The Naturium is my favorite by far. I love the thickness! I would love, love, love a lip spf video. I have never found an spf lip product I could stand to wear because of the spf taste.
I bought that Ole Henriksen lip balm on a whim. Like you, I haven't tried anything from them in years. But their lip balms are so much better than anything I've tried in recent memory. They're so wonderful.
I haven't heard anyone talk about the Elf lip balms. They're decent and super cheap, but you get way less product than you do with the other popular lip balms. They also don't have any color to them, but they do smell nice and I find them fairly nourishing.
The Ole Henricksen one is soooo good, I have it in 2 shades so far. I thought I lost one while I was out shopping one day so I immediately ordered a replacement. I ended up finding it so now I have an extra backup. lol But it was that good that I didn’t hesitate to order another even though I had only had the first one for 2 days before I thought I lost it.
Idk what it is about the summer fridays lip oil, but I added one (rosewood) to my cart just to get a reward amount......and I became addicted.... I just now bought all shades...I'm not proud of myself hahahaha. But I swear, they are so different, I love the scent, the taste, the feel! I have so many lip oils, examples - Dior, Elf, Clarins, Nyx, and these summer fridays are my favourite.
No Problem! Also while in Shoppers, take a peek at the QUO blushes in the tins. I loathe the packaging but the blushes themselves are Very nice.@@EM-fs8nb
Such a useful video! I am going to check out the tower 28 and haus labs for sure. Also, you pronounce both the “i” syllables in the chemical names. So diisostearate starts “di” like hair dye, then “isostearate”. It seems weird to annunciate both the i’s but it is how the chemical formulas are distinguished. Hope that makes sense! Thanks for all the info!
Does anyone else have problems with the Naturium phytoglow packaging? Mine seems to burst out of the seams at the end of the packaging. This has happened with 4 different colours. I love the product inside but it truly gets everywhere.
Hey Amanda! Would you say the reformulated Glossier Gen G is similar in formula to the Clinique Almost Lipsticks? I’m trying to find the best formula dupe - not color dupe as I have both Black & Pink Honey.
My understanding of the Haus Labs is that the maxi-lip component plumps the lips over time. It isn’t going to plump on first use but if you use it everyday over a couple of weeks, you will see a difference.
I remember it was in the Skinn lip x6 serum. (Skinn by Dimitri James) and that was such a good product. It really helped fill the lips out over time. I think he had a few other good ingredients as well. But I can no longer find it to buy.
Please do an SPF version. I’ve been using Korean stick formula sunscreens to protect my lips. I’d love a more cosmetically elegant solution. Thank you for this. Your deep dives are excellent.
Im a Laneige ( addict...lol) but, they still don't offer anything with a pigment. For the life of me I can't understand why?. Isn't lip balm one of the hottest things on the market? So I've tried a bunch.... unfortunately Sephora brand - Junk Neutrogena - Sticky Inky List Peptide - Did not last fifteen minutes Summer Fridays - Not worth the steep price for a balm Rhode - It's ok for the price Thank you so much for this video, the Nutrium sounds like what im looking for I love your reviews !! Sephora brand - Junk
I have an Ultra Violette lip balm sheer colour spf 50 which is great. My fave used to be one by Fresh but they discontinued it and all the colours don't ahow up on my dark skin 😢
Great video. There are endless lip oil, serum, balm, glosses and now lots of them are hybrids of more than one category. Tower 28 Lip Products are a no go for me; they go bad too quickly. I do like the Nuturium most of the ones you reviewed, but I do enjoy others. The one I haven’t tried is Ole Hendrickson, so that may be on my Sephora Sale list!
Please do an SPF lip balm round up. It's so hard to find ones that don't have that yucky SPF taste and smell. I feel like the good ones are from countries outside of North America because they can use different SPF ingredients.
The naturium looks nice, I don't know if I can buy it anywhere, but I heard the lip oil from Summer Fridays is good. Apparently, not very much. There are so many unsincere reviews just because someone received a free product. Pity.
I can speak on the elf one. It is a somewhat thick occlusive balm that reminds me of the old glossier formula. The scent was not too strong and the tint was sheer but shows up more depending on the color you choose. I was happy with the moisture but that's subjective.
I like the cay skin but the packaging clogs over time. Everyone in the reviews said so, I bought it anyway, any next thing I knew 3 days into using it at a festival I projectile shot it out from the side because I had to squeeze it so hard.
My absolute favourite lip balm has always been the kosas hyaluronic lip balm in the shade pulse. I feel like it really hydrates my lips even after some time has passed and has a lovely minty feeling. I'm personally a huge lover of minty scents/flavours as I find I'm quite sensitive to scents :(
I need lip SPF, that doesn't taste like lip SPF. I hate the formula of the Colorscience sunforgettable lip;however, it does not taste of chemical spf (-it's mineral ). I own 3 and I never wear them. Because I hate the formula
I want to try the tower28 softies, but that applicator puts me off so bad lol! Seems most like what I'm looking for with formula though. I want a buttery, thinner and melty lip oil and squeeze balm. Milani lip oil is more gloss like to me, the esw squeeze balms are more sticky and thick. Elf squeeze balm is good for occlusive factor but too much to use daily for me. The closest to what I need is the Kopari lip glossy but it's a bit expensive
i've been using hauslabs pHd lip oil for a year now & i'm also try to the lip glaze in guava & everyone been asking which liptint i've been using, super hydrating & most importantly it's buildable!!
Thank you for the in depth ole lip review! This is what I’ve been looking for- a lip product like this, but also a review like this!! Also love your subtle eye liner. Need to master this simple eye look.
have the ole henriksen, tower 28 and persona and my fave is the persona, it’s slightly thinner than the ole henriksen which makes it a perfect daytime for me and the shade pomegranate is so pretty
I love the naturium and cay skin lips balms 😌 have you tried their lip masks? The cay one is really thick and nourishing and the naturium one is thinner but still feels great on the lips!
My favorite balm is either the Summer Fridays or the Ole Henrikson! I actually don’t like how thick the Naturium ones are, especially the clear one. They’re so hard to squeeze out, my hands will shake 😭 so they definitely weren’t designed for people with only one usable hand! I would love an SPF lippie video! I just tried the Colorescience spf lip gloss and it tastes terrible 😢
I would love a lip spf video. I’ve tried about 20 that are available in the US and ONLY 1 didn’t have the spf taste. It was the OKeefe’s spf 35 lip balm stick. I picked it up after seeing a RU-vid derm recommend it as a taste-free spf lip balm.
So helpful!! I have the Naturium and the Haus labs, and was contemplating a purchase of the Ole Hendrickson and the Summer Fridays. Totally agree about the gorgeous shade of Haus Labs in Persimmon and everything you said about the formula was spot on. I think I may spring for the Ole Hendrickson based on what you're saying, for the lip treatment aspect. I also have the Dior lip oil which, while I like it, isn't worth the price and I won't re-buy. Might be excessively goey as well, though it's good as a lip treatment. I like the Naturium lip balm but maybe find the colours unsubtle. In other words, I don't think I have a favourite yet that combines texture, colour, and the right treatment. Maybe it'll be the Ole Hendrickson? The search continues for my HG. Thanks for all your thoughts!
If you liked the Ole Henriksen lip balm then you will like as well the Physicians Formula Butter Tinted Lip Conditioner! So good, wish they came in more shades tho!
Yes to SPF lip video! For those curious about it, I would recommend smelling the Cay Skin balm in store. I have it and don't notice a strong SPF smell/taste. It might be a personal chemistry thing!
Thank you so much for saying the truth about Cay Skin. I tasted that SPF for the entire day! I read so many reviews and searched for something that had no taste/smell on purpose and I was soooo let down. Please do the SPF lippie video!
YES for SPF lip balms🤩 Please include sticks and tinted versions also Bondi Sands SPF 50 if u can, there’s a few scents but no testers so I can’t decide before I see reviews.
The Ole Henriksen one has been around for a while. It was only in the sunshine citrus though. I've first bought it about a year ago. It's been one of my favorites. I can't wait to try the new flavors, shades.
After watching this I decided to try the Ole Hendrickson Pout Preserve (Blood Orange) and after trying Dior lip oil, Merit lip oil, Naturium lip balm, Elf lip oil, Haus Labs lip glaze, and probably some others I can't remember, this one is my absolute favourite for colour, colour opacity, texture/finish, treatment properties, scent at this price point. I think my favourite is still the Hourglass Phantom balm but at that price I'm not going to wear it every day. This is a pretty close second and for 20 bucks CAD less. I hope they expand their colour range.! Thank you for the rec--haven't been this in love with a lip product in quite a while.
@@aj__love5919 Probably depends on your undertones, but I'm a warm peachy light medium and Haze is maybe the most flattering lip colour I've ever worn. I also love Slip, especially for spring. That one might be more of a neutral tone. I've also heard good things about Lucid, though that leans warm, I believe. It's kind of hard to go wrong though!
I feel like I'm the only one that isn't bothered by sunscreen smell, I love the cay skin! I honestly feel like most lip products should have spf but people would complain about the scent :( I'll snag up any spf lip products that are available though, would love to see if there are any pretty ones I'm missing!
