DreThaBeast - no, haha. But to tell you what did happen was better than the movies. So we were laying there talking, an all of a sudden we hear my roomates arguing with some unknowns so I threw on my pants, wig and aviators threw open the door pretty drunk saw an opportunity for something Lee, and did his jumping kick with the scream into hitman stance ( up/forward 3+4, hold 3+4.) All of a sudden my roommate and them start swinging and I got hit twice in the face tryna throw them all out in the front, once out there it was chaos. The police shined this bright ass light at the house, and the front door slammed and was locked. I was out there with pants on and my excellent silver hair, so I hopped my backyard fence with some random dude and we were hiding in the bushes. If anyone remembers that scene from beer fest where he's hiding from the cops, then realizes he doesn't have to. That was my moment. But did I ever give the thumbs up with excellent? You bet your ass I did. When my friends found out I banged. Then I told them, Two fingers!

I have a lot of respect for Lee players but I do not believe he is more difficult than Steve. Steve requires some of the most precise execution and finger dexterity of any character on the cast. He is one of the few characters where you have to worry about how tired your fingers are compromising whether you win or lose. Not to mention you have to also be very good at Duck cancelling and his stance cancels which require holds and constantly changing direction during combos. There is no character like Steve. It's almost like charge partitioning if you know what that means. So much of his capability comes through his Flicker cancels that you have to know how to do it on both sides. You have to master duck cancels on both sides, his f2 linker is extremely tight on execution, you need to master the finger dexterity on both sides, and his Flicker cancels on both sides. Anyone that doubts the truth of what I'm saying, just take this character into practice for about 3 hours and you will understand. Look up his bread-and-butter combos and take him into practice, I want you to tell me how many times you effectively land his combos in those first three hours. I'd be surprised if you could do it 1 in 15 if you are new. I don't mean you directly OP, I am speaking in general.

@@robbie_azure I agree on that feeling, it was a hard wake up call coming from TTT2 to Tekken 7 for Steve. I wasn't going to drop the character but I was very frustrated for a long while there. Finally it just clicked. I had mastered his Wildman and Flicker cancels on Tag 2, but then I had to master the damn f2 linker. I have that stuff mastered now but it took months and it was quite frustrating.

I would argue that anything is easy when you're used to it... Lee is still the hardest to play imho, especialLEE with so much execution difficulty for average reward. But again I main Lee because of his ELEGANCY

Same and I started on tekken 6 last year and I've gotten pretty used to him,1400 matches later and I'm pretty much set,I can't do all of them but I got pretty creative and made pseudo combos with decent damage

@@Deviltriggerfounder Thats not a risk. It's just you not having the execution. It's not a lot of times that it drops. It got a hitbox buff mid-season 1

Not everyone has purrfect execution, and that makes it a HUGE risk on whether you'll commit to the b+2 wall carry or go for the easier combo.

In Tekken 5, I absolutely bodied everyone with Lee. Used 3 moves. But then again, it was just us three in this village. F33334, D4444, FF3.

A bare minimum of + on block moves, only a 1/2 or 1+2 throwbreak, The easiest to block low sweep in the game that doesn't even give a combo on NH. SUPER linear FFF move that doesn't even give a combo. and the list goes on and on... He misses so many things that all top tier characters have but he doesn't have anything that they don't have. I love playing him but you are playing ULTRA HARD mode while others are playing on easy...

Combos are good and all. But without fundamentals you won't even get an opening to do those combos

It's only unbalanced if you don't know how to punish it. Like deathfist, people keep saying that it's too OP because it's "safe" on block. Probably the reason why the people who always complain about Tekken's balance issues are still in green or yellow rank.

@@myosotis8856 Which is why a lifelong, Paul main like myself only uses it when my opponent is open or previously stunned at the wall where it's guaranteed. There are some ways of setting it up, too. You'll get no argument from me that it's a highly, punishable move just like say, Bryan's Snake Edge or Law's d/b4.

Ultra hard for nothing

Bruh his season 2 buffs were insane, what are you smoking? His combo damage is solidly good, he gets 66 damage from his hopkick, can get about 70 off his main whiff punisher, 65 off a safe df2, 68 on counterhit off of his 11 FRAME MAGIC 4 (outrageously high for such a useful move, strong contender for best magic 4 in the game), and easily hits mid 70s off CH b4 (possibly the best keepout move in the game, seriously you can safely throw this shit out so often) and HMS 2. Lee's flaws are in the amount of risks he has to take to condition people.

Oh most of that was pre-s2 stuff. As for his buffs, his bb4 is an incredibly powerful tracking move now. It's fuckin +2 on block and leads to a 62 damage combo on normal hit. The new CH d3 pickup combo is really not that hard with sufficient practice, and made an already strong move significantly more rewarding. The WR34 buff lets him apply real pressure when he manages to land it on block, and Acid Rain is now an even more ridiculous punisher than before. They even added a shitload of range to Acid Storm for whiff punishing. He got a whole lot of great shit that he desperately needed, the only reason he's still not popular is because he's very technical, and the day they change that is the day I drop the character. The challenge is all of the style/fun.

I think that the problem is that if Lee gets a big buff, he would be too strong. As he is now, he has crazy wall carry, he can cover off of most of his counter hit buttons, and he has some really great long range pokes. He's not great for beginners, but neither is Hworang if you don't have the execution. All it takes is one simple buff and he could end up as strong as s tier.

@@Marthroy9000 Lee is already a good character, he would have to be outrageously strong for tournament contenders to even consider picking him. Top players have generally tended towards safe, simple picks. Even very powerful characters like s1 Leo and Feng were rarely seen in top 8s for being "too complicated," and Lee is a lot harder to execute with consistently than those two.

It's Lei then, Steve then, Yoshi, I think. People likely have differing opinions on what character of those 3 are highest in execution at hi-level play. Nina is said to be advanced, too.

@@smartie354 Lei is technical because of his stances not as far as execution. His difficulty really only comes with gaining familiarity with his stances. Once you have that down, he's straight forward, not only that but he can be gimmicky and can get away with a lot in lag or matchup unfamiliarity. He's not like Steve, Lee or Nina who's basic bread and butters require very precise execution.
