Well said, there aren't many companies that actually stay true to their mission to maintain low prices and still produce same quality products. I own two pairs, the Captain and the Diplomat and they are my favorite boots. I'm getting ready to get the Vanguard. Kudos to Thursday Boots, keep up the good work!!!

Great video! With so much negativity in the world today (it seems to me that trolling and throwing shade have become vogue over the last several years), you took time to share appreciation. I LOVE Thursday Boots! Have 7 pairs and a sneaker. I would have 20 if I could! Still have a long wish list. In fact, that Natural has been on my list for a while. I just purchased a pair of Thursday Vanguard in Indigo Chromexcel. Gorgeous boots. The clicking in the leather is perfect. No loose grain at all.

I have five pairs of Thursday boots. Also just bought their boat shoe. You just cant beat the price and the amazing quality product they produce. Feels so good when your foot sinks in a high quality leather boot or shoe.

I’ve never heard of this channel before today, but I enjoyed the level-headed and positive take. The Thursday President was the first boot I ever owned, and I regard them very highly. I’m going for a more expensive Grantstone split toe ($380 :0), but you can only have one first! Great video :)

And they are able to be resoled (they have a Goodyear welt). Are lined, and are designed to be comfortable upon first wearing. Thursday are a great deal. I got mine in black and wear them even with my tuxedo.

Thursdays have always been a great boot; especially for the price and more so when you compare it to many department store brands. I love it vid :-) Keep it up!

Agreed 100% on what you said about Thursday. They did great as a company. Also sending my appreciation from Malaysia. Bought my first Thursday President back in June and loving it. Now after watching this, I definitly going to order those Horween Chromexcel Natural Captain coz they just made it available again recently.

It has been brought up in a few channels. Frankly, as unpopular as it may be I hope they do raise prices a bit. Value proposition will still remain one of the best on the market and reward well-earned success! Maybe even spurn development...full leather insoles option, anyone? I am a huge fan of Thursdays! Great boots at a extraordinary price point for this day and time.

Made my first thursday purchase (last thursday lol) and it all came today. 2 pairs of captain boots (matte black and Arizona) and Tobacco bifold wallet ( been in market for new wallet for awhile) and a matte black heritage belt. It was a expensive order and despite all the good reviews I'd seen on youtube I still immediately felt buyers remorse after checking out such a hefty price tag with a company I never shopped with. Fast forward to today and I get my package....Mind Blown! I didn't even open the boots first I opted to go in order from the wallet - belt - then the boots. Everything I ordered just reeks of Quality (And the great smell of leather!) and I couldn't be more happy that I hit the checkout button last week lol I definitely plan to go back and get some cedar shoe trees and one of the jackets (maybe a jean jacket too as they apparently just added those!). If anyone reading is on the fence about buying something from the company I urge you go ahead and buy with confidence.

Agree, Thursday are by far the best value in boots. Others in the same price point will range from simply decent to absolute garbage, but Thursday boots are high quality. Not every boot has to be bespoke and such insane attention to detail (and eye watering price tags) that you're afraid to wear them. I have two pair of captains in Arizona adobe (fave) and safari and love them both. I'll be looking to pick up a pair of dark olive once they get the stock replenished, and maybe try a different style.

I have one Thursday boot that still looks brand new! 😊 Well, that's Because I lost it 😮 in a move right after I bought it many years ago. So, wherever it is, I'm sure it's a panty dropper. 😂🎉❤😅

Honestly I know very little about boots, but I reckon they've balanced the quality and price as well as, if not better than any other boot company out there. Based on what I've seen around, there is no boots with the quality of materials and design of Thursday at this price point of $199. And you're right, they have yet to raise their price when EVERYTHING is going up! Which is essentially a price CUT if you think about it. I feel like it's kind of diminishing returns when you pay more for Redwing, Grant Stone, JK, Nicks, Whites, or Viberg. Sure you might get a better constructed boot, but at what cost? As far as I can tell, they have not changed the construction and snuck in any cost savings either. I know they are constantly making small changes behind the scenes but as far as I know that is to improve their product, not save cost. I guess one cost advantage they have is that the boots are made in Mexico where labor is cheaper than the USA, Canada, Italy, or Japan. In fact, I believe Mexican labor may actually be cheaper than even China (don't quote me on that, but I've seen some data to suggest as such lately...) Off topic but I've also heard Indonesian boot brands make very high value boots as well. This "low" price can't last forever, but it's impressive and appreciated that they have kept it at $199 (for the President and the Captain) for so long, especially during this high inflation!

Thursday’s are perfect for travelers. They go with a suit they go with blue jeans. I hiked up a mountain in them then Immediately went to a fancy restaurant. They got beat up to hell because I walked over 50 miles but slapped on some polish and wax and good as new. Comfortable enough for long travels study enough for any adventure. Stylish enough for every situation

I bought a pair of Vanguards (Thursday's U.S. made boot) as factory seconds that had a superficially issue you had to really look to notice. I was impressed. I ended up buying a pair of Captains and a pair of their sneakers. I fully expected to see their prices hike up a bit this past year. Kudos for them for figuring out a way to keep quality high and prices down.

I have 2 pair of captains and I love them. I wear them 75% or more of the time I'm not at work. Can't say enough good things.

Thursday Vanguards are great, their sneakers are great, I even ordered my mom a pair of their sneakers. So we've got 7 total in the house.

I own 10 pairs of Thursday boots (7 boots, 3 sneakers) I will only buy boots from them even my work boots the Explorer matte black perfect for a security officer or Police or first responders jobs. I LOVE THEM!

I'm seeing a few videos that's talking about Insole problems and that it the thing to have a comfortable shoe or boot. It may come from not a stable footbead.

Really thinking hard about getting a pair of these

So I bought my first pair of Thursdays in September of 2019. They were a pair of black captains that I actually wore with a suit. I was very excited to get them because they had the exact look I wanted. Fast forward 3 months...Unfortunately they did NOT hold up. I was very disappointed. They was alot of wear of the edges of the sole and I even had slight separation of the soles layers around the edges of the boots. Like I stated before I paired them with a suit and wore them about 4-5 times a week to the office. Now my office job did require me to stand alot but again I was indoors in a climate controlled environment wearing a suit. Hardly a factory to say the least. I believe I wore them out on town 1 or 2x in that 3month period as well. Anyways I'm tempted to get another pair because they have the exact look I want in a boot and the price is like you stated phenominal, but im very hesitant after that first pair.

Different boots. Thursday has made it a point to keep the Captains (the 2nd boot) at $199.00 and Boot Spy points that out all the time.

I bought 2 pairs of Captain boots 2 years ago, and they are among the best boots I have ever owned, at any price. I do have to wonder if the construction is still the same, as the company does not have a huge profit margin, which is why they remain so reasonably priced. I would be willing to pay an inflation linked price increase if that was the way to ensure that their materials and construction remained the same.

The only thing stopping me, for a little while anyway, from buying another pair of Captain Thursday Boots is that I have a million pairs of shoes already. And a few pairs of boots. But I’ve been looking at four other colors for the past year since I’ve bought my first pair. No other company can compete with the construction, leather, look, feel, and price point, of Thursday Boots! No one! Cheers

I plan on buying a pair of the captain's and am undecided about the size to order. I am a size 9 in nike and other shoes I own. Thursday said to go down a half size . Has anyone had a problem with that? I have never had to do that with other boots.

Never changing your prices is great for the consumer but it might not be so great for the company or its workers. $200 in 2015 is worth $250 in 2022 due to our government's financial misconduct. By keeping the price the same, Thursday have effectively reduced the price by 25%. I would not mind at all if they increased the price of the boots to $250. That would just be recognizing that the boots are still worth the same amount. Thursday can use the additional revenues to reinvest in their company: equipment, facilities, materials and paying their workers more. Think about this: if they were paying their workers $5 an hour in 2015 and they're still paying them $5, they've effectively reduced their wages by 25%. So yeah, Thursday should increase their prices.

Check out the reviews on forums on Thursdays boots as of recent. So many people are having issues with quality, especially soles falling apart. I strongly guess they are not of same quality as they were once few years ago.

bought a pair of Thursday TItans, they fit fine however they ended up causing both of my feet to blister and bleed. Less than a week mind you since I purchased them, tried to return them and was told that they were "worn" and might not be able to return them. Long story short, after a long fight and having to send in photos and talking to outside agencies, I got my money back. WIll never be doing business with them again. I only shudder at how bad my feet would have been if I had taken their advice and sized down. It would have been return that pair for the one that just cut me up and that would have made the experience even worst. What I did notice though is that while the leather of the boot is really soft, it is extremely thin and the glove liner on the inside while may be a nice idea can cause your feet to slide unneccessary. I'll probably go with a Beckett Simonon or a custom shoemaker on Etsy for the same price point.

Literally everyone who doesn't a RU-vid video and talks about Thursdays origin or history, talk about the price point. The low price point is literally one of the things the company was founded on. They've charged $200 since 2013 as far as I'm aware. Honestly confused why you're saying you payed $240 7 years ago. Maybe you're remembering wrong or had some additional charges for something, because I'm pretty sure they've never been priced over $200. Possibly with the exception of when they did the kickstarter before 2013. Regardless, I've heard countless people on RU-vid talking about the price point not changing.

Dang you drug out the point. 6.5 minutes to tell us what could have been said in 1.5. Youhave a pleasant demeanor and a good voice, just wish it were used to provide more useful and interesting content. And Thursday is like the Vizio tvs of 2003. If you like Huckleberry so much, get a pair of their house brand Rhodes boots. I bought a new pair of closeouts off of eBay and they are really solid boots and cost $80. And Huckberry puts them on sale for around $150. I’d take those over Thursday boots.

Thursday captains are trash. I bought the vanguard and they’re really decent. Made in the USA unlike the captains. But the vanguards are not even close to Allen Edmonds or Rancourt. Please level up your boot game
