I enjoy the variety of subjects, supplies and techniques you use in your sketchbooks. I much prefer these to perfectly executed and curated sketchbooks that are beautiful but, rather than inspiring me, they confuse me about how to use a sketchbook. Yours inspire me to make better use of mine. Thanks for sharing!

Love love love your sketchbooks! Seeing that you have one spread that looks like a finished painting and flip to the next page and it’s blobs of paint with scribbles is so liberating! I have a sketchbook I love but fear working on because the first ten pages or so are great and I don’t want to “mess up” the streak. Also, I appreciate that you’re a fan of your work, pointing out the positive things that you love verses the things you don’t. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much for your lovely comment. You brought up some interesting points that I hadn’t noticed and I appreciated hearing your perspective. I didn’t realize that about my pointing out positives instead of negatives in my work. I do believe that is so incredibly empowering and important. I highly recommend making an abstract, explorative, or intuitive page spread in your sketchbook to help you loosen up your expectations for it. It was hard for me as well in the beginning to create such diverse media in one sketchbook. I soon discovered, however, that those are the sketchbooks that I enjoy seeing the most from other artists. Happy creating!

So interesting, the figure holding the sketchbook showing up. Love your sketchbook tours. I really appreciate you sharing the intuitive ones, I learn so much from them. Sometimes when I've been doing intuitive art, whole figuritive images show up in my mind. It appears thought out, but it really wasn't. It's so fun and surprising. Keep it up ❤ 😊

A lovely video as usual Linda. I'm always blown away by what comes out with intutitive work, I did one recently after my brother unexpectedly passed away and I've ended up calling it The Traveller as there was a figure that appeared that even though it didn't look like him, it definitely embodied his spiritual nature. These types of work are so cathartic and healing. I've been away from my painting for a couple of months as i've been sewing a lot (i flip between both lol) but now after a wee break I can feel the pull of the paints again. I'm hoping one day to be able to join your Patreon as I think it would be a good laugh and a nice experience but until then i'll keep enjoying your YT stuff. M 😊

I’m so sorry about your brother. How wonderful that you were able to process your grief through intuitive painting. It is an amazing process and always surprises me! hi! i like yer sketches!!!.....they are so, what wud i say: full of aesthetics!!!do you have "charcoal works"; i think twud be good to do charcoals! TFS

Thanks so much! Yes I do have videos with my charcoal work. I tend to use charcoal on very large sheets of paper and not in my sketchbook.
