So what is it like to drive an 11,000bhp dragster?

Did I miss the part about driving the 11k dragster? I was expecting Alex to actually ride in one, right?

all i heard was rambling on about the raceway and nothing on actually driving a 11k hp dragster

I've been to Santa Pod once to experience 2 top fuel dragsters going full throttle. I can honestly say that everyone should at least experience that once in their lifetimes. It is truly mind blowing and indescribable really. And I've seen my fair share of awesome racing (DTM, F1, etc). Just do it, you will never forget it!

I'm 13 and I have special access to one of the American top fuel teams, Steve Torrence and the capo dragster. I've stood right next to it in the pits when they fire up the car, the nitro burning your nose and stinging your eyes it just is something amazing about it I've been 20 ft away from a car in the top eliminator club when they launch off the line and my headphones fly off my head from the force of it I've gone 4 times now and I'm going every single year it is truly one of the most fun action packed type of racing you can watch or even drive in.

This is crazy ironic... I was watching racing videos last night and ended up watching dragster engine rebuild one after another. I then asked myself, I wonder what it'd be like to race a 10,000+ dragster 😮😮

It's amazing to see how many people think that drag racing is easy. It's not just "driving in a straight line". Try and keep an 11000 hp car from kicking out on you and you would be surprised how quickly you will end up in the sidewall.

I hate how everyone was expecting Alex to ride in one and got pouty when he didn't. Those crews aren't going to let him just take one for fun, they're approximately $150,000 and use about $1000 every second on the track if they don't wreck anything. This was just a reflection from the actual drivers on how they feel when driving the dragsters. Great video CarThrottle keep these up!

Best time ever when I went in a dragster , not a top fuel but fast enough, done the quarter mile in 7.8 seconds. Anyone can go in one just got to pay £400 😎

here is a little fact. take a bucket full of water and tip it upside down, not overly exciting granted but,a top fuel or funny car on a run will empty your bucket of 'nitro' through its engine quicker than you can empty your bucket!!!!

At 0:30 even if you put it at 1/4xs speed, the drag radials are spinning like crazy!

Well i went to a monster truck event in santa pod in 2016 but this year i went to a drag race event IT WAS SOOO LOUD AND THERE WAS A JET CAR THAT SPAT FIRE OUT THE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been to drag strip before. Your vision goes blurry when top fuels and nitro funny cars take off. It's just insane! It's really crazy that I saw a dragster go 330 mph in person! I had a huge jump scare when I didn't see one take off. Please don't be crazy and not cover your ears. It hurt mine so much!!! It's like you can feel your bones in your body when they take off.
