@@boostedmaniac a car doesn’t need a high center of gravity to flip. A tire can catch the pavement, and send the car tumbling, no matter the size. Especially at high speeds anyone can be flipped from a pit.

People think she was speeding or being aggressive with her driving, or they just don’t understand what you’re supposed to do in a traffic stop like this. In reality she did everything she was legally supposed to do. Put on her hazards, slow down and pull over as soon as she felt safe to do so - which she didn’t because she was on the highway.

It looks like it's got a pretty low center of gravity, but not as low as a tesla suv. The battery places most of the car's mass at the bottom of the car. Tis a good idea

No. You’re going based off a 3 second clip. No one is mentioning how long the traffic stop had been going on for. For all we know she’d been going for 5-10 minutes. I agree with you. The SUV had the hazards on. They were looking for a safer place to pull over as the shoulder was too narrow. The officer was at fault for not seeing the blinking hazards.

When a police officer activates his lights... And or siren... It does NOT mean turn your hazard lights on and go really slow..... It means pull over and STOP. You don't get to make the laws I don't get to make the laws... Law enforcement in government make the laws. If you obey them you will never have a problem. I'm an old lady and I've never been in trouble once. I do everything I possibly and physically can to obey the rules of the road the laws of the road and the world.... And I have no problems. Not always simple sometimes I want to do what I should not do... But I don't want to be in trouble I don't want a ticket I don't want to go to jail I don't want to risk somebody's life.... I believe that this was an improperly timed pit maneuver, but the actual maneuver itself is good and in a lot of cases required to stop a vehicle. The only other option most police departments have on-hand to stop a vehicle is road spikes (hard to deploy and only sometimes effective) or shooting the driver (bad).

The PIT maneuver is supposed to be done at lower speeds and you just have to bump the other car. You don't ram it and send it off in another direction. This cop didn't know what he was doing. Thankfully there were few other cars on the road or this could have been much worse.

ASP Officer initiated a Traffic stop with lights and sirens as he thought an officer of the Law that is safe to do so. They were several opportunity’s to stop for the woman and the ASP Vehicle is a fully marked squad car. The officer did not let go the use of the siren to indicate he wanted her to stop. All tough people can activate the hazzard lights to continue this applies to different situation of the car behind doesn’t seem authentic and there is no place to stop. Non of this was the case here. The woman unwillingly Initiated a pursuit in which she must face the consequences for.

The "chase" went on for almost 3 minutes. In the video you can obviously see she had plenty of space to pull over. And it doesnt matter, law is you HAVE to pull over unless the officer says on the speakerphone elsewise.

I was about to ask why she didn't just pull over over but you're right, she had her hazards on. I can imagine she was just startled.

The real question is this; how long was she driving with her hazards on? If she was going two or three minutes down the road, fine. But any longer than that and it kinda becomes a vehicle pursuit. If she really needed to go farther than two or three minutes, she should've called 9-1-1 and asked the dispatcher to let the officer know what she was doing.

They can send u tickets through the mail after getting your license plate. If he believed she was evading him AND the ticket was SO urgent, that would have been the appropriate action.

This is not true in every state. In my state it is mandatory that you pull over because the courts in our state has argued that the officer is trained and knows when it is safe to pull you over. Each state has different rules. Best thing is to just simply pull over and avoid any guess work. Now obviously not every officer is gonna know who's behind the wheel not always the register owner is behind the wheel could be a murderer that just murdered your family member could be a car thief could be anything. Pulling over is the best option to avoid escalation and guess work. Officers typically know when it's safe to pull you over that's what they're trained for

She slowed down and turned her emergency lights on (this is exactly what it says to do in her states driving manual). Either the cop doesn't know the local laws, or he does and didn't care.

I am not defending that the PIT was used, and I think that it was 100% uncalled for, but if you pull someone over for a reason, its not to ticket them, its for safety. That pregnant woman DID do what she was told, she had her blinker and hazards on showing she was pulling over. She was looking for a safe place to pull off the side of the road. That cop was a dumb hick with too much power, he had no reason to hit her car.

The lower center of gravity makes them 10%-15% harder to roll over but if it rolls over you're 60%-70% more likely to get seriously injured..... I've seen a few convertibles flip, momentum and weight transfer can easily overcome center of gravity as it can rapidly change the balance point.

After the trooper turned on his lights he waited a whoping 30-40 seconds before performing the pit, furthermore the woman slowed down, pulled all the way to the right and put on her hazards because the shoulder was too narrow to stop safely. This pit should never have happened, especially after not even a minute of low speed driving with her clearly signaling that she will pull over as sonn as she can.

Because unlike cases of police brutality this was them following procedure not going on a power trip

@@Barry972 no I’ve seen the original video, she was slowing down. She put her hazards on to indicate that she was gonna pull over at a safer area. He was only behind her for about 20-25 seconds before he flipped her car over.

@@Barry972 She couldn’t stop at the shoulder of the highway, because it was dangerous. In the other full video, it showed her putting in her signals, then her flashers, and slowing down, and waiting till she reached the safe exit to pull over. But she was rammed before she could reach the exit.

There's two sets of laws. The ones for us citizens and the ones for THEM.

You actually can use lethal force on someone fleeing from a scene if they’re posing a great threat of bodily harm or death to others if not stopped. If you were just mugged by someone with a knife and they started running off and you shot them, it’d be justified
