That probably didn't help, but takes a really HC GSW to argue that would had likely to keep up the previous standards with ageing roster anyway.

I am a die hard Klay Thompson fan. He got his “loyalty” contract while recovering from not one but two catastrophic injuries . They didn’t get the full value of the contract but did not hesitate to because of what he had done in the past. And now after two shhhh postseason performances he’s supposed to get his ass kissed again. I love Klay as a person but his attitude stunk once he wasn’t starting. It’s on record Klay has never wanted to sacrifice for anyone because his pride will not let him accept the clear fact he is not the top two-way player he once was and not only that he was pretty shhhty on offense they you needed him most. And to think with all of that he still got offered a 2 year 48 million deal during the season and he turned it down. I wish Klay nothing but the best but you all gotta stop this bs.
@devonsolomon4153
@devonsolomon4153 3 месяца назад
You forgot to mention that Klay and he’s team also proposed 4 deals during the course of the season that got turned down. By the time they offered that 2 year deal he’s mind was already made up to leave.

@@devonsolomon4153 I'm not so sure about it and I agree about GSW lost its one of it's cornerstones (K.Thompson) along side with SC 30 and Draymond Green to win 4 championships and getting nothing in return it just really sad to taking an huge L but as a Mavs fan I don't think this will consider this as a huge upgrade but it's like a washed and injury prone side grade along side with Luka and Kyrie tbh and you don't know what future might holds with Thompson when everything has said and done and just hit with another injury or bad luck resulting in poor performance then this trade is just nothing more than a waste of resources and a risk not worth to take but they just took it anyway and it ends up in failure that's irreversible from the Dallas Front Office so I gonna say it for now it's a Lose - Lose situation from both parties and I know this will age like fine milk lmao but at least I'm just being honest to myself and if this opinion might go wrong then I accept with all of heart because I'm just a human after all and mistakes do happen.

What led to the end of the Warriors dynasty? -League has become much better. Especially on offense. -#2 scoring options dissapeared. Klay's decline -relatiive to league in particular. Wiggins off court issues. And maybe Poole still plays well if Draymond doesn't knock him out? -Arguably too small. Related to first point; league is bigger & more efficient. Warriors were unable to find a big who could matchup and still stretch the floor. Tried with Wiseman & tried again - sort of - with their 2nd round pick, selecting Quentin Post. They should go for Myles Bridges next offseason if he doesn't resign. -Steph & Draymond are getting older - Again, also relative to an improving league-.

Bro that was one of the greatest dynasties I’ve witnessed the ups, downs, and drama had us all intrigued for years. The one major flaw the warriors made to me was not trading those draft picks and giving Poole a max only to shift him off for nothing a year later. I feel they should have did more to patch up that issues between green and Poole but they decided they wanted to side with draymond who is still a solid player but not the player he used to be at this point.

Curry easily has three good seasons left. However that may not be as an All-NBA player. Would expect him to remain at least a fringe all-star until 39-40 years old. But, can't really expect him to be your #1 option and still remain a contender, if his play falls off to that extent.

How does one define a dynasty? Because for me Golden State's dynasty ended in 2019 when KD left. For me, it's an UNINTERRUPTED period of championship contention where in any given period, a team has (1: won two or more championships AND makes NO LESS than the 2nd playoff round)

Tbh Klay got payed a lot even though he was injured a loooong time. I don't think he should've expected more gifts, his performance really wasn't that good last season. Also I think Klay is easier to replace than Curry or Draymond, in terms on what he brings to the team. But anyway, it's the last laps for these guys, very hard to pull off another run to the top, no matter what they do.
@urbaindelva7869
@urbaindelva7869 2 месяца назад
Tbh, the Warriors' dynasty pretty much ended after they hit the skids the season after their last championship. The league around them has kept improving. Steph, Klay, and Draymond have only gotten older and declined. It was bound to happen at some point. As for their FUTURE? They dealt it a big blow by trading Poole. Poole is not nor will be a star, and he was not gonna save the Warriors' dynasty by any stretch. But Steph had no somewhat reliable second option this season; Poole could've filled that void to a degree on top of being another good building block for their young core.

Green is still arguably worth 25 mil a year. Especially if he keeps shooting well like he did last year. Thompson's play has gone the opposite direction. & he didn't play well with Curry for some reason last year. Perhaps due to You would think front offices would talk to their players in objective terms like this. So they would be understanding as to why they are hesitant to give him what he wants. Perhaps that has been tried on many occasions, and the strategy just isn't successful?

@euro51116
@euro51116 3 месяца назад
@@JinhoIzanagawa Bogut was their 5th best player at best, and Dray missed a potential series closing game at home, with 2 more chances to close out. Lebron was missing his 2nd and 3rd option up 2-1 in 2015, and no one ever brings that up when discussing the warriors first chip. Besides, I said nothing about the Cavs, only that KD basically guaranteed GSW winning in 17' and 18'. It has been widely discussed by stars and management of that era that many teams basically gave up being compeitive in those years besides rockets and cavs, because of how unbeatable they were with KD. They would have easily threepeated and likely swept the Raptors without the injuries. I just dont believe the KD-less Warriors come back from the embarassment of 2016 so easily, given how teams were starting to figure them out. Maybe they win one of the next 3 but not the league-shutting dominance they had with KD.
