Exactly! Some presenters and mainstream media are discrediting public support for JD. I feel insulted for my support for justice. I am a social worker in Australia 🇦🇺, I myself had been in the shoes of abuser as well as being abused . So, I can speak from professional point of view, abuser and victim point of view. My support can’t be more credible than this. I am not celebrate fans, only watched JD pirate movies , hardly know him before. After watching testimony, evidence, it became clear that JD is a good man and in fact , vulnerable man with addiction issues. Addiction, drugs and alcohol are criminal behaviour unless they harm others. In JD case, he harm no one , it’s just AH ‘S fault for bringing out the worst in him , exacerbating his addiction issues, she used it against him for divorce settlement. She was such a betrayal wife, and nasty instead of caring for him and being supportive to his sobering and detoxification, rehab . She Deserved nothing . If AH take ownership and come out acknowledging and being accountable and be remorseful and apologise JD and public publicly for immature mistakes, all will have been fine . The things here is she is showing zero ownership and zero remorseful . That is where she gone too far.

I agree, I'm only out of my 4 yrs abuse and it's still very raw. I was shaking and upset listening to her gaslighting, I had to turn her off. Nobody will ever understand until you go through it.

The abuse to me happened over 30 years ago, and it was VERY difficult still to hear her BS.. Things you don't do when you're being abused, You don't call them out.. you don't try to stare them down, you don't taunt them, and many more things that AH is currently doing! I never heard or "Heard" til this trial! Ugh.. Not saying he was an angel.. but... the alleged bruises on her face could have very well happened when the door got pushed over her toes, those bruises are consistent with getting hit in the face with a door! But I'm really inclined to think her make up artist created those "bruises!" Oh.. and if it was as bad as they BOTH describe.. why in hell did they get married FFS?

Still... this is massive Negative press for something that could have been settled out of court while still exonerating Depp (if innocent). But incidentally... I am very familiar with the pattern behavior of an abused woman. Certain things ring out for me when I hear her recordings... which for me cast a bit of doubt on depps 100% innocence ... and because those were made at a time before this court case... it would not be a case of courtroom acting. Whoever made those recordings and kept them was apparently building a case and we can only speculate on the motive... Maybe Heard figured Depp would settle out of court. But I don't think Depp was her target. I think she may have been short sighted in that it would lead to Depp. Chances are the book was someone elses idea and they were looking for some Star power to boost sales... Also, Josh Brolan is known to have been involved in domestic abuse with Dianne Lane in which the police have record of. Neither will talk about the incident but Brolan continues to get work so apparently they figured a way out of it that didn't ruin them both in the process...

A very good start is to stop accepting the choices politicians demand we make. For instance its absolutely absurd to vote for political parties. Its definitely desirable to take these organisations out. They provide absolutely no useful purpose to society, quite the opposite. But its going to take a far larger effort by people in general to do it. Whether we have the wisdom and courage to do so is another matter.

I think Johnny Depp is a genuinely kind person, a good person. Obviously he's a very famous person but he's still human and he's struggled with substances as many people do. The defense has gone out of their way to paint him out to be a drug addict with the implication that since he was drinking/doing drugs that automatically means he must have been abusive too. I know drugs, especially alcohol, increase the likelihood of DV, it did with my ex, but it doesn't guarantee it. There are certainly plenty of people who can drink, or do other drugs, without becoming physically abusive so as an argument it doesn't hold water. I think they were volatile together and they probably brought out the worst in eachother but, as a survivor, I find myself identifying with Johnny as the victim and I know how such things escalate. Much of what I hear him saying in the recordings is just resentment coming through and I get it, I've been there. I can also relate to the slow but steady accumulation of resentment that occurs from being physically, verbally, and emotionally battered over and over without any recourse. My heart goes out to Johnny Depp and where he was emotionally in so much of the documented "evidence" they've played. What audio I've heard was Johnny trying to verbally strike back since without a doubt he felt powerless to do much else. He was "hitting" back with his words, trying to wound as he'd been physically and emotionally wounded. Amber is like my ex in so many ways it's almost impossible for me to relate to her. If she were truly the DV survivor, I don't think I'd be identifying with Johnny as I have (as a survivor myself) but with Amber. Amber's career is over and I think she had it coming by choosing the path she chose but man, talk about irreversible consequences and becoming the most hated woman in the US virtually over night. She's going to have a harsh reality ahead of her. I do kind of pity her, not much, but some. I don't think she really thought it through and she was probably blinded by her own narcissism, especially considering Johnny, unlike herself, made it known when he was recording their conversations and yet we still have a mountain of damning recordings of Amber, like it didn't even register with her. Actions have consequences and Amber Heard's have made it more difficult for the REAL survivors of domestic abuse. She's made a mockery of all those who've actually suffered through DV. In the course of her charade she's drug many innocent people, not just Johnny, through the mud making their private and intimate affairs public for the whole world to see. She might truly need professional help for her issues, whatever they are, but I think the best therapy for her would be to spend some time locked in a jail cell, it certainly would be justice.

Becoming the main character in Fear and Loathing probably didn’t help. Hunter was …. A great writer for that genre but it’s manic, borderline insane and a rollercoaster ride while tripping , just to READ it. I couldn’t imagine becoming it as an actor and the mindset it would take. Amber obviously didn’t help but, I’d have loved to be a fly on the wall during filming and a fly on the wall when filming ended , to see the affect it had on JD.

It is hard to live with an addict. I lived with and loved an addict for ten years. It is a lonely, depressing existence. She made the mistake of thinking she could fix, change, rescue, control etc. She should, instead, have focused on her own acting career, addressed her own significant psychological problems, and accepted and supported Johnny..

However, I assure you that JDs increase in substances at that time, that they're would be any genuine concern for his well being or being a empathic person for her husband. In fact, there was no concern for that whatsoever, not because she is just a stubborn meany that gets cranky when she doesn't get enough sleep. She is a malignant narcissist/borderline that is pathological in her decisions and behaviors. She is and was never subjected to a drug addict ar felt the emotional pain that it causes to loved ones. She would have to have "emotional empathy" for her to feel the guilt, shame and emotional pain that it causes Amber is an extremely dangerous person to other people. Especially with people that she has intimate relationships. If there was not the outright trauma being brought down on Depp for the period of time as it did. He would have never jumped over the edge on his addictions. He's used drugs and alcohol off and on his entire life and he's always been able to function, work, make his appointments, travel etc. But all of a sudden, while he's at the back end of a brutal "devaluation" from Amber. He goes into a full collapse on substances? No way
