Just a long way of saying work out more, climb more, and you'll get better with time

Great advice, especially with the progressive loading for training to avoid getting injured! 👏

Thank you for watching!! We guess the slow but steady training plan was the key for our injury-free progression😋

Glad I found this vid! Been climbing for 2 months now with my fiancé and just love it so much. We're both very athletic so have a strong "base" even though you don't really train for finger and tendon strength in weight lifting. The way you describe "reaching v5" sounds to be exactly where I'm at right now. I haven't even attempted to project any v6 +

I whoud like to note that you don't have to clime 2-3 tims a week to reach v5. I got there in a year, but you really need to max out those session's. I'm only saying this to encourage people how have similarly limited time to climb.

Thank you for watching! Yea we agree that V5 can be reachable even within months, especially for people who already had good fitness!

This is a great overview, and super relevant to me. I am at v5 level and do little training off the wall. Could use more climbing-specific exercises and structure of my sessions. Just the other day I had one of those overlong sessions exactly as you described lol, was kind of frustrating. Will check your other videos you mention for tips on training. Couple questions: 1. Do you perform exercises before or after climbing? 2. How long do you spend climbing during a session and is it mostly spent projecting or doing a range of boulders at different levels?

Thank you for watching! Hope you find the following suggestions helpful. 1-It’s definitely better to perform the specific climbing exercises while you are fresh and fully warmed up. We typically perform these exercises after 30 minutes or 1 hour of warming up on and off the wall. 2- We keep the climbing sessions relatively short with high intensity which help us to be more specific on the training goals and also avoid overuse/injury.
