So my mom is Italian and I made her eat pineapple pizza lmaoo the look she gave me

I love sweet corn on pizza. At home, when we make pizza, we add our homemade pepperoni, cheese, tomato, pepper from the garden. It has a lot of ingredients and it is amazing.

I am from Ireland, live in Germany. My perfect pizza I had in Poland, and it's got the standard tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese on the base and then it's topped with spicy sausage, ham, and sweetcorn. Once made, it's slathered in Polish garlic sauce. That shit is fucking divine. But I've also had the best ever "margherita" pizza in Sicily, which was just some local cheese on local tomato sauce'd local dough at a small trattoria in a village by the sea. It was also divine. It would've been the greatest pizza in the universe if I had some garlic sauce for it.

Swedish people: we put banana on pizza. Brazilians: hold my caipirinha! ... Brazilians come back with chocolate pizza with a scoop of ice cream on top ;)

“what is pizza?” basically anything that can be added to a piece of dough that you flatten out into a round shape, with the essential spread of tomato sauce & cheese, which then gets put into an oven so that all the toppings is bind-together with the help from the cheese. i just made myself salivate... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

As a Mexican, that pizza was a yikes 😬. Literally only Mexican hipsters eat that for the "experience", kinda cringe.

I am dutch. Here we have an amalgamation of cultures around the world. Including of course pizza choices. I must say when I was in Napels a few years back i was mostly amazed about the crust. Incredibly flavorful dough without it being burned. But the absolute best pizza i ever had was, though also in Italy, in a french speaking part of it close to Aosta in a mountain villages restaurant. This was a four cheeses pizza with a crust as thin as a couple of sheets of paper. The only drawback was i needed to order seconds.

A Polish version of pizza is a "zapiekanka" literally taking a baguette in half, putting tomato sauce cheese and usually mushrooms or ham on top. Into the oven it goes and when it is done we drown it with ketchup or ( more modern version) garlic sauc. It os quite good and nice hot street food when you are hungry and in a rush

Dear Beryl you can put corn on pizza but only only on white pizza like on Pizza Mimosa (Corn, Mozzarella, Cooked ham), but mixing corn with raw tomato on pizza is not a good coupling...

Here in brazil its very common the stroganoff pizza with extra thin fried potato on top (just ate one yesterday). You literally can't find a pizzaria here that doesnt serve that.

I love learning about different cultures through their food. How they transform seemingly humble ingredients into incredible memories and experiences. I also find it fascinating watching how people cook. As an American, the ideal kitchen is filled with tons of appliances, gadgets and space to enhance the cooking experience. Make it easier and less of a "hassle". Where as many cultures churn out beautiful, perfectly crafted, delicious food regardless of space, or gadgets. I love it. Guys it’s true, outside Italy, the best pizza is from Brazil (Sao Paulo especially). There was a big immigration of Italians in the early 1900 and theirs cuisine really impacted ours. There are more italian restaurants than Portuguese for example. Anyway, the pizza is to die for (no a big fan of catupiry myself tho)

the brazilian pizza part was SO off. we'll take a piece of dough and put literally ANYTHING on top. for example in my town we have a brazilian barbecue (roasted meat) pizza with garlic bread crust, and banana pizza with chocolate, and mozzarella with guava candy (this flavor is called romeo and juliet) pizza, and even sushi pizza!!!!!!! it's just pure chaos

idk why this remind me of my childhood, when i was in elementary i often bought this one pizza from the canteen (well its not really a pizza) it basically just a mix of egg + instant noodle that shape like a pizza, we call it "pizza mie" and its so so good.

Haggis and a sprinkling of whisky works on pizza really well.

I am hawain all the way... bell peppers ham cheese pineapple onion. We also have this what we call mad cow pizza which is quite a spicy one. Toppings are Spicy Sauteed Ground beef in garlic (salted), onion ground black pepper and cayenne pepper, then some chopped white onion, olives and cheese.

Ohhh, I love, love, love anchovies on pizza. Also, I thought the corn topping was a Brazilian thing... Some of my favorites are: 1. Anchovies, roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives (salty on salty, I know), tomato sauce, and lots of cheese. I love feta but that would be too salty, so mozzarella it is. 2. Spinach and feta cheese 3. Sardines, roasted red peppers, olive oil (it's a traditional topping for Mallorcan cocas, a kind of rectangular pizza with a thin crust). 4. Blue cheese, caramelized pears, dried figs, a drizzle of honey. 5. Pepperoni and cheese drizzled with hot (spicy) honey... I could go on... 🍕🧡

in Japan, my favorite is the mayo jaga pizza. it has sausage, potato, cheese, garlic, and mayonnaise. I don’t like maple formaggi here . it has four cheese with no tomato sauce and maple syrup drizzled on top.

I call my pizza the heartattack.I have tonnes of cheese. Eight different kinds of meat. That include bison, Turkey, pork, chicken, beef,rabbit,lamb and venison/duck. All this get minced into a spice mixed with curry powder, tumeric, coriander powder etc. All this is made into a Chicago style deep dish pizza. Things that don't go with pizza anything that's sweet

My mom's favorite toppings are avocado, salted cashews, and cheese. It's a not my cup of tea (I'm not a fan of avocado) but the cashews are surprisingly good.

Brazilian here! Even though I can see where the catupiry approach is coming from, as it's a kinda unique brazilian cheese, can't say I really agree with it being super representative of brazilian pizza. Also, I don't like it very much on pizza, it's too fatty... for those who don't know it, it's very close to american cream cheese in texture and flavor, but it's a pretty old thing, it used to come in these wooden round packaging, as regular cheese, and I think the texture and flavor used to be a bit different too - back in the 80s. Using it the way the video shows, like icing on cake, is more something of the late 90s onwards. The most common brazilian pizza should be the one there, it's similar to pepperoni pizza only it uses a brazilian type of sausage called "calabresa". That's the one that sells the most by far in Brazil. But also, seaside cities are famous for having pizza places competing for the highest ammounts of toppings... I've seen some offering like 200+ different types of pizzas. It's very common for local pizza places to offer at least some 40 different combinations. Sweet pizza has become a very common thing over the years here too... I very much don't like them. :P But it's also a relatively newer trend, becoming more widespread and common in the 2000s. Most common type of dough is thin, no crust filling, but you can usually get the whole range. And the majority of mid priced to fancy pizza places will have woodfire ovens to do the job. I'm not very picky about pizza, cheap cold morning pizza is just fine by me. But weirdly enough, the two pizzas I ate and liked the most was one in Japan, very thin biscuit like crust marguerita style toppings, and one here in Brazil during a stay to visit "Lencois Maranhenses", touristic spot in northeastern state of Maranhao. They both had super thin dough and crust, and a lot of yummy toppings. I do sometimes order Pizza Hut though. Every now and then I like having either pepperoni or super supreme. I guess because it's fairly distinct from brazilian pizza. Oh, I also had a few pizzas while visiting Italy a long time ago, late 90s... I must say, they weren't bad or anything like that, but I also don't remember being super impressed. xD Of course, we didn't go anywhere particularly expensive or "authentic", which I'm sure Italy has some awesome pizza places... just a regular restaurant that also offered pizzas. Also, this idea that Sao Paulo has the best pizza in the world... is just kinda bs. xD Sorry. The city does have some great pizza places, no doubt about it, including Michelin guide level ones, but it's just a ginormous city with pizza going from ultra expensive luxurious stuff down to barely edible. :P I don't live there, but I have relatives there, so I visit the city every year. But interesting and very different stuff on the videos! I wanna try them all. Coincidentally, I'm having pizza today! It's been a few months since last I had one. It's the frozen type, but I don't care. xD

In Hungary, we have a thing called Lángos, which is basically pizza dough fried in oil and then topped with sour cream, cheese and garlic. It's at every streetfood festival and beach, we love it so much.

I'm surprised they didn't mention anything about Brazil's toppings variety. It's quite common to find pizzerias with 50 to more than a 100 different topping combinations. From traditional Margherita to pizzas with shredded chicken, corn, sausages, fish, hearts of palm, mushrooms, shrimp, quail eggs, chicken hearts... to sweet pizzas with chocolate, M&Ms, ice cream, banana and cinnamon, coconut, peanuts, strawberry, figs, plums, guava, and all kind o fruits. It's kind of a tradition for each pizzeria to have it's own signature topping combination.

Properly made banana curry pizza in Swedish pizzareias is really good, probably one of my favourite pizzas ever. But also, Sicilian/Italian anchovy pizza is amazing. You dont have to have one or the other! Each pizza and their toppings are unique and good for their own reasons. I think that's what's great about pizza, it's so customizable and personal with toppings, that it can be a globally loved food.

I am from Vietnam, there a dish called " banh trang nuong" that we called "Vietnamese pizza" as a joke. You will have a thin grilled rice pancake as the base. While grilling, you usually add an egg or two, chopped scalion, sausage slices, chopped deepfried onion, hot sauce and mayonnaise. It is a street food and it taste soooo gudddddd

Here in Vietnam, there's this thing called bánh tráng nướng. It basically a rice paper topped with any kind of topping you want, there's no limit, egg, minced pork, jerky, cheese, marinara, pepperoni, you name it, then grilled or baked. Perfect snack.

That Khachapuri looks absolutely delectable, I hope I get to taste one in near future. That Swedish banana pizza on the other hand is definitely sacrilegious! 😂

I live in Italy the best pizza I’ve ever tried was one with a pumpkin base instead of tomato with roasted potatoes, pancetta, mozzarella and scamorza. Utterly delicious but difficult to digest. I detest bell peppers anywhere close to my pizza. I think all cultures have something close or similar to pizza. The italian version happened to become the most famous due to the italian diaspora from the late 1800’s and italians taking their version on almost all the continents. Still, pizza is not just italian. Anybody can enjoy their version of pizza. Edit: that napolitan fried pizza which we call montanara in Italy is BOMB! Freaking try it if you ever come to Italy.

Most of these aren't pizzas, they're just traditional dishes of different countries, it would be wrong to call it pizza. Everything that looks like pizza or has a similar concept isn't pizza.
