JD I think k you missed a huge part of this hire. Not only does it show how committed Marcus Freeman is but it’s a huge sign that the ND Administration is behind him and not afraid to spend money.

He's the first person since Lou holtz to want to win a National Championship in the CFP playoffs.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

“Challenge everything” is all well and good, but while most of ND’s moves in the portal, and in bringing back MD should bring positive results, I believe Riley Leonard was a mistake. He is a great young man, and his 2022 season was good. What concerns me is that prior to getting injured at the tail end of the ND game, he was having what can fairly be described as a poor season. 58% completion percentage against his four D1 opponents, and 44% against ND. 2 touchdowns and 1 interception during those four games. He simply doesn’t have a good enough arm to consistently compete at the highest level. Given his limitations in the passing game, he will have to continue to rely on his feet. That may work at times, and maybe even through most of ND’s relatively weak schedule. But come CFP time, if ND makes it, ND will need a guy who can keep defenses guessing, and not one who isn’t capable of winning a game with his arm. Given ND’s fairly easy schedule, it seems to me that they should be able to make the playoffs with either Leonard or Angeli. Angeli has a much better arm, can also run well, and has consistently improved over his time at ND, while Leonard has been on the decline. And considering that Hartman didn’t work, and that he had a better career than Leonard, Angeli seems like the better option for making a run next season.

Denbrock overated.... Joe Sloan called the plays for Lsu and was the qb coach for Lsu

Wow. 3 minutes on Denbrock and ND. 3 1/2 minutes on commercial. lmbo
@Voodoo3313
Denbrock didn’t develope Jayden Daniels. Coach Sloan DID. That’s the reason that the number one recruit in the nation isn’t concerned about Mike’s departure. Good luck to Mike. I know that he wanted to go home.

Sounds like you have a bit of a cold....feel better!!!
@ethanmyers4882

I grew up in Indiana 60 miles east of Notre Dame. And I was born with cerebral palsy, so I could not play football or sports. As a Notre Dame football fan for nearly sixty years, I have never been so excited for Irish football and with Coach Freeman. Go Irish.

JD putting in work with a cold for the Progrum that’s a win!

The way college football has changed with NIL and the transfer portal along with conference realignment and consolidation is forcing the administration at ND to act or get left further behind. The revenue at stake is simply too great and ND’s position as an independent has grown too risky even for the financial return they’ve enjoyed over the years. The question that sits before those executive decision makers now is will these actions be enough? Only time will tell…
@johnm2991
BIG get for the Irish, and a tremendous loss for the Tigers. 💯
@jeffmerritt6825
I have been a lifelong ND fan. I grew up in South Bend and many of my best memories are ND related. But in all honesty, I really don't see any way with NIL and Portal that ND will ever win another National Championship.
@SneeUnit
Everyone who doesn’t like Brian Kelly on one staff.
@Wuncler
It’s doesn’t matter who ND brings in. ND will be ND.
@wadegarrett2376
do you think Denbrock leaving could have any reason b/c of the rumors of Brian Kelly sniffing around the NFL again or that weird ass Michigan rumor? I'm guessing not, just a thought...
