Omg this is an amazing video. Thanks! Now I just have to save up a ton to buy myself one of those 😅 until I do, do you have any advice how to match pantone as best as possible if only working with a computer? Thanks for sharing x
Hi Heidi, I have the cotton passport. Can you please explain how the index and the swatches are set out. For example, if I choose a specific TCX number in the index and look at it in the passport, the next colour down (for example) is not the same as the next colour listed in the index. Why is this so? Thanks!
can the cotton passport be used for print media too? I have to design both fabric product and the color on the packaging trying to save money T..T thank you
I wouldn't use cotton for print (paper) or vice versa. As you can see in the video, the colors can look very different! I know the books are expensive...try watching craigslist (if you live in a big city) for a used one or check ebay. The paper books are easier to come by as they are used in a lot of industries...the cotton books are really hard to find used though!
Thanks for sharing this tip - but are you sure you're referencing the TPX / TCX colors? As far as I am aware, those are never free. (Plus the Adobe free trial is only a week now!!!! 🙄)
@@SewHeidi I was talking about the Pantone software. I installed the trial version and saved all the color books to my pc. Now I can just load them to every other software I want. :)
