Been growing my's for 4 years now and I started my locs last month I have a 4b/4c hair type and I still have alot of length to my high top locs I just know in 1 year my hair length will be that long
just let him do him bro it's not that serious, people are not going to want to watch 3 years old videos on dreads they are gonna look for the newest videos out there
My hair is 4c very dense and very tough I eventually had to get dreadlocks because cutting my hair was a pain and combing it was also a pain was pretty easy to get locks cause my hair is very strong so they just used a crotchet pin
Yeah, my hair is also very dense. And I’m tired of trying to grow it out and braiding and all that. Dreads are the way to go, buying a sponge to create sections, using my fingers and some gel to twist. It will be locked up by September.
I got very loose curls so I’d say 3c, I’m not very interested in locks as I like how my hair is currently. But I was curious about my hair type. So thanks
I have either 2a or 2b hair and for my first dreadlock batch i used the dread sponge for like 2-3 months and after that all my roots were pretty well separated and than that really made them pop out and made more dreads form
I call my hair 3c semi freeform, I started by doing freeform so my sections were created naturally and then I got bored and decided to finger coil my sections
Same except I started mines off in two strands and left them in that style till they locked, I had the semi freeform for about 6 months until I got them retwisted
Exactly I mean, maybe if you put some curling cream and it’s freshly washed😂. But in its natural state, it looks more like. 2018, Lil Baby or 2019 NBA YoungBoy.
*Brings up method for 3A-3C hair, but shows the sponge on courser hair type.* I can tell you rn my hair would just be matted to my skull if I did that. The braid method and two strand method works better for this type. Just saying.
I have type 3b hair but everytime i try to sponge my hair just gets matted and weird. Is there a fix for that, or should I just opt for a different method?
I have a question. I have fine, low denesity 4b hair, and want loc's, are fsemi- free-form a better way of loc's for people with fine, low density hair? And what would be the best method for starting semi-free form loc's on fine, low desnity hair? Thanks
I have mixed race hair which is a 4a because my hair locks really fast especially when I use Cantu leave in conditioner to develop a tight curl pattern
one thing about close curly hair is that looks can be deceiving as its often thought of as only being thick but there are those with textures of cotton or even satin😄 .
what if you have different hair types all at once, like i got mostly wavy hair but i have several collections of curly hair strands under it and sometimes even tight curls in the front
How do I loc my hair if I have most of the hair types in my head? I have a mix of all but more of between 1 and 3c in the middle of my head. I had my locs for about 2 months but because I have more straght hair in the front some of my locs keep on falling out. I am trying to loc my hair myself with no product and no tools.
i got curly ish and it falls all between, currently doing free forms but idk much, my hair has been locking which is cool but what can i do about the itchiness at times 😂🤣⁉️
I’m both 3C and 4A When I style my hair it’s 3C and very curly but when dry before going to bed it’s 4A, finna get 2 strands for like 2/3 months then get my hair braided then back to how it is now, which is 5 inch length curly fade
I can't tell what hair type I have mine is curly but I think it's thick and the pic he showed is really curly mime is different curly idk if it just thicker Can someone also help with this, My hair is usually curly from everywhere but idk y in the middle it's not as curly is it because it's long? Also the sides as well but sides r still pr curly but middle isn't always curly like everywhere else
Idek how to twist my hair bcuz my hair density is so fine aka thick that nothing seems to work. I just want to try something I different but my hair seems like it never grows. Maybe it’s shrinkage but I’ve been growing an Afro taper for about 7 months now and I have a decent length yet my hair type or hair density is so thick that I literally can’t style it. I feel stuck but I don’t want to go back to having short hair.
My hair is so beatiful 2c typa of wavy hair in the back with glossy Ash muted metalic hair color yea ig blonde and Detangled white people curls on topp i lowkey wanna have a dread
hey my hair type isn't uniform through a strand of hair like its curly at the roots and then gets straight as you go toward the end and then it gets curly again no clue how that happens but how do I determine my hair type?
That’s soly up to you and how ur hair is if ur just starting out I’d recommend waiting a couple weeks so ur hair can get used to it but making sure to keep ur hair moisturized so it isn’t dry and itchy everyone’s scalp is different so it depends really best advice is listen to ur hair and keep tabs on it
I was watching a RU-vid video of you 5 years ago on showing how to twist dreads. And your dreads looked a lot different it kinda looks like the texture of your hair changed in looked more course then it does now
