As great and accomplished as Novak has been, he looks coarse, awkward, and clumsy compared to the Baryshnikov-like Federer! Roger simply combined balletic, graceful and fluid movements with his high-level skill, timing, and precision. It was pleasing to the eyes- no question!
@TvRFReloaded You aren't getting away that easy! I emailed you last time but, apparently you terminated that address? What are you now? The Man in Black roaming the deserts of the world?
Not just beautiful form, but Roger was the most consistent aggressive player as well. No other player (with the exception being Rafa on clay) has produced such sublime and stunning shots as Roger.
Watching Djokovic or Nadal highlights, you're like "wow how did he get to that" or "wow how did he win this match" but watching Federer highlights you're just like "????"
@@ozzyakram441 Yeah but he was injured and forced to play 5 setters to unusually competitive opponents by his standards in Millman and Sandgren, (a match where he committed 56 unforced errors and had to save 7 match points playing lackluster tennis well below his average form).
As I have always said, carry the torch. All we 1HB players with fluid swings and Fed style serve and forehand. Carry the torch. It's the least we can do. Style never goes outta the fashion. Roger is tennis as it should be played.
In addition to the artisty and deceptively easy power that is Federer, i love that he QUIETLY goes about dismantling opponets. You cannot guauge the effort of his shots by how loud he grunts. He's a true class act. Love and miss you Fed ❤❤❤
That's my words over the last 10 years. So true... The only way to stop that guy from winning. Watching those shots is just something else. You just ask yourself. How is it pssible!!! Don't get that by any other player.
Still miss this Basel legend enormously! I absolutely miss adjusting my work, weight-training, and sleep schedules around his matches. Just isn't quite the same anymore! Luckily, we still have these wonderful memories!
Éramos muchos como vos amigo, yo llegue a faltar en mi trabajo porq en horas de trabajo era más de un partido de el., Valió la Pena y lo volvería hacer, quedo un enorme vacío y extraño esos años desde AO 2004 qué me hize su fan
I love the lightness in Federer's style of play and I miss him in the tennis scene. For me he is the greatest tennis player of all time, no matter how many Grand Slams others win. He was a great asset to tennis and tennis fans
Here's the thing about Roger that makes him the real icon and Goat for the game. He's the only one that makes the game look so easy: the movement, the smooth transition, the ability to play comfortably anywhere on the court, while the other great players look so effortful. He's the Tiger Woods of Golf or the Ronnie O'Sullivan of Snooker.
The more time passes since his retirement, the more clueless newbies on RU-vid keep saying the most ridiculous nonsense about Roger. Like, saying he was slow (even in his last days on tour with a bad knee, he was still much faster than the vast majority of players), had a poor backhand (on faster indoor courts like this, he had the best backhand of all time, insanely skillful, in a league of its own) etc. Thankfully, videos like this one prove it convincingly.
Sad some fans will grow up with Djokovics prime as “the peak of tennis” or whatever just because of his numbers. He just didn’t have the talent fed did ❤
Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, beautiful, vesatile player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he has, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1250 matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 30 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer.
@@scout7060 -Variety of shots Federer has is far more superior than Novak or Nadal . Yes, Novak is being most consistent player past 5 to 7 yrs but he regularly fake his injuries. He has done this many times past 10 yrs. He throw his rackets on regular basis . He opted out of mix doubles in olympics 3 yrs ago, it was very selfish and immature behaviour. He did this bcos he lost both his singles matches and eventually didnt get any medal. Bcos of all these behaviour, most ppl dislike him . Worst, he refused to take covid vaccination, Bcos of this, he was NOT allowed to play in Australian open in 2022. .thats why Novak never win any Stefen Edberg sportsman award where as Federer won it 12 times...All above qualities, makes Novak least likable player. Even if he wins 30 GS, he will never be crowd favourite...he may b the most successful player agree but Goat will be always ..Federer..
Peter Gojowczyk is a German former professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world number 39 in June 2018. He won one ATP singles title and reached two more finals.
This is why he is the GOAT! When he is at his best game he is unplayable. So beautiful game. He don't have the best stats like Djokovic, but he also started against players like Sampras, Aggasi and many others great players.
I'm not sure I could've run around the court twice at 38. Roger was still the GOAT. There'll never be another: Grace and Speed and Power and, most of all, Class!
Radu Albot is a Moldovan professional tennis player. He is the first player from Moldova to win the ATP World Tour singles and doubles titles. Albot has won an ATP singles and a doubles title
@@mr.40-15 he choked against Wawrinka 2 times: won the first set and lost the next three in 2 GS finals. Don't forget the H2h is 21-6 for Djokovic. That is chokeric.
@@wimgroart1870 Bro you cant be that delusional Nadal didnt get a single set against Novak for more decade. He avoided to face Novak in GS hardcourts . At least Novak is not scared of facing him in FO😂
@@prempititantipool3075 Not a single set in a decade? Nadal won 4 of the last 6 matches against Djokovic and 3 of 4 finals. And Federer won against Nadal 7 of the last 8 matches and won all 4 finals. So much better than Djokovic.
Speaking of Federer's positive things, I can go on and on for hours, days, and even years. Of negative things, I couldn't even come up with ones on/off the court. He's special. One word to represent Roger Federer ~ peRFect.
