not Jehovah. One clue that Yahweh and Jehovah are not the same is that they carry two different meanings. Hebraist Dr. Nehemia Gordon, Ph.D., explains that Jehovah literally means He who was, He who is, and He who will be. Yahweh, on the other hand, is an Arabic word that means "love, desire, or passion." Yahweh and Jehovah carry two different meanings because Yahweh is NOT Jehovah. Jehovah is the eternal God of heaven, who was, who is, and who will be. In contrast, Yahweh is a heathen god of passion. Edward Hendrie Author of "YAHWEH Is NOT the LORD JEHOVAH"

Regardless of what is claimed, viewers should understand that : -YHWH is the personal name of the God of the Bible - It is found thousands of times - over 6000 times - in the Bible - It was used in psalms which were songs of preaise and so the name was sung as we do today with Hallelujah ! - The name was widely used in every day life and found in archaeological findings. - It was only much later that the unscriptural Jewish traditions came about. - the translators of the Septuagint, the Greek Bible, contraray to what was said, still included the divine name in ancient Hebrew in the text. - The divine name was incorporated into many Jewish names egYEHOshua. - Jesus asked his followers to 'hallow' or make holy/ sanctify the divine name in the famour Lord's prayer. (Mat 6 :9,10) - Some scholars argue that the divine name would originally have been used in NT writings when they were quoting from OT passages. Failure to un derstand the name robs Christians of the Jewish origins of their faith. --

You write YHVH and then you say it is YHWH. When you write a Vav you don't call it a w because it is not. The w was put in by German Jews it went with Yiddish and the two were spoken by the German Jews. In Israel they teach YHVH, but no one will say his name because it is forbidden by law. His name is the only name that has never been written with vowels so his name would not be taken in vain. Like people use Jesus' name as a Cuse word which is a sin.

A few things… If Hebrew is a vowel less language then why is the only misunderstood name YHWH? (I think the Jews had it right by not pronouncing it.) Also, WHO ADDED THE VOWELS AND WHEN? (Too many vague answers on that one. Nobody seems to view that as problematic.) The New Testament says that Jesus (or its legitimate translation) is the name ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME! Not Yahweh. Also, Yahweh is not mentioned once in the NT. Not once! It has been said that God put the unpronounceable letters YHWH in the OT for a reason. To be revealed at a later time. Then came Jesus. THE ONLY NAME GIVEN UNDER HEAVEN BY WHICH MAN CAN BE SAVED. (So there’s that.) What I can’t figure out is, what’s the trick? Where’s the deception? Many who call upon the name of Jesus refer to God as Yahweh. Salvation is not lost on technicality. The simplicity of the gospel prevents that . So what’s the scam? I believe YHWH , the mystery name, was a place holder (like everything else was. Temple sacrifice, Passover, etc.) They all pointed to Christ. Who is the Passover, the sacrifice, etc.

Peoples who spreads that wrong claim are mostly "Yahweh" supporters, which is - depends on hebrew grammar- more unlikely than Yehovah. Yahweh is just simply the phonetic sounding from the hebrew letters" yud-hey-wav-he". when you spell it it sounds "iave" ..but thats of course not his pronounciation, as i said before, it's the phonetic playback from the 4 hebrew letters. because of this the misunderstanding from the writers who heard that name from the samaritans. samaritans also does not pronounce the name, they only said the 4 letters "yud hey wav he, for greek ears that sounds like Iave

For example: False gods: Bel and Nebo: Bel = Belteshazar (Daniel) Nebo = Nebonidus, Nebuchadnezzar, True God Yeho(vah) ….Yehoyakim, Yehoram, Yehoshua, Yehoshaphat, Yehudah, Yehoash , Jeho-a-haz The CLUE is in the name. A name is a set of words used to refer to someone or something. The Lord has many names. Exodus 6:3, Revelation 7:9, revelation 19:12-16. I say his name as "Yah Ha Wah" or Yahawah. God is way more concerned about how you treat him and others than what you call him. If youre not following his ways then you could call on any name til your blue in the face. It wont do any good. Did you know that YHWH, written with the old “Otiot” Hebrew letter you get the meaning “Behold the hand,behold the nail”, explaining John 1:1: YHWH = Yeshua and Yeshua = YHWH = The Word

I saw another interpretation of the name which also made sense to me, namely: The one who exists and causes existence. And the name Jesus, the original Hebrew version is that name of God with an added "saves" at the end. Jahwe-shua. (God saves).

I really hope that all Christian will pronounce God's name correctly: Yehowah. Even as all Jews call Him. I pray that Christians stop blaspheming by calling His name Yehowah false, and to stop giving the Father an idol name. In the name of His Son Iesous Christos. Amen. In all truth and grace and mercy.

The tetragrammaton contains 3 vowels so it is most likely that Yahweh is a wrong pronounciation.

Yahweh is NOT even a Hebrew word let alone a Hebrew name...There is also a clue in the names of people in the Bible whose names were made up in part from the names of their gods, referred to as THEOPHORIC NAMES IN THE BIBLE,,,,,,theophoric names are names derived from a god. For example: False gods: Bel and Nebo: Bel = Belteshazar (Daniel) Nebo = Nebonidus, Nebuchadnezzar, True God Yeho(vah) ….Yehoyakim, Yehoram, Yehoshua, Yehoshaphat, Yehudah, Yehoash , Jeho-a-haz The CLUE is in the name. If you really are open minded and really do want to find out the real way to pronounce God's name, then may I suggest that you look into it with an open mind. The Hebrew scholar Nehemiah Gordon will point you in the right direction as he does NOT have a horse in the race, and will prove how the name was NEVER LOST, but rather was hidden !

@@STROND The point of the bible is not to know call Gods real name over and over.. its to know his works. Thats the value of his name. IF YOU ARE NOT DOING HIS JOB the name you use doesnt matter... he wont hear you!!! Those who do his will are heard no matter the language or name.
