I've been enjoying cruising around town on e-bikes (and sometimes a normal bike). I really like the Cottonwood Creek Trail and Pikes Peak Greenway. While it is touristy, I love going to the Garden of the Gods to hike and ride bikes. My wife and I went to Cottonwood Creek Park a few days ago, got a shaved ice while sitting on the grass enjoying the nice day. The summers are awesome here - warm but not oppressively hot with relief at night.

the temps are probably my favorite thing haha it's not terrrrribly hot and i love how it cools off in the evening. We went to garden of the gods the other morning (around 730), and it wasn't packed and the temps were PERF

I moved to Colorado Springs 16 years ago, and I have still never been to Seven Falls, Bishop's Castle, North Pole, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Tram Railway, Mining Museum, Glen Eyrie Castle, Rock Ledge Ranch, Flying W Ranch, Manitou Springs Mineral Springs, the Barr Trail, Cave of the Winds or Manitou Grand Caverns, Ghost Town Museum, or the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine. And those are just the tourist sites I can think of off the top of my head. I have meant to see them, just never got around to it. I have been to a lot of great places around town. Just not these that you find in a typical visitor's brochure. EDIT: I made my comment above before actually watching the video. After watching the entire video, I was reminded of one of the reasons I haven't been to some of these attractions; I DON"T pay for parking. Not ever. No where. That's why, after 16 years, there are still a lot of places I haven't been. And this includes downtown. I won't go ANYWHERE someone demands I pay to park my car. That and toll roads; I do not fuck with them, either.

LOL - whatever you do. Never move to Florida. It has the most miles of toll roads of any state. I lived in Orlando for 12 years and it was really hard not to use the toll roads just to get to the airport. Technically you _can_ get there and back without tolls but you spend a _lot_ more time. Also, many of the bridges to the coast are toll bridges and most parks on the beach are paid parking.

@@JasonTaylor-po5xc I used to drive a truck, and my employer frequently sent me to Florida to pick up citrus. Weirdly, I usually took it to California. They grow oranges in California, don't they? Fortunately, my employer paid the tolls, otherwise I would have never gone down there.

@@badbiker666 Ironically, many oranges in Florida supermarkets are grown in California. I think most oranges in Florida are for juicing. In winter, we would go buy from farmer's markets or fruit stands to get native Florida oranges and other citrus.

Is this video about Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs??? Title says Colorado Springs, but content is Manitou!
@Explore.ColoradoSprings

Both haha! Manitou is so close to the Springs they've basically merged together. We start the video in OCC which is Colorado Springs technically, then hit a few spots in Manitou, and then back to Jake & Tellys which is also in OCC!
