As great and accomplished as Novak has been, he looks coarse, awkward, and clumsy compared to the Baryshnikov-like Federer! Roger simply combined balletic, graceful and fluid movements with his high-level skill, timing, and precision. It was pleasing to the eyes- no question!

Here's the thing about Roger that makes him the real icon and Goat for the game. He's the only one that makes the game look so easy: the movement, the smooth transition, the ability to play comfortably anywhere on the court, while the other great players look so effortful. He's the Tiger Woods of Golf or the Ronnie O'Sullivan of Snooker.

The more time passes since his retirement, the more clueless newbies on RU-vid keep saying the most ridiculous nonsense about Roger. Like, saying he was slow (even in his last days on tour with a bad knee, he was still much faster than the vast majority of players), had a poor backhand (on faster indoor courts like this, he had the best backhand of all time, insanely skillful, in a league of its own) etc. Thankfully, videos like this one prove it convincingly.

Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, beautiful, vesatile player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he has, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1250 matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 30 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer.
@sgketan
@sgketan 4 месяца назад
@@scout7060 -Variety of shots Federer has is far more superior than Novak or Nadal . Yes, Novak is being most consistent player past 5 to 7 yrs but he regularly fake his injuries. He has done this many times past 10 yrs. He throw his rackets on regular basis . He opted out of mix doubles in olympics 3 yrs ago, it was very selfish and immature behaviour. He did this bcos he lost both his singles matches and eventually didnt get any medal. Bcos of all these behaviour, most ppl dislike him . Worst, he refused to take covid vaccination, Bcos of this, he was NOT allowed to play in Australian open in 2022. .thats why Novak never win any Stefen Edberg sportsman award where as Federer won it 12 times...All above qualities, makes Novak least likable player. Even if he wins 30 GS, he will never be crowd favourite...he may b the most successful player agree but Goat will be always ..Federer..
