My wife just had a 6 week scan and we saw the beating heartbeat of our beautiful baby and it was the most special thing I've ever experienced. How on God's earth can you tell me that what I saw was not life?!!!!!!!! I can't believe we live in a world where these people deny this absolute fact!!! Yes it's her body and it was her choice to have unprotected sex knowing full well that there maybe a consequence of having a child. After that there is no choice anymore. Only rape and medical excemptions is fine but 99% of abortions are for birth control for poor choices let's be honest!

@@mikesullivan8815 hi! so i have a boyfriend who’s pro life and our best friend is also pro life. It’s interesting cause my boyfriends Catholic and our best friend is Jewish and an atheist. They kept challenging my views saying murder is wrong but I kept using the “my body my choice” and “it’s not your choice to make” argument. I was also extremely pro choice during the roe v Wade overturn and did a presentation on being for abortion with my friend for our social Justice class. Even after then, i still had challenging convos with my boyfriend and my friend. The second they asked me if I wanted to see what an abortion looked like I was terrified and said no. And that’s all they needed to prove their point. I also stopped denying that it’s a human being from conception. Btw I became pro life over a year after knowing them both and became pro life on my own after doing a lot of my own research and having deep conversations with them two!!

So, to all those who say "but rape"... the baby should get the death penalty for the sin of the father? No. Absolutely not. Society should provide for the mother and the child... if she keeps it or if she gives it up for adoption. Why? Because it is fitting, merciful, and possible. And violent rapists should be put to death. This is the answer. A crime as heinous as rape will always create a non-optimal outcome. But which is worse, and answer truthfully? A baby murderer or a rapist? Is that what we are to become to deal with rape??? Your idea seems pragmatic on the surface, but look deeper. Surely, you don't believe it.

@jonatand3425 Actually, according to a few population projection polls surrounding the birth rates of various beliefs and factions, it's actually atheists that are dwindling, and Christians and Islam that are growing in numbers. I believe David Wood of Acts17Apologetics fame presented this very poll when talking about Richard Dawkins having said in a lecture that the only reason DNA exists is to make copies of itself.

I'm a Muslim woman and a Law major, and I stand wholeheartedly for this cause. It's a biological fact that life begins at conception, period. Reality exists regardless of whether we like it or not. Whoever denies reality is delusional, and they automatically lose their credibility, and thus they don't have the capacity to make any decisions or hold credible opinions.

As someone who is pro-choice, I'm just wondering what people here think about abortion under special circumstances like rape or if the life/well-being of the mother is in danger. I can completely understand (although I don't agree with) why many people are pro-life under normal circumstances. But I cant understand how people could say abortion is wrong when it is someone who was raped or if the pregnancy greatly risks the life of the mother.
I think the people who are mainly saying that abortions are wrong in these scenarios are strictly severely religious people who see it as killing gods mircle or something like that. As someone who is pro life I think that If the mother is in danger or the baby is a product of rape then they should 100% be allowed to get an abortion, but a large portion of abortions are from young adults and teens from 16 to their twenties who were dumb and didn't use protection and I think they shouldn't kill the kid just because of that fact that the baby was an accident or wasn't meant to happen. They should take responsibilities for their mistakes and that means their kids.
Oh thank goodness, a fellow pro-choicer, I've been searching for ages for one. And I'm also quite curious on this topic- would a pro-lifer rather let the carrier die a very preventable death, even when all signs point that only the fetus- or neither at all, usually- will survive? Is valuing the unborn more important than those alive and aware?
